Description
The present invention relates to a molding for a vehicle, and more particularly, to a molding used to hold a windshield on a vehicle body.
In the field of vehicle front and rear windows, wind molding is used to mount glass on the vehicle body side.
A conventional general structure is shown in FIG.
Metal glossy molding is preferred because of the design of the front or rear view of the vehicle.
Therefore, the
Therefore, in order to mount the
In addition, because the windshield and rear glass are curved glass because of the demand for functionality and design as a vehicle window, although the shape of the metal material is also bent in advance according to the curved shape, There is a variation in bending between the curved surface of the glass and there is a problem that it is difficult to follow the curved surface of the glass in the case of a highly rigid metal material.
Furthermore, the metal material used for molding is more expensive than a resin material due to demands for high corrosion resistance and the like, and there is a problem that the weight is heavy.
Although the molding disclosed in
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a molding that is excellent in mountability to a peripheral portion of a window glass and that is lightweight and low in cost.
The present invention is a molding to be mounted on a peripheral portion of a windshield, wherein the molding has a holding lip made of resin integrally with the metal material at one end of the metal material in a cross-sectional shape, A holding portion located on the back side of the wind glass and one end portion of the metal material do not extend to the holding portion, and the other end portion of the metal material is located on the surface of the wind glass and a glass seal The glass seal lip includes a connecting portion that is connected so as to wrap around the other end of the metal material , a seal lip that applies a pressing force toward the glass surface, and a support lip; The window glass is held so that the peripheral portion of the wind glass is sandwiched between the seal lip and support lip on the side and the holding portion. To.
Here, the holding lip is more easily elastically deformed than a metal material, and does not have a core material or the like made of a metal material at least in a portion that contacts the glass.
In the present invention, a metal material is used as a core material of a molding, and a resin holding lip for holding glass at one end in the cross section of the core material is formed integrally with the core material. There is no limitation on the use of the molding as long as the peripheral edge of the glass is sandwiched and held between the end and the holding lip.
As molding at least part of the metal material is glossy design surface, suitable for front window molding of the vehicle.
In this case, the other end portion of the metal material may have a glass seal lip for pressing and sealing toward the glass, and the body lip for pressing and sealing the holding lip or the one end portion of the metal material toward the vehicle body side. You may have a lip.
In the molding according to the present invention, since the peripheral edge of the glass is held by the metal material and the resin-made holding lip integrally formed at one end of the cross section, the insertion force when the molding is attached to the peripheral edge of the glass However, as compared with the conventional U-shaped metal molding, it is small and excellent in bending followability to curved glass, so that the assembling property is improved.
In addition, since the amount of metal used is reduced, there is an effect of reducing weight and cost.

例えば保持部12aがTPO(Thermo Plastic Olefin)樹脂の場合にウレタンシーラーとの接着性に劣る。
