Description
ところで、走行によりビード部は繰返し曲げ変形を受けることによって、ゴムチェーファーとサイドウォールゴム層とが剥離する場合があった。
この空気入りタイヤでは、図11に示すように、サイドウォール104を構成するサイドウォールゴム層106の半径方向内端部に設けた内側片106A、外側片106Bが上方部を先細としたゴムチェーファー102のタイヤ軸方向内面、外面に夫々接して覆うように構成し、サイドウォールゴム層106とゴムチェーファー102との接合面積を大きくしその接合を強固としている。
そして、このゴムシート110の貼り付けられたゴム押出部材108を製造途中のタイヤケースのカーカス外側面に貼りつけ、空気入りタイヤを製造していた。
(1) 別部材としてのゴムシート110が必要となり、ゴムシート110を製造する設備が必要となる。
(2) ゴム押出部材108にゴムシート110を貼り付ける工程が増える。
(3) 厚みのあるゴムシート110を貼りつけることにより、図12に示すように、ゴム押出部材108の表面に段差112が生じるので、製品不良(段差部分の空気がベアの原因となる、クリスの原因となる等。)に繋がる。
(4) 貼り合わせ位置の精度が要求される。
したがって、第3の流路から流出させる第1の未加硫ゴムを最も効率的に第2の未加硫ゴムに付着させるには、第3の流路が第2の流路に対して直角方向に第1の未加硫ゴムを流出させることが好ましい。
図1に示すように、未加硫ゴム押出装置10は3基の押出機本体12、14、16と、押出機本体12、14、16の先端部を連結する押出ヘッド18とを有している。
なお、各押出機本体12、14、16は、未加硫ゴム供給用ホッパ(図示省略)を備え、3種類の互いに配合組成が異なる未加硫ゴムA、B、Cがホッパから各押出機本体12、14、16に連続して供給され、各押出機本体12、14、16内部で回転駆動されるスクリュウ(図示省略)により練り合わされ、自己発熱して可塑度を低めて流動性を増しながら押出ヘッド18に向け導き出される。
各押出機本体12、14、16の構成は、従来品と同様の構成である。
図2の断面図に示すように、この未加硫ゴム部材19は、ゴムチェーファーを形成するための未加硫ゴムA、サイドウォールゴム層を形成するための未加硫ゴムB及びトレッドのタイヤショルダー付近内側に配置されるクッションゴム層を形成するための未加硫ゴムCの3種類の未加硫ゴムより構成されており、水平方向(矢印L方向及び矢印R方向)に幅広に押出成型される。
内側片Ba1及び外側片Ba2は、共に端部に向けて肉厚を減じた先細状をなしている。
なお、未加硫ゴムA(ゴムチェーファー)の未加硫ゴムB(サイドウォールゴム層)側は、上面が外側片Ba2に接して覆われるとともに、下面が内側片Ba1に接して覆われている。
図3に示すように押出ヘッド18は、未加硫ゴムA、B、C(図3では図示せず)の押出方向前方に位置する押出口金(以下口金という)20を備え、前述した各押出機本体12、14、16の押出し出口から口金20に向かう未加硫ゴムA、B、Cの流路22a、22b、22cを有し、流路22a、22b、22cの終端と口金20前方位置との間に未加硫ゴムA、B、Cそれぞれが所定断面形状をもつ未加硫ゴム部材19を形成するための未加硫ゴム部材形成手段24を着脱自在に収容する。
なお、未加硫ゴム部材19は口金20より図3の矢印F方向に押出される。
図4に示すように、流路形成金型32は、未加硫ゴム部材19の断面長手方向に沿って細長に形成された主ゴム流路34を備え、主ゴム流路34は図面右側(矢印R方向側)が未加硫ゴムAの流れる流路34a、中央が未加硫ゴムBの流れる流路34b、図面左側(矢印L方向側)が未加硫ゴムCの流れる流路34cとなっている。
さらに、主ゴム流路34には、第2の傾斜面38の図面左側に第4の傾斜面46、第2の逆傾斜面48、第3の逆傾斜面50、及び第4の逆傾斜面52が形成されている。
