Description
まず、図1を参照し、歯車加工装置1の概要について説明する。図1に示すように、歯車加工装置1は、相互に直交する3つの直進軸(X軸、Y軸及びZ軸)と、互いに直交する2つの回転軸(A軸及びB軸)とを備えた5軸マシニングセンタである。歯車加工装置1は、ベッド10と、コラム20と、サドル30と、回転主軸40と、テーブル50と、チルト装置100と、を主に備える。なお、図1ではチルト装置100の図示を簡略化している。
次に、図2を参照して、工作物Wに切削加工を行う際の加工用工具41の動作を説明する。なお、ここでは円環状に形成された工作物Wの内周面に内歯を形成する場合を例に挙げて説明する。
次に、図3及び図4を参照し、チルト装置100の構成について説明する。図3及び図4に示すように、チルト装置100は、一対の支持体110と、チルト体120と、駆動モータ130と、補助シリンダ140と、制御装置150とを主に備える。支持体110は、テーブル50の上面に一体的に固定された板状部材であり、一対の支持体110は、X軸方向に間隔を空けて対向配置され、一対の支持体110の間にチルト体120が配置される。
上記したように、チルト板121の幅方向において、チルト体120の重心は、A軸に対してサドル30から離れる方向へオフセットしている。従って、バランス状態にあるチルト体120は、チルト板121の上面がサドル30から離れる方向へ向かうにつれて下降傾斜した状態となる(図5A参照)。
チルト体120と補助シリンダ140との関係において、軸部123には張出部124が設けられ、その張出部124にロッド142の先端が連結されている。従って、チルト体120の揺動に伴い、ロッド142と張出部124との連結位置は、A軸まわりを回転移動し、ロッド142の伸縮方向は、ロッド142及び張出部124の連結位置とA軸とを結ぶ方向(張出部124の張出方向)に対して変化する。この場合、補助シリンダ140のシリンダ圧力が一定であれば、チルト体120に付与される補助モーメントは、チルト体120の傾斜角度に応じて変化する。
次に、図6A及び図6Bを参照し、制御装置150による補助シリンダ140の駆動制御について説明する。制御装置150は、補助シリンダ140から出力するシリンダ圧力を高圧(例えば、6MPa)と低圧(例えば、3MPa)との何れか一方に設定し、シリンダ圧力によりチルト体120に付与する補助モーメントの大きさを調整する。
以上、上記実施形態に基づき本発明を説明したが、本発明は上記実施形態に何ら限定されるものではなく、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲内で種々の変形改良が可能であることは容易に推察できるものである。また、上記実施形態で挙げた数値は一例であり、他の数値を採用することは当然可能である。
以上説明したように、本発明に係るチルト装置100は、工作機械としての歯車加工装置1に設けられるものである。チルト装置100は、工作物W又は工具が配置されるチルト体120と、チルト体120を揺動可能に支持し、チルト体120の重心とは異なる位置に揺動軸線としてのA軸を有する支持体110と、支持体110に設けられ、チルト体120を支持体110に対して揺動させるための駆動力を付与する駆動モータ130と、チルト体120に連結され、シリンダ圧力を付与することで駆動モータ130によるチルト体120の揺動を補助する補助シリンダ140と、駆動モータ130及び補助シリンダ140を駆動制御する制御装置150と、を備える。
Claims (3)
- 工作物又は工具が配置されるチルト体と、
前記チルト体を揺動可能に支持し、前記チルト体の重心とは異なる位置に揺動軸線を有する支持体と、
前記支持体に設けられ、前記チルト体を前記支持体に対して揺動させるための駆動力を付与する駆動モータと、
前記チルト体に連結され、シリンダ圧力を付与することで前記駆動モータによる前記チルト体の揺動を補助する補助シリンダと、
前記駆動モータ及び前記補助シリンダを駆動制御する制御装置と、
を備え、
重力により前記チルト体に発生する前記揺動軸線まわりのモーメントは、前記チルト体の可動範囲において、常に回転方向一方側のみであり、
前記シリンダ圧力により前記チルト体に付与される前記揺動軸線まわりの補助モーメントは、前記チルト体の可動範囲において、常に回転方向他方側のみであり、
前記制御装置は、重力により前記チルト体に発生する前記モーメントよりも前記補助モーメントが小さくなるように、前記チルト体の傾斜角度に応じて、前記チルト体の傾斜角度が予め定められた既定の傾斜角度に到達した場合に、前記シリンダ圧力を変動させ、
工作機械は、前記チルト体が前記既定の傾斜角度を超えた範囲のみにおいて、前記工作物の加工を行う、工作機械のチルト装置。 - 前記チルト体は、前記チルト体の揺動軸線に直交する軸線まわりに前記工作物を回転させる回転テーブルを備え、
前記制御装置は、前記チルト体が前記既定の傾斜角度を超えた範囲のみにおいて、前記回転テーブルを駆動制御する、請求項1に記載の工作機械のチルト装置。 - 前記制御装置は、前記チルト体の傾斜角度に応じて前記シリンダ圧力を連続的に変動させる、請求項1に記載の工作機械のチルト装置。
