Claims (23)
- 遠位端および近位端を有するハウジング;
該ハウジングの前記遠位端に取り付けられる近位端と、少なくとも1つのポートを有する遠位先端と、一端が前記ポートに他端が前記ハウジング内の吸引経路に連通する内腔とを有するカニューレであって、前記ポートの断面積が前記内腔の断面積より小さいカニューレ;
患者の眼からの硝子体およびその他の組織の除去を補助するために、前記カニューレの前記遠位先端を振動させるための前記ハウジング内に保持される振動発生源;および
液体および硝子体およびその他の組織を前記眼から除去するために、前記内腔および前記少なくとも一つのポートに陰圧を適用するための前記吸引経路に接続される吸引発生源、
を含む眼科手術器具であって、
前記振動発生源および前記吸引発生源は、前記カニューレの遠位先端において、該遠位先端の外側にキャビテーションを発生させることなしに、前記ポートを通過する組織の周期的な二方向の流れを作り出すように、前記ポートの断面積および前記カニューレの遠位先端の先端速度を選択し、望ましい吸引流を達成するように真空吸引の選択をするよう構成されてなることを特徴とする眼科手術器具。 - 前記ハウジングおよび前記振動発生源は水晶体超音波乳化吸引手術装置の一部であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の器具。
- 前記カニューレは、前記水晶体超音波乳化吸引手術装置への取り付けのための螺入式接続部を有することを特徴とする請求項2記載の器具。
- 前記カニューレに取り付けられ、前記カニューレの遠位先端を超えて延伸する防護器具をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1から3いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記眼科手術器具に取り付けられ、前記カニューレの遠位先端の周囲を取り囲み、これを超えて延伸するジャケットをさらに含み、前記ジャケットは前記カニューレの遠位先端に近接するポートを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から3いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記カニューレの遠位先端が、前記内腔と連絡する多数のポートを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から5いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記多数のポートが、前記カニューレの中心軸の側面に形成されることを特徴とする請求項6記載の器具。
- 前記少なくとも一つのポートは、手術中に外科医が前記少なくとも一つのポートを視認し、前記少なくとも一つのポートを備える側面とは反対側にある前記カニューレの遠位先端の側面が損傷を引き起こすことなく繊細な組織に接触することが可能となるのを助けるために、前記カニューレの遠位先端の側面に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1から7いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記少なくとも一つのポートは、75,000平方マイクロメートル(μm2)未満の断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1から8いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記少なくとも一つのポートは、前記内腔よりも小さい断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1から9いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記少なくとも一つのポートは、35,000平方マイクロメートル(μm2)未満の断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1から10いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記少なくとも一つのポートは、20,000平方マイクロメートル(μm2)未満の断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1から11いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記振動発生源は、縦振動、左右の回転振動、および横振動の1つ以上の方式で前記カニューレの遠位先端を振動させることを特徴とする請求項1から12いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記振動発生源は、水晶体断片を除去するのに十分に前記カニューレの遠位先端を振動させることを特徴とする請求項1から13いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記カニューレは、前記少なくとも一つのポートを外科医が視認するのを支援するために湾曲していることを特徴とする請求項1から14いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記少なくとも一つのポートは、735mmHg以下の真空状態において1グラム未満の保持力を有することを特徴とする請求項1から15いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記眼と連絡する注入液供給源をさらに含み、前記眼に注入される注入液の圧力は眼内圧の一部を作ることを特徴とする請求項1から16いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記眼へ挿入するためのものであり、前記内腔の前記断面積よりも大きい断面積を有する注入カニューレをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項17記載の器具。
- 前記振動発生源および前記吸引発生源は協働して、前記ポートおよび前記内腔を通過する組織の望ましい吸引流量を作り出すことを特徴とする請求項1から18いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記内腔から前記ポートの外側までのある体積の組織のピーク速度は、前記望ましい吸引流量において前記内腔を通過する組織の平均速度に少なくとも等しいことを特徴とする請求項19記載の器具。
- 前記カニューレは、前記内腔の内側及び前記ポートが円形である場合において、14.4メートル/秒に前記ポート断面積と前記内腔の断面積との比を掛けた値で振動することを特徴とする請求項1から20いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記カニューレは、23ゲージ以下の外径を有することを特徴とする請求項1から21いずれか1項記載の器具。
- 前記ポート断面積は、前記内腔断面積の1/3未満であることを特徴とする請求項1から22いずれか1項記載の器具。
