Description
本発明は、複合粒子の粉砕及び分散方法に関する。 The present invention relates to a method for pulverizing and dispersing composite particles.
In recent years, high antibacterial and antifungal properties have been demanded for clothing, daily necessities, and the like due to environmental considerations and health problems. For example, by creating composite particles such as a core-shell nanostructure with a structure in which a metal layer having high antibacterial and antifungal properties is coated on the surface of the core material, the surface area of the shell material can be efficiently increased. Ionization is possible, and various chemical reaction processes can be changed. As a result, the antibacterial activity of the material is improved. Further, miniaturization of composite particles has been promoted for the purpose of improving sensitivity and gas selectivity in a odor sensor made of a semiconductor, and further improving catalytic performance of a catalyst for gas decomposition and synthesis. What is required in order to improve the performance of a functional material that applies the reaction on the surface of these composite particles is to make the functional material have a large effective surface area while reducing the particle size of the composite particles.
Regarding antibacterial, metal particles such as silver, copper, zinc and nickel are known as materials exhibiting high antibacterial performance. Further, metals such as platinum and palladium are known as materials exhibiting high catalytic performance. And by making these functional materials nano-sized, the surface area per unit mass can be increased, and the functionality can be effectively expressed. However, when these functional materials are nano-sized, a very large cohesive force is generated and there is a tendency to form large aggregates. If it is left in the air, it will be in a sintered state, and even if it is mixed with water, once bonded particles will not easily loosen up, but will settle immediately and settle uniformly. It will not be a turbid liquid. Therefore, conventionally, composite particles carrying nano-sized antibacterial metals are formed and used using ceramic particles such as alumina, zirconia, and zeolite as a carrier (core material) (
In addition, as an application of the above suspension, when the suspension is coated on clothes, daily necessities, etc., the appearance of unevenness (spots) may occur due to the adhesion of granular tissues (aggregates) due to aggregation. However, in order to make the unevenness in appearance inconspicuous, it is necessary to appropriately reduce the particle size of the aggregates and improve the dispersibility in a solvent such as water. That is, in order to maintain a stable dispersion state of the particles, the particle size of the particles needs to be nano-sized (several hundred nm or less). However, when the composite particles containing metal are made into nano-sized fine powder as described above, the composite particles as a whole tend to aggregate due to the characteristics of this material, and there is a tendency to form larger aggregates.
さらに粉砕用媒体から発生するcontaminant(汚染物質:コンタミとも呼ばれる)が混入する不具合がある。
In general, as a method for atomizing particles, dispersion by mechanical vibration using ultrasonic vibration (ultrasonic dispersion method), wet mechanical contact grinding using grinding media such as bead mill method, and the same friction friction grinding method (machine Is known (in

Conventionally, in order to make a functional material having a large effective surface area while reducing the particle size of the composite particle, a nano-sized composite particle in which a functional material such as a metal is formed on the surface of the core material has a portion such as the metal. They tend to bond and tend to form large aggregates. Therefore, the surface area is reduced, and the desired antibacterial performance and catalytic performance of the composite particles are hardly exhibited. In addition, when the particle size of the aggregate increases to about several hundreds of nanometers, precipitation occurs in the solution, and when this suspension is coated, it looks as if granular dirt has adhered to it. It becomes very bad and not practical. In the present specification, in order to make the explanation easy to understand, hereinafter, the simple substance of the composite particle is defined as a primary particle, and an aggregate formed by aggregating these primary particles is defined as a secondary particle.
As the atomization means for atomizing the secondary particles, the above-described pulverization / dispersion method by ultrasonic vibration (ultrasonic dispersion method), wet mechanical contact pulverization using a bead mill method or the like, and simultaneous friction pulverization are used. A method (mechanical contact pulverization method) is conceivable. However, in the ultrasonic dispersion method, it is difficult to concentrate energy locally, and it cannot be used for pulverization / dispersion of secondary particles composed of nano-sized composite particles. In the contact-type pulverization method, a soft part formed on the surface of the composite particle is crushed and a metal component is dropped from the surface layer of the composite particle, or the composite particle is rubbed with each other to generate wear powder. Aggregates (secondary particles) are formed. Further, excessive temperature rise (heat generation) at the point contact point between the grinding medium and the composite particles (primary particles) further facilitates the aggregation of the primary particles and facilitates the formation of large secondary particles. As a result of many problems such as temperature degradation, nano-level atomization cannot be achieved. In general, the mechanical characteristics when a load is applied to a material containing metal or the like has a property that it is easy to plastically deform because of its stickiness, and as a result is difficult to pulverize. On the other hand, ceramics, contrary to materials containing metals, are hard and have high elastic modulus, but have no stickiness and have mechanical properties that are easy to break. This is the main factor in the conventional mechanical contact pulverization, in which pulverization of soft materials such as metals is difficult while pulverization of ceramics is relatively easy.
