Claims (9)
- 銅含有鋼屑を溶解するための溶解室と、該溶解室の上部に直結し、銅含有鋼屑を予熱するためのシャフト型の予熱室と、を有し、溶解室で発生する排ガスを予熱室に導入して予熱室内の銅含有鋼屑を予熱し、予熱した銅含有鋼屑を溶解室で溶解し、溶解室に所定量の溶銑が溜まった時点で溶解室及び予熱室に銅含有鋼屑が存在する状態で溶銑を出湯するアーク炉を使用して銅含有鋼屑を加炭溶解して製鋼用溶銑を製造し、製造した溶銑をアーク炉から保持容器に出湯し、その後、前記保持容器に収容された、温度が1200℃以上1500℃以下、炭素濃度が2質量%以上、銅濃度が0.1質量%以上1.0質量%以下である溶銑に含まれる銅を硫黄含有フラックスを用いて除去し、次いで、溶銑に含まれる硫黄を除去することを特徴とする、鋼屑中の銅の除去方法。
- 前記硫黄含有フラックスがNa2Sを主成分とすることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の鋼屑中の銅の除去方法。
- 前記硫黄含有フラックスの出発原料として、Na2CO3を主成分とする材料及び鉄−硫黄合金を使用することを特徴とする、請求項1または請求項2に記載の鋼屑中の銅の除去方法。
- 前記硫黄含有フラックスによって銅を除去する前の溶銑は、温度が1250℃以上1350℃以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項3の何れか1つに記載の鋼屑中の銅の除去方法。
- 前記硫黄含有フラックスによって銅を除去する前の溶銑は、硫黄濃度が0.01質量%以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項4の何れか1つに記載の鋼屑中の銅の除去方法。
- 前記溶銑に含まれる銅の除去を、溶銑をアーク炉から保持容器に出湯した後の保持容器内の溶銑に対して機械攪拌式精錬装置を使用して行うことを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項5の何れか1つに記載の鋼屑中の銅の除去方法。
- 前記溶銑に含まれる銅の除去を、溶銑をアーク炉から保持容器に出湯した後の保持容器内の溶銑に搬送用ガスとともに硫黄含有フラックスを吹き込んで行うことを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項5の何れか1つに記載の鋼屑中の銅の除去方法。
- 前記溶銑に含まれる硫黄の除去処理を、溶銑をアーク炉から保持容器に出湯した後の保持容器内の溶銑に対して機械攪拌式精錬装置を使用して行うことを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項7の何れか1つに記載の鋼屑中の銅の除去方法。
- 前記硫黄含有フラックスによって銅を除去した後の溶銑に高炉溶銑を混合し、その後、高炉溶銑を混合した溶銑に含まれる硫黄を除去することを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項8の何れか1つに記載の鋼屑中の銅の除去方法。
