Description
液晶ディスプレイにおけるカラーフィルタ02が対向基板1に配置される場合、対応するアレイ基板2の製造過程は下記の工程を備える。
(1)図3aに示すように、アレイ基板2にゲートライン(図示していない)と、ゲート電極07とが含まれたパターンを形成する。
(2)図3bに示すように、ゲート電極07が含まれたパターンにゲート絶縁層08を形成し、このゲート絶縁層08はゲートラインと、ゲートと電極07とを覆う。
(3)図3cに示すように、ゲート絶縁層08に活性層09が含まれたパターンを形成し、この活性層09はゲート電極07の上方に位置する。
(4)図3dに示すように、活性層09が含まれたパターンに、データライン(図示していない)と、ソースドレイン電極10とが含まれたパターンを形成する。
(5)図3eに示すように、ソースドレイン電極10が含まれたパターンとゲート絶縁層08とに第1の絶縁(PVX)層11を形成し、第1の絶縁層11にビアホール110が形成されている。
(6)図3fに示すように、第1の絶縁(PVX)層11に画素電極032を形成し,画素電極032は第1の絶縁層11におけるビアホール110を介してソースドレイン電極10におけるドレイン電極に接続される。
(7)図3gに示すように、画素電極032に第2の絶縁(PVX)層12を形成する。
(8)図3hに示すように、第2の絶縁(PVX)層12に共通電極031を形成する。
(9)図3iに示すように、共通電極031に第1の平坦化層04を形成し、例えば、第1の平坦化層04を樹脂材で製造してもよい。
(10)図3jに示すように、第1の平坦化層04に量子ドット層01を製造する。
(11)図3kに示すように、量子ドット層01に第2の平坦化層06を形成し、例えば、第2の平坦化層06を樹脂材で製造してもよい。
(12)図3lに示すように、第2の平坦化層06に1/4波長の光学遅延層05を形成する。
(13)図3mに示すように、1/4波長の光学遅延層05に樹脂層13を形成する。
液晶ディスプレイにおけるカラーフィルタ02がアレイ基板2に配置される場合、対応するアレイ基板2の製造過程は実施例1の工程(1)〜(13)の他に、下記の工程を更に備える。
(14)図4aに示すように、樹脂層13にブラックマトリックス14を形成する。
(15)図4bに示すように、樹脂層13にカラーフィルタ02を形成する。
(16)図4cに示すように、ブラックマトリックス14とカラーフィルタ02とに保護層15を形成する。

Claims (10)
- 対向基板と、アレイ基板と、前記対向基板と前記アレイ基板との間に位置する液晶層とを備える液晶ディスプレイであって、
前記アレイ基板に複数の画素ユニットが設けられ、各画素ユニットは異なる色を表示する複数のサブ画素ユニットを有し、
前記アレイ基板における、各画素ユニットの少なくとも1つの色のサブ画素ユニットに対応する位置にバックライトが透過できる量子ドット層が設けられ、
前記量子ドット層が日光における紫外線に励起されてから少なくとも対応する前記サブ画素ユニットの色が含まれた光を射出し、
前記液晶ディスプレイに各サブ画素ユニットに対応するカラーフィルタが設けられ、前記カラーフィルタが前記量子ドット層と前記対向基板との間に位置することを特徴とする液晶ディスプレイ。 - 前記量子ドット層が日光における紫外線に励起されてから前記サブ画素ユニットの色に対応する単色光、又は白色光を射出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記量子ドット層が高分子ポリマーネットワーク、及び前記高分子ポリマーネットワーク内に均一に分散した量子ドットからなることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記量子ドット層が前記アレイ基板の前記液晶層に面する側に位置し、又は前記アレイ基板の前記液晶層の反対側に位置することを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記アレイ基板の前記液晶層に面する側に、相互に絶縁する共通電極と画素電極とからなる電極構造を有し、前記量子ドット層が前記電極構造の前記液晶層に面する側に位置することを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記電極構造と前記量子ドット層との間に第1の平坦化層を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記量子ドット層と前記液晶層との間に1/4波長の光学遅延層が設けられることを特徴とする請求項1〜6の何れか1項に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記量子ドット層の前記液晶層に面する側に第2の平坦化層を有し、前記1/4波長の光学遅延層が前記第2の平坦化層の前記液晶層に面する側に位置することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記カラーフィルタが前記アレイ基板の前記液晶層に面する側に位置し、又は前記対向基板の前記液晶層に面する側に位置することを特徴とする請求項1〜8の何れか1項に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 表示装置であって、請求項1〜9の何れか1項に記載の液晶ディスプレイを備えることを特徴とする表示装置。
