Description
アメリカ合衆国特許番号第6,050,752号により、フライス用の切削インサートは、従前から知られている。インサートは、面を仕上げる4つの第2の切れ刃の内の個々の切れ刃に隣接し、すくい面の周囲の部分よりも高い位置に配置されている平面を有している。しかしながら、このケースでは、個々の主切れ刃に隣接するポジの切削傾斜面が欠如している。したがって、すくい面の溝状又は波状部分が、コーナ面のすくい角より大きいネガのすくい角で主切れ刃から内側に延びている。
本発明は、上述した実施形態や図面で示された形態に制限されるものではない。このため、個々の肩の形状や寸法は、以下の請求項の範囲内で変更することができる。例えば、肩の頂面は、平面であることは必ずしも必要ではなく、例えば、湾曲形状又は平面形状とは異なる他の形状に変えることができる。したがって、肩の頂面において、切り屑ガイド又は切り屑に影響を与える構成の異なるもの、例えば、溝などを作ることも可能である。さらに、肩の頂面は、図示されるものではないように配置されることもできる。例えば、頂面は、最も高い頂部の後で、再び切削インサートの中心の方向の延長部で内方又は下方に傾斜するように、第2の切れ刃から内方又は上方に同じように傾斜又は曲がるように形成されることもできる。主切れ刃の全長に沿って延びる主切れ刃の内側に配置された傾斜面を内方又は下方に傾斜させることは、好ましいことであるけれども、より制限された切り込みが受け入れられならば、傾斜面の延長部分を短く形成することもできる。さらに、本発明は、第2の切れ刃及び主切れ刃の4つ以上の協働作用する対の他の数を有する切削インサートを受け入れることができるということが強調されるべきである。

Claims (1)
- すくい面として機能する頂面(1)と、下面(2)と、頂面(1)及び下面(2)の間を延びる複数の逃げ面と、転削インサートの中心(C)から間隔を開けて離れ、面を仕上げる第2の切れ刃(5)に移行するところのコーナで出会う一対の主切れ刃(4)とを備え、
前記第2の切れ刃(5)は前記一対の主切れ刃(4)の間で前記コーナを規定する二等分線と交差し、個々の主切れ刃(4)に沿うすくい面は皿状底面(12)の方に傾斜し、個々の逃げ面は転削インサートにポジティブの幾何学形状を与えるように、頂面(1)に対して鋭角を形成するポジティブ転削インサートにおいて、
底面(12)及びすくい面から突出する所定の厚みを有する肩(15)であって、前記二等分線に沿って前記第2の切れ刃(5)から内側に延びる頂面(16)を有する肩(15)を備え、該肩(15)が、頂面(16)とすくい面との間で高低差を生ずる傾斜面(19)を介してすくい面に移行し、すくい面の端を形成し、
頂面(1)は、主切れ刃(4)及び第2の切れ刃(5)にそれぞれ隣接する強化されたチャンファ面(7)を備え、強化されたチャンファ面(7)は分岐線(8)を介して第2のチャンファ面(9)に移行し、
強化されたチャンファ面(7)と第2のチャンファ面(9)とは鈍角をなし、
主切れ刃(4)に隣接する強化されたチャンファ面(7)に続く第2のチャンファ面(9)が分岐線(10)を介してすくい面に移行し、
第2の切れ刃(5)に隣接する強化されたチャンファ面(7)に続く面が肩(15)の頂面(16)と共通の平面に配置されていることを特徴とするポジティブ転削インサート。
