Claims (9)
- 複数のカラーフィルタを有するピクセルアレイと、
前面電極と、
後方電極と、
前記複数のカラーフィルタのうちの第1のカラーフィルタと前記後方電極との間に配置される光指向構造と、
前記前方電極及び前記後方電極の間に配置された複数の電気泳動粒子と、
を含み、
前記前面電極及び前記後方電極はそれらの間に隙間を形成し、
前記複数の電気泳動粒子は、前記複数のカラーフィルタのうちの前記第1のカラーフィルタを通過して入射する光線を捕捉して、前記入射光線を実質的に吸収するか、又は前記複数のカラーフィルタのうちの前記第1のカラーフィルタを通して前記入射光線を実質的に反射するように構成され、
前記光指向構造が全反射用の凸状突起部を設けられた面を更に含む、
反射型画像ディスプレイ。 - 前記複数の電気泳動粒子は、前記前方電極及び前記後方電極に印加された差動バイアスの関数として、移動可能である、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記複数のカラーフィルタのうちの前記第1のカラーフィルタ、前記前面電極、及び2つの隣接する光指向構造の一部がサブピクセル構造を規定する、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記光指向構造が、円錐台、切頭された菱形、角錐台、又は切頭された多角形の形状を有し、前記入射光線を前記サブピクセル構造内に向けるように構成された、請求項3に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記前面電極が、前記サブピクセル構造において連続的な面を規定する、請求項3に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記前面電極が、2つの隣接するサブピクセル構造間に不連続な表面を規定する、請求項3に記載のディスプレイ。
- 一対の隣接する光指向構造が前記第1のカラーフィルタの両端と整列されている、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記光指向構造が少なくとも1つのカラーフィルタと位置合わせされている、請求項3に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記光指向構造の側面に反射性被覆が設けられる、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
