前記セッダウン信号が供給されるうちに、他の電極には正極性バイアス信号が供給されることが望ましい。
Claims (11)
- 互いに並んで形成される複数の第1電極及び複数の第2電極、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極と交差する第3電極を含むプラズマディスプレイパネルと、
前記第1電極に一つのフレームの一番目のサブフィールドのリセット期間で正極性の第1セットアップ信号を供給して、前記一番目のサブフィールドのリセット期間以降のアドレス期間で前記第1電極にスキャン信号を供給して、前記一番目のサブフィールドのアドレス期間以降のサステイン期間で前記第2電極にサステイン信号を供給して、前記フレームの二番目のサブフィールドのリセット期間で前記第1セットアップ信号の電圧の大きさより小さな電圧の大きさを持つ正極性の第2セットアップ信号を前記第2電極に供給して、前記二番目のサブフィールドのリセット期間以降のアドレス期間で前記第1電極にスキャン信号を供給して、前記二番目のサブフィールドのアドレス期間以降のサステイン期間で前記第2電極にサステイン信号を供給する駆動部を含み、
前記サステイン信号は交互に供給する正極性の第1サステイン信号と負極性の第2サステイン信号を含み、前記第1サステイン信号の最大電圧は前記第2セットアップ信号の最大電圧と同一であり、
前記第1電極及び第2電極に信号を供給する前記駆動部は、単一駆動ボードで形成され、当該前記単一駆動ボードが連結部材によって前記第1電極及び第2電極と電気的に連結されており、
前記第1電極と第2電極が前記連結部材と繋がれる部分の長さが互いに異なり、
前記第2電極は、同一電極どうし互いに隣り合うように配置され、互いに隣り合う同一電極の端は互いに繋がれることを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイ装置。 - 前記第1セットアップ信号が供給されるうちに前記第3電極には前記第1セットアップ信号と同一極性の信号が供給されることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記同一極性の信号の電圧の大きさは、前記スキャン信号に対応して前記第3電極に供給されるアドレス信号の電圧の大きさと実質的に等しいことを特徴とする、請求項2記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1サステイン信号が供給されるうちに前記第3電極に前記第1サステイン信号と等しい極性の信号が供給されることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記等しい極性の信号の電圧の大きさは、前記スキャン信号に対応して前記第3電極に 供給されるアドレス信号の電圧の大きさと実質的に等しいことを特徴とする、請求項4記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記フレームの一番目のサブフィールドのリセット期間で前記第1セットアップ信号の供給以降に前記第1電極にセッダウン信号が供給されることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記セッダウン信号の傾きは10V/μs以下であることを特徴とする、請求項7記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記セッダウン信号が供給されるうちに、前記第2電極には正極性バイアス信号が供給されることを特徴とする、請求項6記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記セッダウン信号の供給が終わる時点に、前記第2の電極には正極性バイアス信号が供給されることを特徴とする、請求項6記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 交番する前記第1サステイン信号と前記第2サステイン信号の間には所定の基準信号が供給されることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
- 前記基準信号の電圧レベルはグラウンド電圧レベルであることを特徴とする、請求項10記載のプラズマディスプレイ装置。
