Description
以下、各成分の製造例を示す。
(酸無水物変性塩素化エマルジョン合成例)
攪拌羽根、温度計、温度制御サーミスター装置、滴下装置及び冷却管を備えた反応装置に、無水マレイン酸変性塩素化ポリオレフィン樹脂(「スーパークロン892LS」;日本製紙(株)製:塩素含有率22%、重量平均分子量7万〜8万)を288部、界面活性剤(「エマルゲン920」花王(株)製)62部、芳香族炭化水素溶剤「ソルベッソ100」エクソン社製)74部、酢酸カービトール32部を仕込み、110℃まで昇温し、この温度で1時間加熱し樹脂などを溶解させた後、100℃以下に冷却した。次いでジメチルエタノールアミン6部を溶解させたイオン交換水710部を攪拌しながら1時間で滴下し、転相乳化した。その後、室温まで冷却し、400メッシュの金網でろ過して、無水マレイン酸変性塩素化ポリオレフィンエマルジョンを得た。このエマルジョンの不揮発分は30質量%であった。
攪拌羽根、温度計、温度制御、滴下装置、サンプル採取口及び冷却管付き還流装置、窒素導入管を備えた耐圧反応容器に窒素ガスを通じながらアジピン酸1100部と3メチル−1,5−ペンタンジオール900部と、テトラブチルチタネート0.5部とを仕込み、容器内液の反応温度を170℃に設定し、脱水によるエステル反応を行い、酸価が0.3mgKOH/g以下になるまで継続した。ついで、180℃、5kPa以下の減圧条件下で2時間反応を行い、水酸基価112mgKOH/g,酸価0.2mgKOH/gのポリエステルを得た。ついで、上記反応容器と同じ装置のついた別の反応容器に、このポリエステルポリオール500部、5−スルホソジゥムイソフタール酸ジメチル134部及びテトラブチルチタネート2部を仕込み、上記と同じようにして、窒素ガスを通じながら、反応温度を180℃に設定してエステル化反応を行い、最終的に分子量2117、水酸基価53mgKOH/g,酸価が0.3mgKOH/gのスルホン酸基含有ポリエステルを得た。
上記スルホン酸基含有ポリエステル(合成例1)を280部、ポリブチレンアジペート200部、1,4−ブタンジオール35部、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート118部及びメチルエチルケトン400部とを、攪拌羽根、温度計、温度制御、滴下装置、サンプル採取口及び冷却管付き反応容器に窒素ガスを通じながら仕込み、攪拌しながら液温を75℃に保持してウレタン化反応を行い、NCO含有率が1%であるウレタンプレポリマーを得た。続いて、上記反応容器中温度を40℃に下げて、十分攪拌しながらイオン交換水955部を均一に滴下して転相乳化を行った。次いで、内部温度を室温に下げて、アジピン酸ヒドラジド13部とイオン交換水110部とを混合したアジピン酸ヒドラジド水溶液を添加してアミン伸長を行った。ついで、若干の減圧状態で60℃に液温をあげて脱溶剤を行い、終了した時点で、ポリウレタンディスパージョンの固形分が35%になるようにイオン交換水を追加してスルホン酸基含有ポリウレタンディスパージョン(B1)を得た。酸価は11mgKOH/gであった。これの乾燥膜厚100μmの100%モジュラスは2であった。
(合成例2)で行ったと同じ反応工程で、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートのみをイソホロンジイソシアネート156部に代えた以外は、全く同じ配合・工程でウレタンディスパージョン(B2)を得た。この場合も最終時点でイオン交換水追加により、固形分を35%に調整し、酸価は11mgKOH/gであった。これの乾燥膜厚100μmの100%モジュラスは16であった。
攪拌羽根、温度計、滴下装置、温度制御装置、窒素ガス導入管及び冷却管を備えた反応容器に、イオン交換水37部を仕込み、80℃まで昇温した。昇温から反応完了まで全て内部液攪拌しながら各作業を行った。一方、乳化機(T.K.ロボミックスRM型;プライミクス(株)製)にイオン交換水21部、界面活性剤Newcol 710を1部、Newcol 740を1部(いずれも界面活性剤、日本乳化剤(株)製)を仕込み、攪拌しながら均一溶解を行った。
攪拌羽根、温度計、滴下装置、温度制御装置、窒素ガス導入管及び冷却管を備えた反応容器に、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルエーテル55部を仕込み、窒素ガスを導入しつつ、攪拌下120℃まで昇温した。次に、2−ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート12部、メタクリル酸9部、イソブチルメタクリレート35部、n−ブチルアクリレート44部からなる重合性モノマー混合物と、t−ブチルパーオキシー2−エチルヘキサナート1部をプロピレングリコール8部に溶解した溶液とを、内部攪拌にてそれぞれ3時間をかけて滴下した。
