Abstract

Claims (7)
- 超音波エネルギーを手術部位に導通して、線維組織を分断し、脂肪組織を細分化するために使用する超音波プローブであって、
先端、該先端近傍の少なくとも2つの切刃、外面、および前記先端近傍の外面の周囲に延びた複数の溝を含んだプローブ本体を具備し、
前記溝は前記先端と、前記プローブ本体の長手軸に沿った前記少なくとも2つの切刃と、の間に配置され、前記少なくとも2つの切刃は、前記外面に関して略対称に配置され且つ前記プローブ本体の長手軸に平行に向けられていることを特徴とする超音波プローブ。 - 前記少なくとも2つの切刃に関連した面と前記外面とによって境界を画定された前記プローブ本体の部分は、前記外面によってのみ境界を画定された前記プローブ本体の別の部分の断面積の約95%〜80%に等しい断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記少なくとも2つの切刃に関連した面と前記外面とによって境界を画定された前記プローブ本体の部分の断面積は、約80%であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記少なくとも2つの切刃は、約1センチメートルの長さを有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記少なくとも2つの切刃は、約1センチメートルの長さを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記少なくとも2つの切刃は中心点を備え、前記少なくとも2つの切刃の中心点は、前記先端から約2.54センチメートル(1インチ)離間されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 約36kHzの周波数の超音波エネルギーを発生させるように構成された超音波増幅器をさらに具備していることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の超音波プローブ。