先ず、未加硫ゴムA、B、Cが各押出機本体12、14、16にて押出ヘッド18に向け送り出され、未加硫ゴムAは流路22aを介して流路34aへ流れ込み、未加硫ゴムBは流路22bを介して流路34bへ流れ込み、未加硫ゴムCは流路22cを介して流路34cへ流れ込む。また、未加硫ゴムBの一部分は、補助ゴム流路44へ流れ込む。
このため、矢印R方向側では未加硫ゴムAが、矢印L方向側では未加硫ゴムCが、中央部分では未加硫ゴムBが口金20を介して押し出されることになる。
未加硫ゴムBは、主ゴム流路34の第2の傾斜面38、第4の傾斜面46、平行壁部分54、第2の逆傾斜面48、第3の逆傾斜面50、平行壁56、及び第5の逆傾斜面58に沿って口金側へ流れ(図4では紙面表側から裏側へ、図5では矢印A方向)、サイドウォールゴム層部分を形成する。
このように、本実施形態の未加硫ゴム押出装置10を用いることにより、図2の断面図で示すような3種類の未加硫ゴムからなる未加硫ゴム部材19を1工程で成型することができる。
また、未加硫ゴム部材19には、従来例のようなゴムシートの貼り付けによる表面段差が無いので、ベアを発生する虞もない。
上記実施形態では、未加硫ゴムCを用いた未加硫ゴム部材19を形成する例を示したが、未加硫ゴム部材19はゴムチェーファーを形成するための未加硫ゴムA、及びサイドウォールゴム層を形成するための未加硫ゴムBのみであっても良い。

Claims (3)
- 第1の未加硫ゴムを押し出す第1の押出装置本体と、第2の未加硫ゴムを押し出す第2の押出装置本体と、第1の押出装置本体の先端部と第2の押出装置本体の先端とを連結する押出ヘッドと、押出ヘッド先端部にて前記第1の未加硫ゴム及び前記第2の未加硫ゴムを口金に向けて導き出す流路形成金型と、を有し、前記押出ゴム部材を押出方向に直角な断面で見たときに、前記第1の未加硫ゴムに第2の未加硫ゴムの一部分が侵入し、侵入した第2の未加硫ゴムの侵入方向とは交差する方向の両側に前記第1の未加硫ゴムの一部分が配置された断面形状を有する押出ゴム部材を押出成型する未加硫ゴム押出装置であって、
前記流路形成金型は、前記口金に向けて前記第1の未加硫ゴムを通過させる第1の流路と、前記第1の流路と並行して設けられ前記口金に向けて前記第2の未加硫ゴムを通過させる第2の流路と、前記第2の流路の側壁に開口して前記第2の流路を通過する前記第2の未加硫ゴムの側面に向けて前記第1の未加硫ゴムを流出させる第3の流路とを備え、
前記第1の流路を流れる前記第1の未加硫ゴムの一部に前記第3の流路から流出した前記第1の未加硫ゴムを連結させると共に、前記第1の流路を流れる前記第1の未加硫ゴムの一部分と前記第3の流路から流出した前記第1の未加硫ゴムとで前記第2の未加硫ゴムの一部分を挟み込ませる未加硫ゴム押出装置。 - 前記第3の流路は、前記第2の流路に対して直角方向に前記第1の未加硫ゴムを流出させる請求項1に記載の未加硫ゴム押出装置。
- 第1の未加硫ゴムに第2の未加硫ゴムの一部分が侵入し、侵入した第2の未加硫ゴムの侵入方向とは交差する方向の両側に前記第1の未加硫ゴムの一部分が配置された断面形状を有する押出ゴム部材を押出装置を用いて押出成型する未加硫ゴムの製造方法であって、
押出装置の口金に向けて流れる前記第2の未加硫ゴムの側面に向けて前記第2の未加硫ゴムの流れ方向とは交差する方向から前記第1の未加硫ゴムを流出させて、前記口金に向けて流れる前記第1の未加硫ゴムの一部に、前記第2の未加硫ゴムの流れ方向とは交差する方向から流出した前記第1の未加硫ゴムを連結させると共に、前記口金に向けて流れる前記第1の未加硫ゴムの一部分と前記第2の未加硫ゴムの流れ方向とは交差する方向から流出させた前記第1の未加硫ゴムとで前記第2の未加硫ゴムの一部分を挟み込ませる未加硫ゴムの製造方法。