攪拌機のついたステンレス製の円筒攪拌槽に、上記製造例での水性プライマー用顔料分散樹脂33.3部を仕込み、攪拌しながらイオン交換水21部を添加した。次いで、顔料分散割SURFYNOL GA(不揮発分=78%;エアープロダクツ社製)2.0部を攪拌しながら添加した。十分攪拌しながら、消泡割ノプコ8034−L(不揮発分100%;サンノプコ社製)0.4部を添加した。攪拌を続けながら、次いでつや消し剤シリカのニップシールSS−50B(東ソー・シリカ社製)11.3部、導電性カーボンのカーボンECP600JD(ライオン(株)社製)9.0部、チタンR−960(Du Pont社製)48.2部を順序よく仕込み、さらに最後にイオン交換水3.9部、次いでサイメル701(サイテックインダストリーズ(株)社製;不揮発分=82%)を12.2部添加し、十分攪拌しながら、全体が均一になるまで15分間攪拌して、顔料ミルベースを作成した。このミルベースをサンドグラインダーミルにより顔料分散を行い、水性プライマー用顔料分散ペーストを作成した。このものの不揮発分は、64%であり、顔料濃度(PWC)は、75.8%であった。
(合成例1)
減圧可能反応容器に、セチルアルコールとエチレンオキサイド70モルのとの付加物(数平均分子量3320)6645質量部を、減圧下100℃で3時間脱水し、上記付加物の水分量を0.005%以下にした。
会合型増粘剤製造例(合成例1)と同じ手法・条件で、セチルアルコールとエチレンオキサイド100モルとの付加物(数平均分子量4640)9285質量部を減圧下で脱水し、水分量を0.005%以下とし、ついで大気圧下に70℃に冷却して、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート168質量部及びジブチルチンジラウレート0.9質量部を加え、窒素雰囲気下80℃に昇温して5時間反応させた。得られたウレタン化合物は粘ちょう液状で、ポリスチレン換算での重量平均分子量は、12000であった。
会合型増粘剤製造例(合成例1)と同じ手法・条件で、セチルアルコールとエチレンオキサイド30モルとの付加物(数平均分子量1560)3125質量部を減圧下で脱水し、水分量を0.005%以下とし、ついで大気圧下に70℃に冷却して、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート168質量部及びジブチルチンジラウレート0.3質量部を加え、窒素雰囲気下80℃に昇温して5時間反応させた。
攪拌装置のついたステンレス製容器に上記エポキシ基含有アクリル樹脂を100部を仕込み、攪拌しながら以下のものを順に仕込み、水性プライマーを作製した。
酸無水物変性塩素化ポリオレフィンエマルション樹脂(A) 100部
ウレタンディスパージョン製造例(合成例1、100%モジュラス2) 57部
サイメル701 12.2部
顔料分散ペースト製造例 10部
ウレタン会合型増粘剤(合成例1、Mw=8000) 0.14部
2エチルヘキサノール 6 部
表面調整剤サーフィノール440(エアープロダクツ社製) 3.5部
イオン交換水 136.54部
この塗料の不揮発分は、32質量%であった。
同様の手順で、表2に記載の配合で、実施例1〜5のプライマーを作製した。
[比較例1〜5]
同様の手順で、表3に記載の配合で、比較例1〜5のプライマーを作製した。
[比較例6〜9]
同様の手順で、表3に記載の配合で、比較例6〜9のプライマーを作製した。但し、比較例6ではアルカリ膨潤型増粘剤(プライマルASE−60)を用い、比較例7ではウレタンディスパージョン(合成例2:100%モジュラス16)を用い、比較例8ではウレタン会合型増粘剤(合成例2:Mw=12000)を用い、比較例9ではウレタン会合型増粘剤(合成例3:Mw=4000)を用いた。
リコート塗膜作成方法によりそれぞれのテストピースを作成し、初期密着(リコート1次密着)及び耐水2次密着、ワキ性、クラック性評価を行い、表2、3及び4に結果を示した。
塗料を、イソプロピルアルコールにてワイピングしたポリプロピレン素材(70mm×150mm×3mm)に25℃/70%RHの環境下においてワイダー71(アネスト岩田製)でスプレー塗装(乾燥膜厚8μm)し、80℃で3分間プレヒートした。
JIS K5600−5‐6に準拠して、碁盤目による剥離試験を行った。2mm角の100個の碁盤目を用意し、粘着テープにより剥離試験を行い、1個でも剥がれたテストピースは密着性×と評価した。
上記方法にて作成されたテストピースについて40℃の耐水槽にて240H浸漬させる。浸漬終了後引き上げた後、1時間以内にJIS K5600−5‐6に準拠して、碁盤目セロテープ(登録商標)剥離試験を行った。2mm角の100個の碁盤目を用意し、セロハンテープ剥離試験を行い、剥がれなかった碁盤目数を数えた。
実施例1〜5および比較例1〜9で作成した水性プライマー塗料を、IPAワイプしたポリプロピレン素材(70mm×150mm×3mm)に25℃/70%RHの環境下において、乾燥膜厚10μmに塗装し、15秒セッティングした後、乾燥炉にて80℃で3分間プレヒートを実施した。
