Claims (4)
- 予め成形された一対の板材を合体させると共に相互に連結し中空状となるように成形した中空部品であって、
いずれか一方の前記板材の外面から内方に向かってフロードリル加工を施すことにより形成された第1カラー部と、いずれか他方の前記板材の外面から内方に向かってフロードリル加工を施すことにより形成された第2カラー部と、を有し、前記第2カラー部を形成する際に前記第1カラー部の内方側先端部と前記第2カラー部の内方側先端部とを融着させ、前記第1の板材と第2の板材とを相互に連結する円筒状連結体を形成したことを特徴とする中空部品。 - 前記中空部品は、前記円筒状連結体に挿通したピン部材の突出端部に、一端がマスターバックと連結されたロッドの他端部を連結してなるブレーキペダルである請求項1に記載の中空部品。
- 予め成形された一対の板材を合体させると共に相互に連結し中空状となるように成形した中空部品の製造方法であって、
相互間に隙間を介在させて対設された前記一対の板材のいずれか一方の板材に対し、当該板材の面に直交する方向から内方に向けてフロードリルを前記板材に加圧した状態で回転させて孔明けしつつ、当該孔部の内周面に第1カラー部を形成する第1孔明け工程と、
前記フロードリルを後退させ、開設された孔部から退去させる工程と、
前記一対の板材のいずれか他方の板材の前記孔部に対向する位置に、前記他方の板材の面に直交する方向から内方に向けてフロードリルを前記板材に加圧した状態で回転させて孔明けしつつ、当該孔部の内周面に第2カラー部を形成すると共に、当該第2カラー部の内方側先端部と前記第1カラー部の内方側先端部とを相互に融着させ円筒状連結体を形成する第2孔明け工程と、
からなる中空部品の製造方法。 - 請求項3に記載の製造方法を実施するための中空部品の製造装置であって、
ボール盤の平坦なテーブルを中心として対向する位置にそれぞれ同軸的に配置した少なくとも一対の主軸と、
一方の前記主軸に取り付けられ、相互間に隙間を有する前記一対の板材のいずれか一方の板材に対し第1孔明け加工を施し第1カラー部を形成する第1フロードリルと、
他方の前記主軸に取り付けられ、前記一対の板材の他方の板材に対し第2孔明け加工を施し第2カラー部を形成する第2フロードリルと、
を有し、
前記第2カラー部の内方側先端部を前記第1カラー部の内方側先端部に融着させ、前記両板材相互を連結する円筒状連結体を形成するようにしたことを特徴とする中空部品の製造装置。
