Description
The present invention relates to a novel organosilane and a method for producing the same.
Generally, a reinforcing filler such as carbon black or silica is blended in the elastomer composition as a reinforcing agent. When the filling amount of the reinforcing filler is increased, problems such as poor dispersion in the elastomer are likely to occur. Therefore, various silane coupling agents having reactivity or interaction with both the elastomer and the inorganic filler are used.
For example, conventionally, as a silane coupling agent that reacts with a diene polymer, polysulfide silane, mercaptosilane, protected mercaptosilane formed by blocking a mercapto group with a carboxylic acid, and the like are used. These are all supposed to react under heat and basic conditions. On the other hand, organic silanes having a monosulfide bond (—C—S—C—) are relatively stable thermally, so that it is generally difficult to directly react with a diene polymer.
Patent Documents 1 to 3 disclose a method for producing a silanized cyclic core polysulfide compound or a silylated core polysulfide compound, and an elastomer composition using the same. However, the organic silanes disclosed therein have a plurality of polysulfide groups, and do not disclose organic silanes having a monosulfide bond.
On the other hand, Patent Document 4 discloses an etheralkoxy sulfur silane that releases ether alcohol during rubber compounding, and the silane transesterifies a polysulfide silane coupling agent or a mercaptosilane coupling agent with ether alcohol. It is prepared by. Patent Document 5 discloses a silane coupling agent obtained by blocking mercaptosilane with a compound having a vinyl ether group.

R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are each an alkyl group or alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and at least one is an alkoxy group. x is an integer of 2-4. m is an integer of 1 to 22, and n is an integer of 3 to 45. R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 , R 9 , R 10 , R 11 , R 12 , R 13 , R 14 and R 15 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.
Although the organosilane according to the present invention has a monosulfide bond, it can react or interact with a polymer such as a diene polymer, and can bind the polymer and an inorganic material such as an inorganic filler.
In the organic silane production method according to the present invention, the organic silane can be easily produced in a high yield by using the ene-thiol reaction between C═C and a mercapto group.
Hereinafter, matters related to the implementation of the present invention will be described in detail.
In these formulas (1) and (2), X 1 , X 2 and X 3 are each independently a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, preferably a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or ethyl. A group, more preferably a hydrogen atom or a methyl group. In one embodiment, X 2 is preferably a hydrogen atom from the viewpoint of controlling the order of reactions in the ene-thiol reaction described below.
In the formulas (6a), (7a) and (8a), R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 , R 9 , R 10 , R 11 , R 12 , R 13 , R 14 and R 15 are Each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group. Therefore, the benzimidazole group, the benzothiazole group and the imidazole group represented by the above formula may or may not have a methyl group as a substituent. Preferably, in formula (6a), R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are all hydrogen atoms, or any one is a methyl group and the other is a hydrogen atom. In the formula (7a), R 9 , R 10 , R 11 and R 12 are preferably all hydrogen atoms, or any one of them is a methyl group and the other is a hydrogen atom. In the formula (8a), R 13 , R 14 and R 15 are preferably all hydrogen atoms, or any one of them is a methyl group and the other is a hydrogen atom.
Both A 1 and A 2 may be —C x H 2x —SiR 1 R 2 R 3 , and when either one is —C x H 2x —SiR 1 R 2 R 3 , A 1 and It may be any of a 2. Incidentally, described later ene - in thiol-reactive, given that the direction of -S-A 1 than -S-A 2 tends to be generated, A 1 is a -C x H 2x -SiR 1 R 2 R 3 It is preferable because the binding site with the inorganic filler can be more reliably incorporated.
Said R 1, R 2 and R 3 are each an alkyl group or an alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, at least one is an alkoxy group. As the alkyl group, for example, a methyl group or an ethyl group is preferable. As the alkoxy group, for example, a methoxy group or an ethoxy group is preferable. Two or more of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are preferably alkoxy groups, and more preferably all three are alkoxy groups. That is, the alkoxysilyl group represented by -SiR 1 R 2 R 3 is preferably an alkyl dialkoxysilyl group or a trialkoxysilyl group, more preferably a triethoxysilyl group or a trimethoxysilyl group. An alkoxysilyl group.
Said x is an integer of 2-4. Accordingly, —C x H 2x — represents an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms (alkanediyl group), and specific examples include an ethylene group, a propylene group, and a butylene group, which are linear or branched. It may be a shape.
In formulas (1) and (2), —SA 2 is bonded to the carbon atom at the 3rd or 4th position of the cyclohexyl group, and is a mixture of those bonded at the 3rd position and those bonded at the 4th position. Also good. That is, the organosilane according to the embodiment may be bonded to the 3rd position in the formula (1), may be bonded to the 4th position, or may be a mixture of both. In the formula (2), it may be bonded at the 3-position, may be bonded at the 4-position, may be a mixture of the two, or these formulas (1) and The mixture which consists of 2 or more types of combinations of the compound of (2) may be sufficient.
In the formulas (1-1) and (2-1), X 11 is an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and X 2 , X 3 , A 1 and A 2 are the above formulas (1) and (2), respectively. The same as X 2 , X 3 , A 1 and A 2 in them.
In the formulas (1-2), (1-3), (2-2) and (2-3), X 2 , X 3 , A 1 and A 2 are respectively in the above formulas (1) and (2). The same as X 2 , X 3 , A 1 and A 2 .
