- 層状の集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)と、集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)の一面に配置された正極活物質層(5)と、集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)のもう一面に配置された負極活物質層(6)とからなる双極型電極(3)を電解質層(7)を介して複数積層するとともに、集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)の周縁部に取り付けられた電圧検出用端子(21a,21b,21c,21d)を備え、
電圧検出用端子(21a,21b,21c,21d)と集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)の図心(Oa,Ob,Oc,Od)とを結ぶ第1の直線(Da1,Db1,Dc1,Dd1)に直交し、集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)の図心(Oa,Ob,Oc,Od)を通る第2の直線(Da2,Db2,Dc2,Dd2)に関して前記電圧検出用端子(21a,21b,21c,21d)の反対側に、隣接する集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)の電圧検出用端子(21a,21b,21c,21d)を配置し、
図心(Oa,Ob,Oc,Od)で交わる2本の直線(L1a,L1b,L1c,L1d,L2a,L2b,L2c,L2d)で集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)の平面形状を4個の領域(RG1a,RG2a,RG3a,RG4a,RG1b,RG2b,RG3b,RG4b,RG1c,RG2c,RG3c,RG4c,RG1d,RG2d,RG3d,RG4d)に分割した場合に、隣接しない2つの領域の一方ともう一方に、隣接する集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)の電圧検出用端子(21a,21b,21c,21d)をそれぞれ配置するとともに、
前記隣接しない2つの領域は、2本の直線(L1a,L1b,L1c,L1d,L2a,L2b,L2c,L2d)の交角が鋭角をなす領域(RG1a,RG3a,RG1b,RG3b,RG1c,RG3c,RG1d,RG3d)である、双極型電池。 - 集電体(4,4a,4b,4c,4d,4aa,4ba,4ca,4da)の平面形状は長方形であり、図心(Oa,Ob,Oc,Od)で交わる2本の直線(L1a,L1b,L1c,L1d,L2a,L2b,L2c,L2d)は長方形の対角線である請求項1の双極型電池。