そこで本発明の目的は、単体では微粒化が困難である塑性変形し易い金属やその化合物を、水中での凝集を抑えて微粒子に粉砕するとともに均一に分散させる複合粒子の分散方法を提供することにある。 Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a method for dispersing composite particles in which a metal or a compound thereof, which is difficult to atomize by itself, is easily plastically deformed, and pulverized into fine particles while suppressing aggregation in water and uniformly dispersed. It is in.
The method for pulverizing and dispersing the composite particles of the present invention is a composite particle of fine powder containing a metal or a compound thereof that is easily plastically deformed and a material having a high elastic modulus such as ceramics, and the surface of the ceramic particles as a core is plastic. Particles having a structure in which metal particles that are easily deformed are supported, or a structure in which a metal material that is easily plastically deformed on the surface of the core material or a composite material that includes a metal that is easily plastically deformed is thinly coated in an island shape or a layer shape. The metal component concentration of the composite particles is set to 5 mol% or more and 25 mol% or less in a molar ratio with respect to the concentration of the composite particles, and is mixed with a dispersant and water to obtain a mixed solution, and the mixed solution is a high-pressure jet dispersion treatment apparatus The composite particles are atomized by high-pressure injection from a chamber nozzle at a predetermined pressure.
Here, the nano size in the present specification refers to a size having a particle size of several hundred nm or less, and particularly a size having a median particle size of 100 nm or less. In this specification, the median particle diameter is substituted with a value (MA) obtained by calculating the average particle diameter of the particles from the surface area of the particles. The composite particles include organic substances such as proteins and synthetic resins. The dispersing agent is a dispersing aid that modifies the interface between the composite particles and water by adding to water to lower the surface tension, and an appropriate amount is added to water. The mixed solution may contain a volatile solvent such as alcohol depending on the application.
According to the present invention, the mixed liquid is jetted at a high pressure to loosen and agglomerate the aggregates composed of the composite particles, and the interface between the atomized particles and water is modified by the action of the dispersant. It is characterized by preventing aggregation. That is, the present invention provides a mixture of the secondary particles, a dispersant, and water by high-pressure jetting at a predetermined pressure from a chamber nozzle of a high-pressure jet dispersion processing apparatus to loosen the secondary particles and atomize them. Further, by refining the atomized secondary particles and the interface between the primary particles and water by the action of a dispersing agent, re-aggregation is prevented, and monodispersed while atomizing.
According to the present invention, the cavitation is generated by the pressure difference between the high-pressure jetted water and the surroundings, so that the binding of the secondary particles can be performed by the action of energy much larger than the cavitation by the conventional ultrasonic vibrator. Can be crushed or loosened. On the other hand, since the present invention is soft atomization via water, there is no direct physical contact with hard beads as in the contact-type grinding method, and the primary particle structure itself can be destroyed. Absent. In addition, since the treatment of the present invention is performed in water, the entire atomization mechanism can be cooled by water, there is no significant heat generation in the atomization treatment portion, and thermal degradation of the dispersant is prevented, and the nanosize composite particles are unique. The re-aggregation effect due to the lowering of the melting point of the metal material, which is a property of the above, can be prevented and stable nano-sized atomization can be achieved.
Examples of the chamber of the high-pressure jet dispersion processing apparatus include a single nozzle chamber, an oblique collision chamber, and a ball collision chamber. Each chamber has sufficient energy necessary for pulverizing the secondary particles. Among these, a single nozzle chamber is preferable. This is because the single nozzle chamber uses only the action of water cavitation and water turbulence because of its structure, and uses a relatively small pulverization energy, so there is no re-coagulation effect due to strong collision.
