Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing acrylonitrile by reacting a hydrocarbon such as propylene with ammonia and oxygen, and relates to a method for producing acrylonitrile in which quality deterioration is prevented.
Acrylonitrile is industrially produced by ammoxidation of hydrocarbons such as propylene. In this production method, a hydrocarbon such as propylene is reacted with ammonia and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst, but it is known that acetonitrile, hydrogen cyanide, acrolein, and other trace impurities are by-produced as by-products. .
As a method for separating acrylonitrile, which is the main product from the above reaction, and acetonitrile, impurities, and high boiling substances in the by-product, a method using a distillation column (hereinafter referred to as an acrylonitrile recovery column) is used. Although used, acrolein, which is another impurity, comes out from the top of the acrylonitrile recovery tower together with acrylonitrile at the time of this separation, so that the quality of the product acrylonitrile tends to deteriorate (Patent Document 1).
As a method of removing this acrolein, as described in Patent Document 1, a method of removing an acrolein derivative by adding an acid or an acid catalyst to a process fluid is known. A method of removing acrolein by bringing a weakly basic ion exchange resin into contact with a process fluid containing acrylonitrile is also known.
However, the above-described acrolein removal methods are not sufficient as realistic operating conditions because the operation for separating the additives becomes complicated and an extra step is required.
Therefore, the present invention eliminates steps such as separation of additives and switching to an ion exchange resin process to increase operating efficiency, and effectively separates acrolein in an acrylonitrile recovery tower, so that the product acrylonitrile can be separated. It aims at providing the method of suppressing quality deterioration.
The present invention relates to a process for producing acrylonitrile by reacting a hydrocarbon with ammonia and oxygen, wherein the reaction selectivity of acrolein as a by-product generated in the reaction is 2.5% or less, and the distillation separation step of the reaction The pH of the solution is adjusted to 5 to 7, and the acrolein is separated at a high boiling point under the condition that the reaction selectivity of the acrolein and the pH satisfy the condition of the following formula (1). It is characterized by things.
Acrolein reaction selectivity (%) ≦ 8.90 × 10 −8 × e 2.62 × [pH] (1)
By satisfying the above-mentioned requirement (1) within a predetermined reaction selectivity of acrolein and pH, it is possible to suppress white turbidity of the obtained product acrylonitrile and obtain a product acrylonitrile of higher purity.
The method for producing acrylonitrile according to the present invention is a method in which a hydrocarbon is reacted with ammonia and oxygen. Specifically, a method performed according to the flowchart shown in FIG. 1 can be given as an example.
First, hydrocarbon A, ammonia B, and oxygen-containing gas C are introduced into the

As the ammoxidation catalyst, for example, a well-known composite metal oxide catalyst containing an element such as phosphorus, molybdenum, iron, antimony or the like can be used.
The ammoxidation reaction gas D generated in the
The separation gas G from which unreacted ammonia has been removed is sent to the
The bottoms I extracted from the bottom of the
As a specific example, the
On the other hand, a part of the liquid directed to the bottom of the

The tower top liquid K is sent to the
By the way, the bottoms I supplied to the
As a method for preventing this, the reaction selectivity of acrolein, which is a by-product generated in the ammoxidation reaction in the
As a method for setting the reaction selectivity of the acrolein to 2.5% or less and satisfying the condition of the above formula (1), the ammonia molar ratio to the hydrocarbon such as propylene in the raw material is increased to increase the selectivity of the acrolein. An example is a method of adjusting the pH so as to satisfy the above formula (1) after being adjusted to 2.5% or less.
As a method for adjusting the pH, a method of adding a pH adjusting agent to the bottoms I supplied to the

By the way, the above formula (1) is shown by an exponential function of pH. This is based on the following contents. That is, acrolein reacts with hydrocyanic acid (HCN) in the

[Formula 1]
Note that k 1 , k 2 , k 3 , k 4 , k 5 , and k 6 represent reaction rate constants.
When production reaction of acrolein to cyanohydrin is balanced, CN - and the concentration of acrolein are shown as follows.
[Formula 2]
[Formula 3]
However, [HCN] 0 indicates the HCN concentration at the start of the cyanohydrin generation reaction, and [ACL] 0 indicates the acrolein concentration at the start of the cyanohydrin generation reaction.
Further, when equation (2) is substituted into equation (3), the acrolein equilibrium concentration is as follows.
[Formula 4]
From the above formula (2), it can be seen that if the H + concentration is low, the CN − concentration is high, so that the cyanohydrin formation reaction is accelerated and the acrolein equilibrium concentration decreases. Further, it can be seen from the equation (3) that when [H + ] is constant, if [ACL] 0 is lowered, the acrolein equilibrium concentration is also lowered. That is, when the pH is lowered, [ACL] 0 that satisfies the relationship of (acrolein equilibrium concentration) = (acrolein limit concentration in the product so that the product acrylonitrile does not become cloudy) becomes low.
Since [H + ] = 10 −pH , from formula (2)
[Formula 5]
CN - concentration is expressed as an exponential function of pH, and from equation (3),
なお、u(epH)、g(epH)、f(epH)は、epHの関数を示す。
[Formula 6]
Note that u (e pH ), g (e pH ), and f (e pH ) represent a function of e pH .
[ACL] 0 when satisfying the relationship of (acrolein equilibrium concentration) = (acrolein limit concentration in product for which product acrylonitrile does not become cloudy) can be expressed by the correlation between pH and exponential function. If the acrolein yield at the outlet of the
Based on this theory, a model was constructed, and the acrolein yield at the outlet of the

The selectivity of the ACL produced by the reaction and the boundary line where the acrylonitrile product does not become cloudy when the region is collected at a pH at which the acrylonitrile product does not become cloudy are expressed by the above equation (1) modeled on the basis of the above theory. It was confirmed. That is, it has been clarified that if the operation is performed in the region on the right side of the boundary line shown in FIG. 3, it is possible to produce acrylonitrile satisfying the quality without causing the cloudiness problem of the product acrylonitrile.
