Claims (6)
- 超音波エネルギーを手術部位に導通して、線維組織を分断し、脂肪組織を細分化するために使用する超音波プローブであって、
遠位端と、前記超音波エネルギーを発生する超音波駆動アセンブリに接続するように構成された近位端と、を含み、前記超音波エネルギーを前記近位端から前記遠位端へと導通するシャフトと、
該シャフトの前記遠位端の近位に配置された第1の切断面と、を備え、
前記第1の切断面は、線維組織と接触し且つ該線維組織を切断するように形成されており、前記第1の切断面は、前記超音波プローブの遠位端から所定の距離を置いて配置された中心点を備え、前記所定の距離は、超音波エネルギーが前記超音波プローブの前記遠位端に送達されることによって生じる超音波の縦振動パターンの波腹と一致している、超音波プローブ。 - 前記シャフトが外面を備え、前記外面が、前記切断面を少なくとも部分的に画定している、請求項1に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記外面が実質的に丸みを帯びた外形を画定し、前記切断面が実質的に平坦な外形を画定している、請求項2に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記第1の切断面に対して前記外面に対称的に配置された第2の切断面をさらに備える、請求項2に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記遠位端付近に1つまたは複数の溝をさらに備え、該1つまたは複数の溝が前記シャフトの遠位端と前記第1の切断面との間に配置されている、請求項1に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記プローブ本体がプローブ本体断面積を備え、切刃を含んだプローブ本体の部分が切断領域断面積を備え、前記切断領域断面積が前記プローブ本体の約95%から約80%である、請求項1に記載の超音波プローブ。
