Description
ドライブレンダーで窒化ホウ素とノボラック樹脂粉末を予備混合し、押出機に予備混合物を供給し、配合した材料を冷却することによって、窒化ホウ素/ノボラックマスターバッチ材料を製造する。次いで、ヘキサミン硬化剤の存在下で、配合した材料を粉砕またはミリングすることにより、マスターバッチ粒子を形成する。窒化ホウ素、ノボラックおよび硬化剤に加えて、他の添加剤(例えば、官能基化剤、樹脂改質剤、研摩材、潤滑剤、繊維)も、いずれかの工程段階(例えば、予備混合、配合、粉砕)でマスターバッチに組み込むことができる。
比較例1−2
比較のブレーキパッド組成物は以下のように調製する:窒化ホウ素およびノボラック材料を別々にブレーキパッド処方物へドライブレンドすることによって組成物を調製する。
窒化ホウ素および樹脂材料を、マスターバッチ組成物を介して加えるという点を除いて、実施例1−2を同様に調製する。実施例1において、ブレーキパッド組成物は銅を含む。実施例2において、ブレーキパッド組成物は銅を含まない。
Claims (16)
- 基材、およびマスターバッチ組成物から形成され、
前記マスターバッチ組成物が、(a)窒化ホウ素材料、および(b)高分子樹脂材料の複合体を含む、ブレーキパッド。 - 前記マスターバッチ組成物が、約5重量パーセントから約60重量パーセントの窒化ホウ素、および約40重量パーセントから約95重量パーセントの前記高分子樹脂を含む、請求項1に記載のブレーキパッド。
- 前記マスターバッチ組成物が、約20重量パーセントから約50重量パーセントの窒化ホウ素、および約50重量パーセントから約80重量パーセントの前記高分子樹脂を含む、請求項1に記載のブレーキパッド。
- 前記窒化ホウ素が、小板状窒化ホウ素、六方晶窒化ホウ素、窒化ホウ素ナノチューブ、窒化ホウ素繊維、六方晶窒化ホウ素の凝集体、またはそれらの2種以上の組み合わせから選ばれる、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のブレーキパッド。
- 前記窒化ホウ素が、約1から約500ミクロンの平均粒子径を有する窒化ホウ素粒子または凝集体を含む、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のブレーキパッド。
- 前記高分子樹脂材料が熱硬化性材料または熱可塑性材料から選ばれる、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のブレーキパッド。
- 前記高分子樹脂材料がフェノールホルムアルデヒド樹脂を含む、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のブレーキパッド。
- 前記高分子樹脂材料がノボラック樹脂である、請求項1から7のいずれかに記載のブレーキパッド。
- 約0.1重量パーセントから約10重量パーセントの窒化ホウ素を含む、請求項1に記載のブレーキパッド。
- 約1重量パーセントから約8重量パーセントの窒化ホウ素を含む、請求項9に記載のブレーキパッド。
- 約0.1重量パーセントから約7.5重量パーセントの銅を含む、請求項9又は10に記載のブレーキパッド。
- 銅を実質的に含まない、請求項9から11のいずれかに記載のブレーキパッド。
- 類似の濃度の窒化ホウ素および/または銅を含むドライブレンド物から形成された物品のμ14値より最大35%大きいμ14値を有する、請求項12に記載のブレーキパッド。
- 類似の濃度の窒化ホウ素および/または銅を含むドライブレンド物から形成された物品のμ14値より約10%から約35%大きいμ14値を有する、請求項12に記載のブレーキパッド。
- 類似の濃度の窒化ホウ素および/または銅を含むドライブレンド物から得られた物品のSAE J2522試験後のパッド厚さ損失より、最大65%低い前記パッド厚さ損失を有する、請求項12に記載のブレーキパッド。
- 類似の濃度の窒化ホウ素および/または銅を含むドライブレンド物から得られた物品のSAE J2522試験後のパッド厚さ損失より、約10%から約65%低い前記パッド厚さ損失を有する、請求項12に記載のブレーキパッド。
