Description
特許文献1に開示の技術では、データ線に出力する階調電圧を保持する保持容量は駆動回路に設けられる。従って、保持容量は発光装置における画素回路が配置される表示領域以外の部分に配置される。
図1は、本発明の実施形態に係る発光装置1の構成を示す斜視図である。発光装置1は、例えばヘッドマウントディスプレイにおいて画像を表示するマイクロディスプレイである。
以上が本発明の一実施形態の説明であるが、この実施形態に以下の変形を加えてもよい。
(1)前述の実施形態では、容量40、41および44がデータ信号Vd(N)を保持する保持容量の役割を果たすが、容量40、41および44のうちの1つまたは2つを省略してもよい。表示領域112の外側に配置される容量41を省略する場合、省略しない場合に比べて、発光装置1における表示領域112以外の部分の面積を小さくすることが可能になる。また、容量40を省略する場合、例えば、図9に示すように、容量41および44を保持容量として用いればよい。この場合、前述の図4に示す電極40a等を省略することができ、図10に示すように、図4に示す構造に比べて、配線構造が簡単になる。
前述の実施形態に係る発光装置は、各種の電子機器に適用することができ、特に2K2K以上の高精細な画像の表示を要求され、かつ小型であることを要求される電子機器に好適である。以下、本発明に係る電子機器について説明する。
