Description
また、1次側コイル及び配線を、複数本の導電性ワイヤで形成することによって、交流電力を用いる場合に生じ得る表皮効果によるエネルギ損失を抑制することができる。この場合、1次側コイル及び配線において複数本の導電性ワイヤのうち一部が断線する部分断線が発生したり、1次側コイルの変形が発生したりする場合がある。特に、1次側コイルと2次側コイルとの距離が変動すると、当該変動に伴って伝送効率が低下し、交流電力が1次側コイル及び配線において熱に変換される。この熱は、上記のような部分断線等の原因となり易い。
これに対して、本発明によれば、異常か否かの判定基準として、出力電圧と出力電流との比率及び出力電圧と出力電流との位相差の双方を採用することにより、部分断線に基づく抵抗変化、及び、1次側コイルの変形に基づくインダクタンスの変化を検知することができる。よって、部分断線や1次側コイルの変形といった異常を好適に検知することができるとともに、その異常原因の絞り込みができる。
ここで、車両用バッテリは携帯電話のバッテリと比較して、大きな容量が求められる。このため、車両用バッテリを充電するための非接触給電システムに用いられる車両用の非接触給電装置においては、比較的大きな電力を扱うことが想定される。また、車両の駐車位置に応じて、車両と車両用の非接触給電装置との相対位置が変動するため、1次側コイルと2次側コイルとの距離が変動し易い。このため、1次側コイル及び配線等において、エネルギ損失に伴う熱が発生し易い。さらに、車両用の非接触給電装置の1次側コイルや配線においては、人や、それよりも重い車両が乗ることが想定される。このため、1次側コイル及び配線には、比較的大きな荷重が掛かり易い。以上のことから、車両用の非接触給電装置においては、部分断線や1次側コイルの変形の異常が発生する場合がある。
これに対して、本発明によれば、車両用の非接触給電装置において部分断線や1次側コイルの変形の異常を、早期の段階で検知することができる。よって、その車両用の非接触給電装置を用いて車両用バッテリを充電することを通じて、好適に異常を検知することができる車両用の非接触給電システムを提供することができる。
図1に示すように、非接触で電力伝送(充電)を行う非接触給電システムSは、地上に設けられた非接触給電装置10と車両に搭載された車載側機器20とで構成されている。
非接触給電装置10は検知ユニット16を備えている。検知ユニット16は、電源主回路12から出力される出力電圧(送電回路13に付与される電圧)、電源主回路12から出力される出力電流(送電回路13を流れる電流)、及びこれら出力電圧と出力電流との位相差を検知する。そして、検知ユニット16は、その検知結果を電源側コントローラ15に対して出力する。
電源側コントローラ15は、上記検知結果に基づいて、異常が発生しているか否かを判定する。詳細には、電源側コントローラ15は、出力電圧に対する出力電流の比率を算出し、算出された比率が、「0」ではなく、且つ、予め定められた閾値よりも小さいか否かを判定する。この閾値は、送電回路13及び配線14に異常がなく(初期状態)、且つ送電回路13の周囲に当該送電回路13と磁気的に結合するもの(例えば金属)が存在しない状態で異常判定用の高周波電力を出力した場合の出力電圧に対する出力電流の比率よりも、予め定められた分だけ低い比率である。つまり、閾値は、正常動作とみなす範囲の下限値である。
1次側コイル13a又は配線14等に部分断線が発生した場合、その部分断線の箇所の抵抗が大きくなることが想定される。また、1次側コイル13aが変形した場合、その変形形態によっては1次側コイル13aの抵抗が大きくなる場合がある。このため、上記部分断線や1次側コイル13aの変形が発生した場合には、高周波電源11から見た抵抗(負荷)が大きくなり易い。抵抗が大きくなると、出力電圧に対する出力電流の比率が小さくなる。このため、上記比率と閾値との比較判定は、1次側コイル13a若しくは配線14等に部分断線が発生しているか否か、又は1次側コイル13aが変形しているか否かの異常判定を意味する。
