Description
図1Aは従来のロードビーム10を有するサスペンション2の平面図である。図1Bは、本発明に係るロードビーム10´を有するサスペンション2´の平面図である。図2は、本発明に係るロードビーム10´とダンパ14とを模式的に示す断面図である。このロードビーム10´の一部に凹部20が形成されている。図3Aは、図1Aに示された3A−3A線に沿う拡大断面図である。図3Bは、図1Bに示された3B−3B線に沿う拡大断面図である。図4Aは、図1Aに示された4A−4A線に沿う拡大断面図である。図4Bは、図1Bに示された4B−4B線に沿う拡大断面図である。

Claims (7)
- 磁気ヘッドを支持するディスク装置用のサスペンションであって、
薄板ばねからなり、側面方向から見て厚さ方向に曲げられた曲げ部を有し、この曲げ部を含む領域に凹部が形成されたロードビームと、
拘束体と該拘束体の厚さ方向に重ねた粘弾性体とにより構成され、前記凹部に収容され、前記粘弾性体が前記凹部の底面に貼り付けられかつ前記拘束体と前記粘弾性体とが前記曲げ部と同じ厚さ方向に曲げられたダンパとを具備し、
前記凹部の内周の互いに対向する両側面と前記拘束体の両側面との間に、前記拘束体の周りにはみ出した前記粘弾性体の一部を収容する溝を有したことを特徴とするサスペンション。 - 前記凹部がパーシャルエッチングによって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のサスペンション。
- 前記凹部がプレス加工によって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のサスペンション。
- 前記ロードビームが2枚の板を重ね合わせることによって構成され、一方の板に前記ダンパよりも大きな貫通孔をあけることにより、前記凹部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のサスペンション。
- 前記凹部の深さが、該凹部の底面に貼り付けられた前記ダンパの厚さ以上であることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のサスペンション。
- ディスク装置用のサスペンションの製造方法であって、
前記サスペンションは、薄板ばねからなり側面方向から見て厚さ方向に曲げられた曲げ部を有しこの曲げ部を含む領域に凹部が形成されたロードビームと、拘束体と該拘束体の厚さ方向に重ねた粘弾性体とにより構成され前記凹部に収容されたダンパとを有し、
該製造方法は、
前記ロードビームに前記凹部を形成すること、
前記凹部の底面に前記ダンパの前記粘弾性体を貼り付け、前記凹部の内周の互いに対向する両側面と前記拘束体の両側面との間に、前記拘束体の周りにはみ出した前記粘弾性体の一部を収容する溝を形成すること、
前記ダンパを貼り付けた後に前記ロードビームの前記曲げ部を曲げ加工するとともに前記拘束体と前記粘弾性体とを前記曲げ部と同じ厚さ方向に曲げること、
を含むことを特徴とするサスペンションの製造方法。 - ディスク装置用のサスペンションの製造方法であって、
前記サスペンションは、薄板ばねからなり側面方向から見て厚さ方向に曲げられた曲げ部を有しこの曲げ部を含む領域に凹部が形成されたロードビームと、拘束体と該拘束体の厚さ方向に重ねた粘弾性体とにより構成され前記凹部に収容されたダンパとを有し、
該製造方法は、
前記ロードビームが複数連なったロードビームブランクを薄板ばね材から製造すること、
前記ロードビームブランクの前記各ロードビームに前記ダンパを収容するための前記凹部を形成すること、
前記各ロードビームの前記凹部の底面にそれぞれ前記ダンパの前記粘弾性体を貼り付け、前記凹部の内周の互いに対向する両側面と前記拘束体の両側面との間に、前記拘束体の周りにはみ出した前記粘弾性体の一部を収容する溝を形成すること、
前記ダンパを貼り付けた後に前記ロードビームの前記曲げ部を曲げ加工するとともに前記拘束体と前記粘弾性体とを前記曲げ部と同じ厚さ方向に曲げること、
前記ロードビームを該ロードビームブランクのスクラップ部から切り離すこと、
を含むことを特徴とするサスペンションの製造方法。
