Description
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element.
As a photoelectric conversion element, a photoelectric conversion element using a dye has attracted attention because it is inexpensive and can obtain high power generation efficiency, and various developments have been made on the photoelectric conversion element using the dye.
A photoelectric conversion element using a dye is generally a transparent conductive substrate, a counter substrate facing the transparent conductive substrate, an annular sealing portion connecting the transparent conductive substrate and the counter substrate, and a sealing portion. And an electrolyte disposed inside.
In the photoelectric conversion element, when the photoelectric conversion element is viewed from the transparent conductive substrate side, the opposite substrate may be seen through the sealing portion. Therefore, when the photoelectric conversion element is viewed from the transparent conductive substrate side, it is possible to suppress the see-through of the counter substrate through the sealing portion and to provide an excellent appearance. There is known a dye-sensitized solar cell having an inorganic sealing portion that is colored by containing an inorganic coloring agent such as a —Mn-based black pigment (see, for example, Patent Document 1 below). Patent Document 1 below discloses a method for producing a dye-sensitized solar cell, which includes a step of firing a precursor of an inorganic sealing portion formed on a transparent conductive substrate to form the inorganic sealing portion.
However, the method for producing the dye-sensitized solar cell described in Patent Document 1 has the following problems.
That is, in the above Patent Document 1, when firing the precursor of the inorganic sealing portion, bubbles may be generated in the precursor of the inorganic sealing portion, and the bubbles generated in the obtained inorganic sealing portion are There is a possibility that the power generation performance may be deteriorated due to the leakage of the electrolyte to the outside of the sealing portion via the inorganic sealing portion and the intrusion of water to the inside of the sealing portion via the inorganic sealing portion.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and provides a method for manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element capable of manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element having an inorganic sealing portion in which generation of bubbles is sufficiently suppressed. With the goal.
The present inventor examined the cause of the above problems in the method for producing a dye-sensitized solar cell described in Patent Document 1. As a result, in the dye-sensitized solar cell described in Patent Document 1, when the precursor of the inorganic sealing portion is baked to form the inorganic sealing portion, a glass frit contained in the inorganic sealing portion precursor is used. The present inventor considered that gas may be generated by the reaction with the inorganic colorant, and the gas may generate bubbles in the inorganic sealing portion. Therefore, as a result of further intensive studies, the present inventor has found that the above problems can be solved by the following invention.

That is, the present invention provides a transparent conductive substrate, a counter substrate that faces the transparent conductive substrate, an annular sealing portion that connects the transparent conductive substrate and the counter substrate, and the inside of the sealing portion. An electrolyte arranged in, the sealing portion is a method for manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element for manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element including an inorganic sealing portion provided on the transparent conductive substrate, the transparent conductive A transparent conductive substrate preparing step of preparing a transparent conductive substrate having a substrate and the inorganic sealing portion provided on the transparent conductive substrate, wherein the transparent conductive substrate preparing step is the transparent conductive substrate. An inorganic encapsulation part precursor forming step of forming an inorganic encapsulation part precursor containing a glass frit and an inorganic colorant, and the firing temperature T represented by the following formula (1): The transparent conductive substrate by baking at (° C.) The containing an inorganic sealing portion forming step of forming an inorganic sealing portion, a method of manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element.
T GF -10 ≤ T ≤ T GF +20 (1)
(In the above formula (1), T GF represents the softening point of the glass frit)
According to this method for producing a photoelectric conversion element, by setting the firing temperature T of the inorganic sealing portion precursor within the range represented by the above formula (1), the glass frit is less likely to soften during firing, The reaction between the glass frit and the inorganic colorant is sufficiently suppressed. As a result, the generation of gas in the inorganic sealing portion is sufficiently suppressed. Therefore, according to the method for manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element of the present invention, it becomes possible to manufacture a photoelectric conversion element having an inorganic sealing portion in which the generation of bubbles is sufficiently suppressed.
In the present invention, the transparent conductive substrate has a transparent substrate and a transparent conductive layer provided on the transparent substrate, and in the inorganic sealing portion forming step, the inorganic sealing portion is on the transparent conductive layer. It is particularly effective when it is formed into.
According to this method for producing a photoelectric conversion element, the generation of gas due to the reaction between the transparent conductive layer and the inorganic colorant contained in the inorganic sealing portion precursor is sufficiently suppressed, and the generation of bubbles in the inorganic sealing portion is sufficient. Suppressed to. According to the method for manufacturing a photoelectric conversion element of the present invention, since the glass frit in the inorganic sealing portion precursor is hard to soften at the firing temperature, the components of the transparent conductive layer melted at the firing temperature and the inorganic sealing This is because it is difficult to contact the inorganic colorant in the part precursor.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the manufacturing method of the photoelectric conversion element which can manufacture the photoelectric conversion element which has the inorganic sealing part by which generation | occurrence | production of air bubbles was fully suppressed is provided.