本発明は、前記高圧噴射分散処理装置のチャンバーノズルをシングルノズルとして、前記複合粒子の微粒化後のメジアン粒径が初期値の50%以下、及び、前記複合粒子の微粒化後のメジアン粒径が100nm以下となるよう前記シングルノズルからの圧力を30から245MPaの間で調整し、尚且つ、前記シングルノズルから前記混合液を所定の圧力で高圧噴射する作業を複数回繰り返すことを特徴とする。 The present invention is a chamber nozzle of the high-pressure injection distributed processing apparatus as a single nozzle, the 50% of the median particle size is the initial value after atomization of the composite particles less, and a median particle size after atomization of the composite particles The pressure from the single nozzle is adjusted between 30 and 245 MPa so that the pressure is 100 nm or less, and the operation of high-pressure injection of the mixed liquid at a predetermined pressure from the single nozzle is repeated a plurality of times. .
According to the present invention, even in a soft metal such as silver, the median particle size of the secondary particles can be in the range of 10 to 100 nm, so that the transparency of the suspension is maintained and looks good, The surface area of the composite particles can be greatly increased. The pulverization energy for atomization of the secondary particles is controlled by changing the pressure from the chamber nozzle in the range of 30 to 245 MPa, and is therefore applied to the miniaturization of composite particles having a soft material on the surface. For example, in the case of composite particles whose pulverization energy is too large and whose structure is broken or reaggregated, the processing is performed by adjusting the pressure from the high-pressure jet pulverization apparatus between 30 and 245 MPa, The operation of high-pressure injection of the mixed liquid at a predetermined pressure from the chamber nozzle of the high-pressure injection pulverization apparatus is repeated a plurality of times until the median particle size of the secondary particles is in the range of 10 to 100 nm. As the number of repetitions of the operation of high-pressure spraying the mixed liquid at a predetermined pressure from the chamber nozzle of the high-pressure spray pulverization apparatus increases, the variation in the particle size of the secondary particles decreases, and a monodispersed suspension Approaches the state of.
In the present invention, the mixed liquid is pretreated by applying an ultrasonic disperser so that the median particle diameter of the secondary particles is in a range of 1,000 to 3,000 nm, and then the secondary pressure is applied by the high pressure jet dispersion treatment apparatus. It is preferable to atomize the particles. According to the present invention, the high-pressure jet dispersion is performed by subjecting the mixed liquid to an ultrasonic disperser and performing a pretreatment to make the median particle size of the secondary particles smaller than the inner diameter of the chamber nozzle of the high-pressure jet dispersion treatment apparatus. High-pressure injection of the mixed liquid from the processing device is processed more smoothly without clogging.
The present invention has a structure in which the composite particles carry metal particles on the surface of ceramic particles as a core, or the surface of the core material is coated with a metal material or a metal-containing composite material as an outer layer in a thin island shape or a layer shape It is preferably applied to the pulverization and dispersion of particles. The core material is preferably a pulverizable ceramic, and the metal film or metal particles or metal component preferably contains any of silver, copper, zinc, nickel, platinum, or palladium. In the present invention, ceramic particles such as zirconia, alumina, titania, and silica are used as the core material. According to the present invention, by setting the elastic modulus of the core material to be higher than the elastic modulus of the metal or metal-containing composite material supported on the surface of the core material, the pulverization effect of the composite particles is enhanced, and as a result, Nano-level atomization is possible. By using composite particles having the above structure, composite particles having a functional material having a large effective surface area can be formed. Silver, copper, zinc and nickel used as the metal particles or metal material have excellent antibacterial performance. Moreover, platinum and palladium are very expensive noble metals although they have excellent catalytic performance. According to the present invention, it is possible to increase the substantial surface area of the composite particles by atomizing the secondary particles, and to effectively exhibit antibacterial performance and catalytic performance while suppressing costs.
本発明は、前記複合粒子のうち塑性変形し易い金属またはその化合物の濃度を前記複合粒子の濃度に対するモル比で最大50mol%以下に設定し、好ましくは前記モル比で最大25mol%以下に設定することを特徴とする。 In the present invention, the concentration of the metal that is easily plastically deformed among the composite particles or a compound thereof is set to a maximum of 50 mol% or less, and preferably set to a maximum of 25 mol% or less, based on the concentration of the composite particles. It is characterized by that.
