Description
上述の実施形態では、ホルダ5の第2の側端面52に脚部5Aを形成したが、両端支持梁構造によってホルダ5を支持することができれば、他の位置に脚部を形成してもよい。図5は、本変形例の脚部を説明するための断面図であり、図2に対応している。Z軸方向におけるホルダ5の側端面には、脚部5Bが形成されている。Z軸方向におけるモジュールケース2の内面には、フランジ部2Bが形成されている。脚部5B及びフランジ部2Bを締結部材で連結することによって、電池モジュール100は両端支持梁構造によって支持される。本変形例の構成によれば、上記実施形態と同様の効果を得ることができる。
図6を参照しながら、脆弱部の変形例について説明する。図6は、本変形例に係る電池モジュールの断面図であり、図2に対応している。ホルダ5には、X軸方向に貫通する複数の貫通穴59が形成されており、これらの貫通穴59は隣接する電池グループの境界に沿って形成されている。本変形例の構成によれば、電池グループの境界に沿って剛性の低い脆弱部が形成されるため、車両衝突時にホルダ5を隣接する電池グループの境界に沿って破断させることができる。また、別の変形例として、ホルダ5のY−Z面を含む端面に、隣接する電池グループの境界に沿った溝部を形成することで、脆弱部とすることもできる。

Claims (4)
- 車両に搭載される電池モジュールであって、
第1の方向に延びるとともに、両端部に電極端子を備えた単電池を複数有し、各前記単電池の正極端子が前記第1の方向に対して直交する同一平面内に配置される複数の電池グループからなる電池群であって、前記第1の方向に対して直交する第2の方向において隣り合う第1及び第2の電池グループを有する電池群と、
前記第1の電池グループに含まれる複数の単電池における電極端子を互いに並列接続する一対の第1のバスバーと、
前記第2の電池グループに含まれる複数の単電池における電極端子を互いに並列接続する一対の第2のバスバーと、
前記電池群に含まれる各前記単電池がそれぞれ挿入される開口部を備え、前記第1及び第2の方向に対して直交する第3の方向から衝突する衝突物の衝突荷重を受ける第1の側端面と、前記第1の側端面の反対側に形成される第2の側端面とを有する板状のホルダと、を有し、
前記第2の方向における前記ホルダの両端部を支持部で支持することによって、前記第3の方向における前記第2の側端面と隣り合う位置にスペースを形成するとともに、
衝突荷重を受けた際に前記第1及び前記第2の電池グループの境界に沿って前記ホルダを破断させるための脆弱部を有することを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 前記脆弱部は、前記第1の側端面における前記第1及び第2の電池グループの境界に対応した位置に形成される第1の溝部と、前記第2の側端面における前記第1及び第2の電池グループの境界に対応した位置に形成される第2の溝部と、を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記第1の溝部は、前記第3の方向に対して傾斜する第1の傾斜面を有し、前記第1の傾斜面は、前記第1の電池グループに含まれる複数の単電池のうち最も前記第1の溝部に近接した位置に配置される単電池と、前記第2の電池グループに含まれる複数の単電池のうち最も前記第1の溝部に近接した位置に配置される単電池との前記第2の方向における中間位置を通って前記第3の方向に延びる中間線に向かって延びており、
前記第2の溝部は、前記第3の方向に対して傾斜する第2の傾斜面を有し、前記第2の傾斜面は、前記第1の電池グループに含まれる複数の単電池のうち最も前記第2の溝部に近接した位置に配置される単電池と、前記第2の電池グループに含まれる複数の単電池のうち最も前記第2の溝部に近接した位置に配置される単電池との前記第2の方向における中間位置を通って前記第3の方向に延びる中間線に向かって延びていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電池モジュール。 - 前記第1の電池グループは前記第2の方向に複数の単電池を並べた小電池グループを前記第3の方向に並べて構成されており、
前記第2の電池グループは前記第2の方向に複数の単電池を並べた小電池グループを前記第3の方向に並べて構成されており、
前記第1の側端面には、前記衝突荷重が作用する方向とは反対方向に凸となる複数の曲面が形成されており、前記各曲面の頂点を通って前記第3の方向に延びる線上に、前記第1及び前記第2の電池グループのうち最も前記第1の側端面に近接した位置に配置される小電池グループに含まれる各単電池の前記第1の方向視における電池中心が位置することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のうちいずれか一つに記載の電池モジュール。
