Description
The present invention relates to a straddle-type vehicle such as a motorcycle.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a motorcycle in which an engine is attached to a lower part of a main frame that extends rearward and downward from a head pipe, an intake chamber that takes in external air into the engine is provided below the main frame and above the front of the engine. The intake chamber and the engine are connected by an intake pipe, and a throttle valve for adjusting the amount of air supplied to the engine is arranged in the intake pipe. Such a layout structure is mainly used in small motorcycles.
In motorcycles, electric throttle valves that electrically control the opening and closing of the throttle valve in accordance with the throttle operation by the occupant are becoming widespread. A valve drive motor for driving the throttle valve is disposed above the throttle valve. The drive shaft is arranged so as to be parallel to the rotation shaft of the throttle valve (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In the electric throttle valve as described above, the valve drive motor is disposed immediately above the intake pipe. For this reason, when an electric throttle valve is applied to the layout structure of a small motorcycle, the position of the main frame is increased by the amount corresponding to the valve drive motor. On the other hand, if the position of the main frame is maintained, the position of the engine is lowered, so that the minimum ground clearance is easily affected.
An object of the present invention is to provide a straddle-type vehicle that can be made more compact in a straddle-type vehicle having an electric throttle valve.
The invention according to

According to a fifth aspect of the invention, in addition to the configuration of the second aspect, an intake chamber that communicates with the intake pipe is provided on the upstream side of the intake pipe, and the valve drive motor is configured to be It is arranged to overlap with the intake chamber.
According to a sixth aspect of the invention, in addition to the configuration of the fifth aspect, the valve drive motor is supported by the intake chamber.
According to a seventh aspect of the invention, in addition to the configuration of the fifth or sixth aspect, the intake chamber includes a concave portion on a side surface thereof, and the valve driving motor is disposed in the concave portion. Features.
According to an eighth aspect of the present invention, in addition to the configuration according to the seventh aspect, the intake chamber includes a rib that covers a portion of the valve drive motor projecting outward from the recess from the front. To do.
According to a ninth aspect of the present invention, in addition to the configuration according to the first aspect, the intake pipe has an intake pipe located downstream of the throttle valve, and the valve drive motor has a side view. In this case, the air intake pipe is disposed so as to overlap the intake pipe.
According to a tenth aspect of the present invention, in addition to the configuration according to the ninth aspect, the valve drive motor is supported by the intake pipe.
According to an eleventh aspect of the present invention, in addition to the configuration according to the first aspect, the valve drive motor is disposed so as to overlap the cylinder head in a side view.
According to a twelfth aspect of the invention, in addition to the configuration of the eleventh aspect, the valve drive motor is supported by the cylinder head.
According to a thirteenth aspect of the invention, in addition to the configuration of the eleventh or twelfth aspect, the valve drive motor is supported on the cam chain side of the cylinder head.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the direction in which the second rotating shaft extends and the direction in which the first rotating shaft extends are arranged such that the second rotating shaft of the valve drive motor is disposed at one end of the first rotating shaft of the throttle valve. It is provided so as to be orthogonal. According to this, since the valve drive motor is not disposed immediately above the intake pipe, it is not necessary to increase the position of the main frame by the amount corresponding to the valve drive motor. Therefore, when an electric throttle valve is applied to the layout structure of the saddle riding type vehicle,
A more compact vehicle can be obtained.
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the valve drive motor is disposed above the first rotation shaft of the throttle valve. For this reason, the valve drive motor can be separated from the engine. Therefore, the valve drive motor is less susceptible to the heat generated by the engine. In addition, the valve drive motor can be arranged in the vicinity of the side of the intake pipe with enough space so that the second rotating shaft extends in the vertical direction, so that the valve drive motor can be placed horizontally above the intake pipe. Compared to the arrangement, lateral protrusions by the valve drive motor can be reduced.
According to the third aspect of the present invention, the valve drive motor is disposed so as to overlap the main frame in a side view. For this reason, the position of the main frame can be lowered. That is, the position of the main frame can be lowered by disposing at least a part of the main frame in a space formed by the valve drive motor and the throttle valve. Thereby, a passenger | crew's boarding / alighting property can be improved more.
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, the valve drive motor is supported by the main frame. For this reason, the heavy valve drive motor can be firmly supported by the relatively rigid main frame.
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the valve drive motor is disposed so as to overlap the intake chamber in a side view. For this reason, the valve drive motor can be separated from the engine. Therefore, the valve drive motor is less susceptible to the heat generated by the engine.
According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, the valve drive motor is supported by the intake chamber. In such a configuration, the valve drive motor can be more firmly fixed.
According to the seventh aspect of the present invention, the recess is provided in the side surface of the intake chamber, and the valve drive motor is disposed in the recess. For this reason, the valve drive motor can be arranged without protruding in the lateral width direction of the intake chamber or with a small degree of protrusion. Further, the valve drive motor can be brought close to the center of the vehicle body by disposing the valve drive motor in the recess. For this reason, the position of the center of gravity of the vehicle can be made closer to the center of the vehicle body. Therefore, the center of gravity of the vehicle can be brought closer to the center of the vehicle body while ensuring the capacity of the intake chamber.
Further, the valve drive motor disposed in the recess of the intake chamber is covered with the intake chamber when viewed from the front. For this reason, the valve drive motor can be protected by the intake chamber even if solids such as stones, water or the like flies from the front of the intake chamber. Further, since it is not necessary to attach a protective member or the like to the valve drive motor, it is possible to suppress an increase in weight and cost.
According to the eighth aspect of the present invention, the intake chamber includes a rib that covers the valve drive motor projecting outward from the recess from the front. For this reason, the valve drive motor can be protected by the rib of the intake chamber. Further, since it is not necessary to attach a protective member or the like to the valve drive motor, it is possible to suppress an increase in weight and cost.
According to the ninth aspect of the present invention, the valve drive motor is disposed so as to overlap the intake pipe disposed downstream of the throttle valve in a side view. Therefore, the heavy valve drive motor can be moved toward the center of the vehicle body. For this reason, the position of the center of gravity of the vehicle can be made closer to the center of the vehicle body. Further, the lateral protrusion by the valve drive motor can be reduced.
According to the invention described in
According to the eleventh aspect of the present invention, the valve drive motor is disposed so as to overlap the cylinder head in a side view. Therefore, a heavy valve drive motor can be disposed below the vehicle body. For this reason, the center of gravity of the vehicle body can be lowered.
According to the twelfth aspect of the present invention, the valve drive motor is supported by the cylinder head. For this reason, the heavy valve drive motor can be firmly supported by the cylinder head.

