図1乃至図3を用いて、本発明に係る発光装置の作製方法を説明する。図1は、成膜装置の簡略な模式図を示している。また、図2及び図3は、本発明に係る蒸着源を作製するフローチャート図を示す。
本実施の形態では、本発明を適用して、発光装置を作製する方法について説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明に係る発光装置の作製を可能とする成膜装置の例について説明する。本実施の形態に係る成膜装置の断面の模式図を図9、図10に示す。
本実施の形態では、本発明を適用して作製した発光装置を用いて完成させた様々な電気器具について、図11を用いて説明する。

Claims (2)
- 第1の基板上に、ホスト材料及び前記ホスト材料よりも蒸着温度が高いドーパント材料を含有する第1の有機化合物層を形成し、
第1の電極を有する第2の基板を前記第1の基板と対向する位置に配置し、前記第1の電極と前記第1の有機化合物層とを対向させ、
前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との間に、開口部を有するマスクを配置し、
ヒーターまたはランプを用いて、前記第1の有機化合物層を前記ホスト材料の蒸着温度以上前記ドーパント材料の蒸着温度未満の温度に加熱することにより、前記第2の基板上に設けられた前記第1の電極上に、第2の有機化合物層を選択的に形成し、
前記第2の有機化合物層上に第2の電極を形成し、
前記ドーパント材料は、(アセチルアセトナート)ビス(2,3,5−トリフェニルピラジナト)イリジウムであることを特徴とする発光装置の作製方法。 - 請求項1において、
前記第1の有機化合物層は湿式法で形成することを特徴とする発光装置の作製方法。