(1)電源主回路12と送電回路13とを配線14を介して電気的に接続した構成において、電源主回路12から出力される出力電圧、電源主回路12から出力される出力電流、及びこれら出力電圧と出力電流との位相差を検知する検知ユニット16を設けた。そして、検知ユニット16の検知結果に基づいて、送電回路13及び配線14の少なくとも一方に異常が発生しているか否かの異常判定を行う構成とした。これにより、送電回路13及び配線14における抵抗やインダクタンスの変化を、出力電圧と出力電流との比率、又は出力電圧と出力電流との位相差として検知することができる。そして、その検知結果に基づいて異常判定を行うことにより、1次側コイル13aの変形といった送電回路13の異常や、配線14の異常といった非接触給電装置10の異常を好適に検知することができる。特に、出力電圧、出力電流、及び位相差を検知する検知ユニット16は、インピーダンスを検知するものよりも簡素である。よって、比較的簡素な構成で、非接触給電装置10の異常を好適に検知することができる。
なお、上記実施形態は以下のように変更してもよい。
○ 実施形態では、電源主回路12と送電回路13とを配線14を用いて接続したが、これに限られず、例えば配線14を用いて電源主回路12と結合用コイルとを接続し、その結合用コイルと送電回路13とを、電磁誘導で結合する構成としてもよい。この場合、異常判定を行うことによって、配線14、結合用コイル又は送電回路13の異常を検知することができる。なお、上記構成では、結合用コイル及び送電回路13が送電部に対応する。
Claims (5)
- 交流電力を出力可能な交流電力出力部と、
1次側コイルを有する送電部と、
前記交流電力出力部と前記送電部とを電気的に接続する配線と、
を備え、
前記1次側コイルに対して前記交流電力を出力することによって2次側コイルに対して非接触で電力を伝送することが可能な非接触給電装置において、
前記交流電力出力部から出力される出力電圧と出力電流との比率、及び前記出力電圧と前記出力電流との位相差を検知する検知手段と、
前記検知手段により検知された前記比率及び前記位相差に基づいて、異常が発生しているか否かの判定を行う判定手段と、
を備え、
前記1次側コイル及び前記配線は、複数本の導電性ワイヤを束ねたもので構成されており、
前記判定手段は、前記検知手段により検知された前記比率及び前記位相差に基づいて、前記1次側コイル及び前記配線の少なくとも一方に部分断線が発生しているか否かの判定、及び、前記1次側コイルが変形しているか否かの判定を行うことを特徴とする非接触給電装置。 - 前記判定手段は、前記出力電圧に対する前記出力電流の比率が0ではなく且つ予め定められた閾値よりも低い場合であって、更に前記位相差が予め定められた特定範囲内にある場合に、前記1次側コイル及び前記配線の少なくとも一方に部分断線が発生していると判定する請求項1に記載の非接触給電装置。
- 前記判定手段は、前記出力電圧に対する前記出力電流の比率が0ではなく且つ予め定められた閾値よりも高い場合であって、更に前記位相差が予め定められた特定範囲から外れた場合に、前記1次側コイルが変形していると判定する請求項1に記載の非接触給電装置。
- 前記2次側コイルが前記1次側コイルの給電可能な位置に配置されていない場合に異常判定用の交流電力が出力されるよう前記交流電力出力部を制御する制御手段を備え、
前記判定手段は、前記異常判定用の交流電力が出力された場合の前記検知手段の検知結果に基づいて、前記各判定を行う請求項1〜3のうちいずれか一項に記載の非接触給電装置。 - 請求項1〜4のうちいずれか一項に記載の非接触給電装置を用いて、車両に設けられた前記2次側コイルに対して前記交流電力を伝送するとともに、前記2次側コイルにて受電した交流電力を用いて、前記車両に設けられた車両用バッテリを充電することを特徴とする非接触給電システム。