The
The

As shown in FIG. 2, the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The
Thus, in the
The
In the
Since the
Since the
Since the

(Second Embodiment)
Next, a second embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 4 is a side view around the engine of the motorcycle according to the second embodiment. The overall configuration of the motorcycle in the second embodiment is the same as that of the first embodiment. In the second embodiment, the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and description thereof will be omitted as appropriate.
The second embodiment is mainly different from the first embodiment in the configuration and arrangement of the
As shown in FIG. 4, the
Next, the configuration of the
As shown in FIG. 5, the
Further, as shown in FIG. 4, a
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, the
In the configuration of FIG. 5, the
In FIG. 6, the
The
The case cover 28 is a member that is attached to the front side of the

FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram of a cross section taken along the line cc of FIG. In FIG. 7, the cross-section and shape of the members are appropriately simplified or omitted for easy explanation. As shown in FIG. 7, the
The configuration of the

The third
The

As shown in FIG. 4, the
As shown in FIG. 7, the
As described above, the
Thus, in the
According to the
Since the
Since the
As shown in FIG. 5, since the concave portion B is provided on the side surface of the
As shown in FIG. 5, since the recess B is provided on the rear air
Further, by disposing the
The
Even when a part of the
In the configuration shown in FIG. 6 as well, since it is not necessary to reduce the width of the
Further, since it is not necessary to attach a protective member or the like to the

The
The rotational output generated by the
As shown in FIG. 10, the
Next, a support structure for the throttle valve unit 20C and the
As shown in FIG. 12, the
On the other hand, the
The
The drive sprocket of the
The
Thus, in the throttle valve unit 20C of the present embodiment, the
According to the
Since the
Since the
Since the
As mentioned above, although embodiment of this invention was described, this invention is not limited to embodiment mentioned above, It can implement with a various form.
For example, in each embodiment, the example which fixed the gear box case which accommodates a valve drive motor and a gear box to each part of a vehicle body was shown. However, the method of fixing the valve drive motor to the vehicle body is not limited to this example. For example, the valve drive motor and the gear box may be housed in separate cases, and these cases may be coupled to fix the case housing the valve drive motor to each part of the vehicle body. When the valve drive motor is not housed in the case, the valve drive motor may be directly fixed to each part of the vehicle body using a fixing member such as a bracket or a band. Further, the valve drive motor is not limited to being fixed at one place, and may be fixed at a plurality of places.
Further, the valve drive motor is not limited to the DC motor shown in the embodiment, and may be an AC motor. As the AC motor, for example, in addition to a general induction motor, a stepping motor in which the rotation angle of the rotation shaft is controlled by pulse input can be used. In other words, any type of motor may be used as the valve drive motor as long as it is a rotary motor.
In each embodiment, the direction in which the second rotation shaft of the valve drive motor extends and the direction in which the first rotation shaft of the throttle body extends are orthogonal to each other. However, the second rotating shaft of the valve drive motor and the first rotating shaft of the throttle body do not necessarily have to be strictly orthogonal. That is, the second rotating shaft and the first rotating shaft may be provided so as to be substantially orthogonal (intersect substantially 90 degrees).
Moreover, the saddle riding type vehicle according to the present invention can be suitably applied to a small motorcycle in which an engine is attached to the lower part of a main frame extending rearward and downward from the head pipe as in the present embodiment. However, the application of the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the saddle riding type vehicle according to the present invention may be applied to a scooter type vehicle having a low-floor footrest, a three-wheeled vehicle or a four-wheeled vehicle. That is, the saddle riding type vehicle includes all the vehicles that ride across the vehicle body.