In the formulas (3) to (8), X 1 , X 2 , X 3 , R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 , R 9 , R 10 , R 11 , R 12 , R 13 , R 14 , R 15 and x are X 1 , X 2 , X 3 , R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R in the above formulas (1) and (2), respectively. 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 , R 9 , R 10 , R 11 , R 12 , R 13 , R 14 , R 15 and x are the same. M is an integer of 1 to 22, and n is an integer of 3 to 45.
The compound represented by the formula (3) is a compound having two carbon-carbon double bonds, and the compounds represented by the formulas (4) to (8) are compounds having a mercapto group. In this reaction, the mercapto groups of the compounds of formulas (4) to (8) are bonded to the two carbon-carbon double bonds of the compound of formula (3) by an ene-thiol reaction. By using the ene-thiol reaction in this way, the organosilane of the embodiment can be produced simply and with high yield. Note that whether the compound of the above formula (1) or the compound of the formula (2) is generated depends on the types of X 2 and X 3 in the formula (3), and the compound of the formula (1) and the formula ( Either one of the compounds of 2) or a mixture of both is produced.
In this embodiment, in order to produce an organosilane having an alkoxysilyl group, a compound represented by formula (4) is used alone as a compound having a mercapto group, or together with a compound represented by formula (4) At least one compound represented by formulas (5) to (8) is used. When the compound of the formula (4) is used alone, the compound of the formula (4) is reacted with the compound of the formula (3) in a double molar amount, so that the two carbon-carbon compounds of the formula (3) An ene-thiol reaction occurs with respect to the heavy bond, and both A 1 and A 2 become —C x H 2x —SiR 1 R 2 R 3 .
On the other hand, when at least one of the compounds of the formulas (5) to (8) is used together with the compound of the formula (4), one of the A 1 and A 2 is —C x H 2x —SiR 1 R 2 R 3 . The other is a saturated or unsaturated alkyl group having 1 to 22 carbon atoms, a benzimidazole group, a benzothiazole group or an imidazole group. In this case, the compound of the formula (4) may be reacted first with the compound of the formula (3), and then the compounds of the formulas (5) to (8) may be reacted with the obtained compound. The compounds of the formulas (5) to (8) may be reacted first, and then the compound of the formula (4) may be reacted with the obtained compound. According to one embodiment, after reacting the compound of formula (3) and the compound of formula (4) in equimolar amounts, the resulting compound is equimolar with any of the compounds of formulas (5) to (8). You may make it react. In the compound of formula (3), the substituent —CX 3 ═CHX 2 is more reactive with respect to the ene-thiol reaction than the carbon-carbon double bond in the cyclic part of cyclohexene. The organosilane according to this embodiment can be used as a silane coupling agent that binds an inorganic material and an organic material. That is, the silane coupling agent according to the embodiment includes an organosilane represented by the above formula (1) and / or (2).
The organosilane according to the above embodiment has a monosulfide bond (—C—S—C—) in the molecule, and this part is cleaved by heat to react with a polymer such as a diene polymer, or It is considered that the polymer interacts with at least a monosulfide bond. The organosilane has an alkoxysilyl group in the molecule, and this part can react with an inorganic filler (inorganic material) such as silica. Therefore, since the polymer and the inorganic filler can be bonded (crosslinked), the dispersibility of the inorganic filler can be improved and the characteristics of the polymer composition can be improved by using it as a silane coupling agent in various polymer compositions. Can do. Moreover, since it has a monosulfide bond, it is difficult to generate scorch, particularly when used in an elastomer composition, and the scorch resistance can be improved. These can be used alone or in combination of two or more. The diene rubber may be one in which the main chain or the terminal is modified, for example, the main chain or terminal of NR, IR, BR, SBR is an alkoxy group, a carbonyl group, a hydroxyl group, an amino group. It may be modified with at least one functional group such as a group and an epoxy group.
The elastomer composition is blended with an inorganic filler such as silica together with the elastomer component. About each obtained elastomer composition, while scorching-proof performance was evaluated, it vulcanized | cured at 160 degreeC x 20 minutes, the test piece of a predetermined shape was produced, and the heat-generating characteristic was evaluated. Each evaluation method is as follows.
-Scorch-resistant performance: In accordance with JIS K6300, using a rotorless Mooney measuring machine manufactured by Toyo Seiki Co., Ltd., preheating the unvulcanized composition at 125 ° C for 1 minute, and then increasing the Mooney unit by 5 Mooney units from the minimum viscosity Vm The required time t5 was measured and indicated as an index with the value of Comparative Test Example 3 being 100. A larger index means longer scorch time and better scorch resistance.
Heat generation characteristics: Using a viscoelasticity tester manufactured by Toyo Seiki Co., Ltd., a loss factor tan δ was measured under conditions of an initial strain of 10%, a dynamic strain of 1%, a frequency of 10 Hz, and a temperature of 60 ° C. It was shown as an index with the value of 100 as 100. The smaller the index is, the smaller the value of tan δ is, and the more difficult it is to generate heat. Therefore, the improvement in filler dispersibility means superior heat generation characteristics.
The results are as shown in Table 1. As shown in Test Examples 1 to 7, when the organic silane according to the example was blended as a silane coupling agent, compared to Comparative Test Examples 2 to 4 blended with polysulfide silane, compared with the same blending amount, heat was generated. The characteristics were improved and the scorch resistance was good.
The organosilane according to the present invention can be used as, for example, a silane coupling agent that binds an inorganic material and an organic material.
