Claims (22)
- 複数の電極にそれぞれ結合されるように構成された複数の電気端子と、
複数のタイミングチャネルの個々の電気パルス列を前記電気端子にそれぞれ出力するように構成された変調出力回路であって、該パルス列の各々が変調パルスを有し、該パルス列のうちの少なくとも1つのパルス列が、該少なくとも1つのパルス列のそれぞれの該変調パルスに関連付けられた電荷回収パルスを有する、前記変調出力回路と、
それぞれの前記パルス列の前記変調パルスを、電荷回収パルスを割り込ませることなしに前記電気端子の共通セットに連続して出力し、かつ連続した変調パルスに続いて前記少なくとも1つのパルス列の該電荷回収パルスを該電気端子の該共通セットに出力してそれぞれの前記パルス列の前記変調パルスの組合せ電荷にほぼ等しい組合せ電荷を提供し、それによって該電気端子の共通セットで組合せ電気パルス列を生成する方式で前記変調出力回路を制御するように構成された制御回路と、
を含むことを特徴とする神経変調システム。 - 前記連続した変調パルスは、互いに対して時間的に離間していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記連続した変調パルスは、互いに対して均一に離間していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記連続した変調パルスは、1msよりも短い期間だけ互いに対して時間的に離間されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記連続した変調パルスは、互いに対して時間的に連続していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記パルス列のうちの1つだけが前記電荷回収パルスを有し、該電荷回収パルスは、前記連続した変調パルスの組合せ電荷にほぼ等しい電荷を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 複数の前記パルス列は、前記変調パルスにそれぞれ関連付けられた電荷回収パルスを有し、前記制御回路は、それぞれの前記パルス列の該電荷回収パルスを、変調パルスを割り込ませることなしに前記電気端子の前記共通セットに連続して出力する方式で前記変調出力回路を制御するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 連続した前記電荷回収パルスは、互いに対して時間的に離間していることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の神経変調システム。
- 連続した前記電荷回収パルスは、互いに対して時間的に連続していることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の神経変調システム。
- 連続した前記電荷回収パルスは、互いに対して時間的に重なっていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記電荷回収パルスは、前記変調パルスの組合せ電荷にほぼ等しい組合せ電荷を有することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記パルス列の各々が、1.2kHzよりも低い固定パルス繰返し数を有し、前記組合せパルス列は、1.2kHzよりも高い平均パルス繰返し数を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記パルス列の各々が、同じパルス繰返し数を有し、前記組合せパルス列は、該パルス列の各々の該パルス繰返し数よりも高い均一なパルス繰返し数を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記変調パルスは、同じパルス振幅及び同じパルス幅を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記変調パルスのうちの少なくとも2つが、異なるパルス振幅及び異なるパルス幅のうちの少なくとも一方を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記電荷回収パルスは、受動的であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記電荷回収パルスは、能動的であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記電気端子の共通セットは、1つのみの電気端子を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記電気端子の共通セットは、1つよりも多い電気端子を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
- 前記連続した変調パルスの特性を定める入力をユーザから受け入れるように構成されたユーザインタフェースを更に含み、
前記制御回路は、ユーザにより定められた前記特性に従ってそれぞれの前記パルス列の前記変調パルスを前記電気端子の前記共通セットに連続して出力する方式で前記変調出力回路を制御するように構成されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。 - 前記電気端子の共通セットに対応する電極セットを指定する入力をユーザから受け入れるように構成されたユーザインタフェースを更に含み、
前記制御回路は、ユーザにより指定された共通の前記電極セットに従って前記電気端子の共通セットを選択するように構成されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。 - 前記複数の電気端子と、前記変調出力回路と、前記制御回路とを収容するケーシングを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経変調システム。
