Claims (5)
- 排ガスを順次流通させるようにしてケーシング(30)内に形成される複数の排気室(36〜38)のうち排ガスの流通方向(65)に沿う上流側の上流側排気室(36)および下流側の下流側排気室(38)間にわたるガス通路(67)の前記下流側排気室(38)への開口端に対向して配置されるシャッター部材(69)と、前記ガス通路(67)を閉鎖する側に前記シャッター部材(69)を付勢するスプリング(70)と、前記ガス通路(67)の前記下流側排気室(38)への開口端全周に当接することを可能として前記シャッター部材(69)に固着されるシール部材(72)とを備えるリリーフ弁(66)が、前記上流側排気室(36)の圧力が所定値以上になると開弁するようにして前記上流側排気室(36)および前記下流側排気室(38)間に介設される排気マフラーにおいて、金属製メッシュ材から成る前記シール部材(72)が、前記ガス通路(67)の出口を覆うようにして円板状に形成されることを特徴とする排気マフラー。
- 複数の前記排気室(36〜38)を前記ケーシング(30)内に形成する複数のセパレータ(39,40,41)で前記ケーシング(30)内が区画され、それらのセパレータ(39〜41)の少なくとも1つに、前記ガス通路(67)を形成する筒部材(68)が固定され、前記シール部材(72)の外周部を当接させるリングプレート(71)が前記ガス通路(67)の出口を囲むようにして前記筒部材(68)に固着されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気マフラー。
- 前記上流側排気室(36)を相互間に形成する一対の前記セパレータ(39,40)が、それらのセパレータ(39,40)に共通な補強板部材(44)を介して前記ケーシング(30)に固定されることを特徴とする請求項2記載の排気マフラー。
- 前記補強板部材(44)に、前記上流側排気室(36)に排ガスを導入する排気管(27)に連なって前記上流側排気室(36)に収容される触媒コンバータ(52)が支持されることを特徴とする請求項3記載の排気マフラー。
- 複数の前記セパレータ(39〜41)のうち前記筒部材(68)を支持して前記上流側排気室(36)に臨むセパレータ(40)に、前記筒部材(68)の前記上流側排気室(36)への開口端を覆うカバー部材(77)が固定されることを特徴とする請求項2〜4のいずれかに記載の排気マフラー。