前記複合粒子全体に対する金属の濃度が高まると、前記複合粒子の表面における前記金属の比表面積が増大し、前記複合粒子の表面における前記金属の凝集力が前記複合粒子の表面における前記コア材部分の反発力を上回り、分散の効果が小さくなる。本発明での、より好ましい前記金属の前記複合粒子に対する濃度はモル比で最大25mol%以下であり、これは、前記コア材部分の静電反発が前記金属の凝集力を完全に上回ることができるからである。 When the concentration of the metal with respect to the entire composite particle is increased, the specific surface area of the metal on the surface of the composite particle is increased, and the cohesive force of the metal on the surface of the composite particle is increased in the core material portion on the surface of the composite particle. The repulsive force is exceeded and the effect of dispersion is reduced. In the present invention, the more preferable concentration of the metal with respect to the composite particles is a maximum of 25 mol% or less in terms of molar ratio. This is because the electrostatic repulsion of the core material portion can completely exceed the cohesive force of the metal. Because.
The present invention utilizes the electrostatic repulsive force of the core material while preventing re-aggregation by attaching a dispersant to the interface of the composite nanoparticles at the moment when the aggregated composite nanoparticles are pulverized or loosened. , Achieving nano-level pulverization and dispersion. According to the present invention, it is possible to atomize to the primary particle size without destroying the structure of the composite particles having a soft and elastic surface. The action of cavitation according to the present invention is significantly different from that by mechanical contact with other hard materials such as the bead mill method, and there is little friction between beads and composite particles and between composite particles, and between beads and beads and composites. There is no local heat generation due to kinetic energy due to collision or shearing with particles. Therefore, the structure of the composite particle having a soft surface is not destroyed. Further, the present invention is free from re-aggregation due to temperature because of its principle, and stable atomization is easy.
本発明によって、前記二次粒子のメジアン粒径が10から100nmの範囲とすることができ、表面積の拡大による抗菌性能や触媒性能の大幅な向上が図れた。また本発明によって得られた懸濁液は、その透明性が維持され、懸濁液をコーティング処理した対象物の見映えが良くなった。また、微粒化に適した粉砕エネルギーであるために、単分散化も可能になった。 According to the present invention, the median particle diameter of the secondary particles can be in the range of 10 to 100 nm, and the antibacterial performance and catalytic performance can be greatly improved by increasing the surface area. Moreover, the transparency of the suspension obtained by the present invention was maintained, and the appearance of the object coated with the suspension was improved. In addition, since the pulverization energy is suitable for atomization, monodispersion is also possible.

Atomization of Ceramic Particles FIG. 5 is a diagram showing a particle size distribution obtained by atomizing ceramics. By adjusting the apparatus conditions, the particle size distribution is approximately 30 in both the case of a wet mechanical contact pulverizer using a bead mill method and the case of a high-pressure jet pulverization apparatus using a single nozzle chamber. To 100 nm. On the other hand, in the bead mill method, it has been found that the particle size distribution shows a large distribution from about 40 to about 300 nm due to collision with the point-contacting beads and unevenness in shearing. When the value (MA) obtained from the particle surface area was the median particle size, MA was 60 nm and 80 nm by the respective methods. It was shown that the high-pressure jet pulverization treatment method can produce particles in a state close to monodispersion without pulverization leakage because the cavitation energy spreads throughout the aggregated particles.

Atomization of composite particles by a known bead mill method An attempt was made to atomize the huge secondary particles formed by agglomerating a large number of the composite particles by a known bead mill method. The atomization conditions were the same as those for the ceramic particles. A lot of silver metal was adhered to the beads after the treatment. FIG. 9 is a diagram showing the particle size distribution of the secondary particles when the secondary particles of the composite particles are attempted to be atomized by a known bead mill method. The distribution of the particles of the mixed solution processed by the bead mill method was distributed in a very wide range from 35 nm to 2,000 nm, and a large distribution peak was observed at 2,000 nm. This is because the structure of the composite particles collapses due to the beads, and the peeled silver aggregates. In other words, it became clear that it is impossible in principle to atomize composite particles having such a structure by the bead mill method.