As described above, the
According to the above manufacturing method, by setting the firing temperature T (° C.) of the inorganic

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the

Further, in the above embodiment, in the inorganic sealing portion forming step, the

(Example 1)

Next, by applying the inorganic sealing portion forming paste obtained as described above in a square ring shape on the transparent conductive substrate, a square ring-shaped inorganic sealing portion precursor is formed on the transparent conductive substrate. did. At this time, the inner peripheral dimension of the applied inorganic sealing portion forming paste was 96.6 mm × 42 mm, the width was 6 mm, and the thickness was 25 μm. The inorganic sealing portion forming paste was applied on the transparent conductive layer of the transparent conductive substrate by screen printing, and "SX150" (product name, manufactured by Murakami Co., Ltd.) was used as a screen gauze for screen printing. ..
Next, the transparent conductive substrate on which the precursor of the inorganic sealing portion is formed is baked at 460 ° C. for 30 minutes using an oven (product name “roller hearth type continuous furnace”, manufactured by Koyo Thermo Systems Co., Ltd.) to obtain a transparent conductive substrate. An inorganic sealing portion was formed on the top. This was used as a transparent conductive substrate.
Next, on the transparent conductive layer of this transparent conductive substrate, on the entire inner surface of the inorganic encapsulation portion and in the area covering the inorganic encapsulation portion by 0.2 mm, a titanium oxide paste (trade name “DPF1- 0004 ", manufactured by Sumitomo Osaka Cement Co., Ltd.). Then, the transparent conductive substrate coated with this titanium oxide paste is baked at 475 ° C. for 1 hour using an oven (product name “Roller Hearth type continuous furnace”, manufactured by Koyo Thermo Systems Co., Ltd.) to form a transparent conductive substrate on the transparent conductive substrate. A 97 mm × 42.4 mm × 12 μm oxide semiconductor layer was formed to obtain a first structure.
Next, the 1st structure was immersed in the dye solution for 16 hours, and the dye was made to carry on the oxide semiconductor layer of the 1st structure. As the dye solution, Z907 (trade name "DNH2", manufactured by Dyesol) was dissolved in a solvent in which acetonitrile: t-butanol was mixed at a ratio of 1: 1 so as to have a concentration of 0.2 mM.
Next, the electrolyte was arranged inside the inorganic sealing portion in the first structure. As the electrolyte, 1,2-dimethyl-3-propylimidazolium iodide (trade name “DMPrZ-I”, manufactured by Shikoku Kasei) was dissolved in methoxypropionitrile to a concentration of 0.6M. Was used. Thus, the second structure was obtained.
On the other hand, a metal substrate made of titanium having a size of 100.2 mm × 45.6 mm × 40 μm was prepared. Then, a 10-nm-thick catalyst layer made of platinum was formed on the metal substrate by a sputtering method. Thus, a counter substrate was obtained.
Next, a square ring having an opening of 96.6 mm × 42 mm × 55 μm formed in the center of a sheet of 100.2 mm × 45.6 mm × 55 μm made of BINEL (trade name, manufactured by DuPont) that is maleic anhydride-modified polyethylene. The resin sheet of was prepared. Then, this resin sheet was arranged on the surface of the catalyst layer on the counter substrate. Then, this resin sheet was heated and melted at 150 ° C. for 3 minutes to be adhered to the surface of the catalyst layer of the counter substrate, and the rectangular annular resin sealing portion was fixed to the surface of the catalyst layer of the counter substrate. Thus, a counter substrate was obtained.
Next, the opposing substrate was opposed to the second structure, and the inorganic sealing portion of the second structure and the resin sealing portion of the opposing substrate were superposed under atmospheric pressure to obtain a laminated body.
Then, the laminated body obtained as described above is heated at 205 ° C. under a reduced pressure of 600 Pa while pressurizing the resin-sealed part and the inorganic-sealed part with a total thickness of 140 μm using a pressing machine.