中心部を50mmφの円に切り取ったポリプロピレン素材(70mm×75mm×3mm)をイソプロピルアルコールにてワイピング脱脂を行った後、25℃で70%RH(相対湿度)の環境下において、水性プライマー塗料を、ワイダー71(アネスト岩田社製)で塗装(乾燥膜厚15μm)し、30秒間、上記環境下にて放置後、炉内温度60℃で炉内風速が4m/秒の乾燥炉に入れ、3分間乾燥した。冷却後、塗板の円周辺部の溜まり部のクラック評価を目視で行った。クラックが1箇所でもあれば×とし、全くクラックがないのを○とした。
Claims (10)
- 被塗装部材の上に、水性プライマー塗料を塗装する工程(第1コート)と、水性プライマーがウエット状態の部材に水性ベース塗料を塗装する工程(第2コート)工程と、ベース塗装されたウエット状態の部材にクリヤー塗料を塗装する工程(第3コート)と、塗装された3層(第1〜3コート層)を一度に焼き付け硬化させる工程(ベーク)からなる塗膜形成の後、該3層上に更に塗装(リコート)する塗膜形成方法に用いるリコート用水性プライマーであって、(A)酸無水物変性塩素化ポリオレフィンエマルジョン、(B)スルホン酸基含有ポリウレタンディスパージョン、(C)エポキシ基含有アクリルエマルジョン、(D)硬化剤、(E)顔料分散樹脂、(F)増粘剤、及び(G)2−エチルヘキサノール、ジエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、及びエチレングリコールモノ−2−エチルヘキシルエーテルから選択される1種以上であり、全塗料中1〜10質量%配合される疎水性高沸点溶剤を含み、(A)+(B)+(C)+(D)+(E)の合計固形分100部中で、(A)=20〜35部、(B)=15〜35部、(C)=20〜35部、(D)=5〜15部、(E)=5〜35部であることを特徴とするリコート用水性プライマー。
- 前記(B)スルホン酸基含有ポリウレタンディスパージョンは、20℃での100%モジュラスが0.3〜10(N/mm2)未満であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリコート用水性プライマー。
- 全塗料中での(A)+(B)+(C)+(D)+(E)の合計固形分は40〜70質量%であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のリコート用水性プライマー。
- 前記(D)硬化剤は、メラミン樹脂及び/又はブロックイソシアネートであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載のリコート用水性プライマー。
- 前記(F)増粘剤は、ウレタン会合型増粘剤であり、重量平均分子量が5000〜10000であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載のリコート用水性プライマー。
- 被塗装部材が、プラスチック部材であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載のリコート用水性プライマー。
- 被塗装部材の上に、水性プライマーを塗装(第1コート)し、水性プライマーがウエット状態の部材に水性ベース塗料を塗装(第2コート)し、ベース塗装されたウエット状態の部材にクリヤー塗料を塗装(第3コート)し、塗装された3層(第1〜3コート層)を一度に焼き付け硬化(ベーク)させて塗膜形成した後に、該3層上に更に、水性プライマーを塗装(第1リコート)し、中塗りされたウエット状態の部材に水性ベース塗料を塗装(第2リコート)し、ベース塗装されたウエット状態の部材にクリヤー塗料を塗装(第3リコート)し、塗装された3層(第1〜3リコート層)を一度に焼き付け硬化(ベーク)させて塗膜形成塗装(リコート)する塗膜形成方法であって、(A)酸無水物変性塩素化ポリオレフィンエマルジョン、(B)スルホン酸基含有ポリウレタンディスパージョン、(C)エポキシ基含有アクリルエマルジョン、(D)硬化剤、(E)顔料分散樹脂、(F)増粘剤、及び(G)2−エチルヘキサノール、ジエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、及びエチレングリコールモノ−2−エチルヘキシルエーテルから選択される1種以上であり、全塗料中1〜10質量%配合される疎水性高沸点溶剤を含み、(A)+(B)+(C)+(D)+(E)の合計固形分100部中で、(A)=20〜35部、(B)=15〜35部、(C)=20〜35部、(D)=5〜15部、(E)=5〜35部であるリコート用水性プライマーを用いることを特徴とする塗膜形成方法。
- 前記第3コート用クリヤー塗料が、2液硬化型アクリル・ポリイソシアネート塗料であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の塗膜形成方法。
- 前記第1コート用水性プライマー塗料とリコート用水性プライマー塗料が同一であることを特徴とする請求項7又は8に記載の塗膜形成方法。
- 被塗装部材が、プラスチック部材であることを特徴とする請求項7乃至9のいずれかに記載の塗膜形成方法。