Example 1
FIG. 10 is a manufacturing process flow chart showing a procedure for manufacturing a suspension in which composite particles according to an embodiment to which the present invention is applied is dispersed. The manufacturing procedure of the present invention shown in FIG. 10A includes a mixing and stirring process (step S1), an ultrasonic dispersion process (step S2), and a high-pressure jet pulverization process (step S3). In FIG. 10B, the ultrasonic dispersion process (step S2) is omitted from the manufacturing procedure shown in FIG. Based on FIG. 10 (a), the manufacturing procedure of the suspension in which the composite particles according to this example are dispersed will be described below.
Zirconia ceramics was used as the
The
The
When the
本発明に係る高圧噴射粉砕処理装置100による高圧噴射粉砕処理時間は100cc/分であり、高圧噴射を合計5回行った場合の高圧噴射粉砕処理時間は単純計算でおよそ100cc/5分となり、従来のビーズミル法の1/10以下の処理時間であった。また本発明の製造方法では、また、キャビテーションを利用した作用で粒子を引き離す方式のために構造に与える損傷も少なく、処理温度も最高で約70℃と大きな発熱もなかった。
The high-pressure injection pulverization processing time by the high-pressure injection
本発明の製造方法によって得られた懸濁液20をガラス容器に入れて、約1年間放置したが、粒子の沈降は見られず、透明な状態が維持されていることを確認した。また、粒子径の測定も行ったが同じ粒度分布を示し、この処理の安定性と有効性が示された。これは、処理温度の上昇が少ないことにより、分散剤の劣化が抑制されていることを示している。
The
In the above embodiment, the

According to Table 1, in the core-shell nanostructure in which
次に、セラミックス粒子2と銅水酸化物3を混合した混合物を複合粒子1とした場合では、金属の濃度が50mol%以下で二次粒子1aのメジアン粒径が100nm未満となった。また、銅水酸化物のみならず、銅酸化物、炭酸銅においても二次粒子1aのメジアン粒径が小さくなることが確認された(第1表)。
Next, when the mixture obtained by mixing the

According to Table 2, in the core-shell nanostructure in which
Discussion FIG. 14 is a diagram schematically showing the atomization effect by a known bead mill method, where (a) illustrates the case of ceramic particles, and (b) illustrates the case of composite particles. In the bead mill method, pulverization and atomization are performed by mechanical contact with the beads. Therefore, in the case of ceramics with low toughness (low viscosity), ceramics are easily broken and suitable for atomization treatment (FIG. 13 (a )). However, in the case of composite particles with a structure in which ceramic is used as a core material and a material such as soft metal on the surface, the soft metal or other material in contact with the beads absorbs energy and pulverizes due to plastic deformation. It extends, adheres to the beads, or is peeled off in the solution, and the particles are largely aggregated and cannot be pulverized or atomized (FIG. 13B).
FIG. 15 is a diagram schematically showing the atomization effect according to the embodiment to which the present invention is applied. In the method using the high-pressure jet dispersion processing apparatus, the energy of turbulent flow and cavitation acts on the entire particles, and thus efficient and uniform pulverization becomes possible. In other words, in the present invention, at the moment when the aggregated composite nanoparticles are temporarily loosened, by using the electrostatic repulsive force of the core material while preventing reaggregation by attaching a dispersant to the interface of the composite nanoparticles, Nano-level grinding and dispersion can be achieved. At the same time, the pulverization and dispersion at the nano level can be achieved because the hard ceramics having a high elastic modulus can effectively pulverize the composite particles.
As described above, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above. The pressure from the chamber nozzle of the high-pressure jet dispersion treatment device is adjusted between 30 and 245 MPa so that the median particle size of the secondary particles is in the range of 10 to 100 nm, and the median particle size of the secondary particles is from 10 Suspensions in which a variety of composite particles are dispersed by adjusting the number of times the operation of high-pressure injection of the mixed liquid at a predetermined pressure from the chamber nozzle of the high-pressure injection dispersion treatment device is repeated a plurality of times until the range is 100 nm. A liquid can be produced. The production method of the present invention is applied to all suspensions in which composite particles are dispersed, and can be applied over a wide range such as antibacterial agents, odor sensor materials, and fuel cell electrode materials. Thus, it goes without saying that the present invention can be modified as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
