Description
Claims (24)
- リフレクティブ画像ディスプレイであって、
基板と;
基板に支えられ、第1の色と第2の色にそれぞれ対応する第1のカラーフィルタと第2のカラーフィルタを備える複数のカラーフィルタと;
複数のカラーフィルタに対して配置され、複数の光学フィルタのそれぞれが、入ってくる光線を受けるとともに、(i)第1のカラーフィルタに入ってくる光線の第1の部分にダイクロイックフィルタを通過させるか、または(ii)入ってくる光線の第2の部分を第2のカラーフィルタに向けて反射するかの少なくとも1つを行うよう構成された複数の光学フィルタとを備える、リフレクティブ画像ディスプレイデバイス。 - 基板が、さらに、光学フィルタを通過するか、または光学フィルタによって反射した、入ってくる光線を反射または吸収するための光調節層をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の画像ディスプレイ。
- 光調節層が、入ってくる光線の一部を吸収または反射するために、電圧源によってバイアスがかけられる、請求項2に記載の画像ディスプレイ。
- 光調節層が、さらに、光を吸収または反射するためにバイアスがかけられた電気泳動粒子を含む、請求項2に記載の画像ディスプレイ。
- 複数の光学フィルタが、第1のカラーフィルタに入ってくる光線の第1の部分に光学フィルタを通過させ、入ってくる光線の第2の部分を第2のカラーフィルタへ反射するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の画像ディスプレイ。
- 第1の光学フィルタは、第1のカラーフィルタを実質的に覆うように配置される、請求項1に記載の画像ディスプレイ。
- 第1の光学フィルタは、第1のカラーフィルタの一部を覆うように配置される、請求項1に記載の画像ディスプレイ。
- 入ってくる光線の第3の部分を通過させ、入ってくる光線の残りの部分を反射するために第3のカラーフィルタに対して配置された第3の光学フィルタをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の画像ディスプレイ。
- 基板が、さらに、液体媒体に懸濁した複数の電気泳動的に移動する粒子を含み、電気泳動的に移動する粒子が、外部の供給源によってバイアスをかけられた場合、入ってくる光線に対して移動するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の画像ディスプレイ。
- 光学フィルタが、ダイクロイックフィルタ、ダイクロイック反射体、干渉フィルタ、薄膜フィルタ、フォトニック結晶要素またはホログラフィックレンズの1つ以上から選択される、請求項1に記載の画像ディスプレイ。
- リフレクティブ画像システムであって、
入ってくる光を受け、入ってくる光の全てまたは一部を透過または反射することの少なくとも1つのために配置された第1の光学フィルタおよび第2の光学フィルタと;
光と複数の光学フィルタの1つ以上とが連結するように支えられ、第1の色および第2の色にそれぞれ対応する第1のカラーフィルタおよび第2のカラーフィルタを備える複数のカラーフィルタと;
第1のカラーフィルタおよび第2のカラーフィルタの近位に移動可能に配置された複数の電気泳動粒子と;
プロセッサ回路と;
プロセッサ回路と接続し、実行されると、複数の電気泳動的に移動する粒子の1つ以上にバイアスをかけ、1つ以上の粒子を、第2のカラーフィルタに近位の領域に移動させ、それによって、第1の光学フィルタから反射した光を吸収し、第2のカラーフィルタで受けることを含む方法をプロセッサ回路に行わせる命令を含むメモリ回路とを備える、リフレクティブ画像システム。 - メモリ回路が、さらに、複数の電気泳動的に移動する粒子の1つ以上にバイアスをかけ、1つ以上の粒子を、第2のカラーフィルタに近位の領域に移動させ、それによって、第1の光学フィルタから反射して第2のカラーフィルタで受けられた光を反射するための命令を含む、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 第1の光学フィルタが、第1のカラーフィルタを実質的に覆う、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 第1の光学フィルタが、第1のカラーフィルタに隣接している、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- バイアスをかける供給源をさらに備える、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- メモリ回路が、さらに、プロセッサが、第1の入ってくる光線を吸収するために第1の光学フィルタにバイアスをかけ、第1のカラーフィルタに隣接する位置に移動させるために複数の電気泳動的に移動する粒子にバイアスをかけ、それによって、第1の入ってくる光線を吸収するための命令を含む、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 画像を表示するための方法であって、この方法が、
第1の光学フィルタで光を受け、光学フィルタから光を反射するか、または光に光学フィルタを透過させるかのいずれか行うことと;
光学フィルタによって反射した光を第1のカラーフィルタで受けることと;
光学フィルタを透過した光を第2のカラーフィルタで受けることと;
第1のカラーフィルタまたは第2のカラーフィルタに近位の領域で、複数の電気泳動的に移動する粒子にバイアスをかけることによって、第1のフィルタで受けた光を吸収または反射のいずれかを行うことと、を含む、方法。 - 複数の電気泳動的に移動する粒子にバイアスをかけ、入ってくる光線の一部を吸収または反射することをさらに含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 複数の電気泳動的に移動する粒子にバイアスをかけ、入ってくる光線の実質的に全てを吸収または反射することをさらに含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 光学フィルタが、第1のカラーフィルタに入ってくる光線の第1の部分に、光学フィルタを通過させ、入ってくる光線の第2の部分を第2のカラーフィルタに反射するように構成されている、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 光を複数のカラーフィルタに連結するように配置された複数の光学フィルタをさらに備える、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 第1の光学フィルタは、第1のカラーフィルタを実質的に覆うように配置される、請求項17に記載の方法。
