Claims (5)
- 対向配置された第1基板及び第2基板と、
前記第1基板の一面側に設けられた第1電極と、
前記第2基板の一面側に設けられた第2電極と、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板の間に設けられた液晶層と、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板の間に設けられた複数の柱状スペーサーと、
を備え、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板の重なる有効表示領域は、前記第1電極と前記第2電極がいずれも配置された表示部、前記第1電極と前記第2電極のいずれかのみ配置された引き回し線部、及び前記第1電極と前記第2電極のいずれも配置されない非表示部を含み、
前記複数の柱状スペーサーの平面視での単位面積当たりのスペーサー配置面積は、前記表示部におけるスペーサー配置面積よりも前記引き回し線部におけるスペーサー配置面積が相対的に小さく、前記引き回し線部におけるスペーサー配置面積よりも前記非表示部におけるスペーサー配置面積が相対的に小さい、
液晶表示装置。 - 前記表示部は、前記第1電極と前記第2電極の重なる部分が文字、数字又は図案を構成する、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記有効表示領域の面積に対する前記表示部の面積の比率が0%より大きく50%以下である、請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記複数の柱状スペーサーの各々の平面視における形状が正方形状、長方形状、円形状又は菱形状である、請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記複数の柱状スペーサーの密度を変えることによって前記表示部、前記引き回し線部及び前記非表示部の相互間におけるスペーサー配置面積の差を生じさせる、請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
