Description
アルミニウム13.93g、ケイ素49.960g、鉄25.637g、及びジルコニウム10.469g(全て99.8%又はより良い純度)を秤量皿に秤量した後、ARC炉(アドバンスド・バキューム・システムズ(Advanced Vacuum Systems)、(マサチューセッツ州、エーア(Ayer))から入手可能)内に入れた。混合物を、Ar雰囲気下で溶融し、組成物Si62Al18Fe16Zr4を有するインゴットを得た(ここで、全ての量は原子パーセントである)。
溶融紡糸インゴットを、実施例1に記載される手順に従って調製した。合金の組成物は、Si55Al29.3Fe15.7であった(ここで全ての量は、原子パーセントである)。図3に示されるX線回折結果は、鋭いピークの欠如を明らかにし、組成物がアモルファスであることを証明した。
表2にて説明される組成物を有する試料を、実施例1に記載される手順に従って調製した。X線回折データは、両方のケースにおいて鋭いピークの欠如を明らかにし、組成物がアモルファスであることを証明した。各組成物を使用して調製される電気化学セルの循環容量も、表2にて説明される。結果は、各セルが良好な循環挙動を示したことを証明する。
Claims (2)
- 式SixMyAlzを有するアモルファス合金〔式中x、y、及びzは原子パーセント値を表し、
(a)x+y+z=100、
(b)x≧55、
(c)y<22、
(d)z>0、並びに
(e)Mは
鉄であるか、又は
マンガン、モリブデン、ニオブ、タングステン、タンタル、銅、チタン、バナジウム、クロム、ニッケル、コバルト、ジルコニウム、イットリウム、及びこれらの組合せから成る群から選択される1種以上の金属と鉄との組み合わせである〕
を含む、リチウムイオン電池用の電極組成物。 - 以下、
(a)アノード、
(b)カソード、及び
(c)電解質、
を含み、前記アノードは式SixMyAlzを有するアモルファス合金を含み、式中x、y、及びzは原子パーセント値を表し、
(i)x+y+z=100、
(ii)x≧55、
(iii)y<22、
(iv)z>0、並びに
(v)Mは
鉄であるか、又は
マンガン、モリブデン、ニオブ、タングステン、タンタル、銅、チタン、バナジウム、クロム、ニッケル、コバルト、ジルコニウム、イットリウム、及びこれらの組合せから成る群から選択される1種以上の金属と鉄との組み合わせである、リチウムイオン電池。
