Claims (2)
- 複数の突条歯が形成された外周を有する雄シャフトと、
複数の歯溝が形成された内周を有する雌シャフトと、を備え、
前記雄シャフトと前記雌シャフトが軸方向に相対摺動可能、且つ、前記雄シャフトと前記雌シャフトの間で回転トルクを伝達可能に、前記雄シャフトの突条歯に前記雌シャフトの歯溝が外嵌され、
前記突条歯の歯面には、当該突条歯と前記雌シャフトの歯溝の間の摺動抵抗を減少させる弾性材料からなる被覆部が形成されており、
前記突条歯の前記被覆部の中央部の歯面は前記雄シャフトの半径方向外側に向かって凸の円弧状に形成され、前記中央部の歯面の曲率半径は前記歯溝の中央部の歯面の曲率半径よりも小さく、
前記突条歯の被覆部の歯面と前記歯溝の歯面との噛み合い部の歯たけ方向の両側には、当該噛み合い部の歯たけ方向の中央部から両側に向かって拡がるくさび状の隙間が形成されており、
前記突条歯の前記被覆部の歯たけ方向の歯先側および歯元側には、前記雌シャフトの半径方向外側に向かって凸のR面取りが形成されており、前記突条歯の前記被覆部の中央部の歯面と前記被覆部の歯たけ方向の歯先側と歯元側のR面取りは同じ方向に凸になっている、ステアリング装置用伸縮軸。 - 前記突条歯の歯元には、前記雌シャフトの歯溝の歯先近傍の面が前記突条歯の歯元に当接しないように逃げ部が形成されている、請求項1に記載のステアリング装置用伸縮軸。
