Description
Claims (5)
- 複数のローラによりループ状に張架され、像担持体から一次転写されたトナー画像を二次転写位置に搬送する中間転写ベルトと、
前記中間転写ベルトに対向して配置され、前記像担持体に形成するトナー画像の濃度を制御するために、前記中間転写ベルトに一次転写されたトナー画像の濃度を検出する濃度検出部と、
前記中間転写ベルトに一次転写されたトナー画像の搬送方向において、前記濃度検出部に隣接して配置され、前記中間転写ベルトに一次転写されたトナー画像に電荷を付与して、該トナー画像の帯電量のばらつきを低減する二次転写前帯電部と、
前記中間転写ベルトを張架する複数のローラのひとつであって、前記二次転写前帯電部がトナー画像に電荷を付与するときに、前記中間転写ベルトを挟んで前記二次転写前帯電部に対向する対向ローラと、
前記濃度検出部がトナー画像の濃度を検出するときに、前記対向ローラを、前記中間転写ベルトを挟んで前記濃度検出部に対向する位置に移動させる移動部と、
を備えたことを特徴する画像形成装置。 - 前記対向ローラは、前記中間転写ベルトに対して従動する従動ローラであり、
前記移動部は、前記中間転写ベルトに対して平行に前記対向ローラを移動させる移動機構を備えた請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記濃度検出部の前記中間転写ベルトに対向する面を遮蔽するカバー部材と、
前記二次転写前帯電部がトナー画像に電荷を付与するときに、前記カバー部材を移動させて前記濃度検出部の前記中間転写ベルトに対向する面を遮蔽し、
前記濃度検出部がトナー画像の濃度を検出するときに、前記カバー部材を移動させて前記濃度検出部の前記中間転写ベルトに対向する面を開放する開閉部と、
を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記濃度検出部は、前記中間転写ベルトに転写されたトナー画像の搬送方向に直交する方向に沿って複数設けられ、
前記カバー部材は、前記複数の濃度検出部の中間転写ベルトに対向する面をすべて遮蔽する1つの部材を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記濃度検出部は、前記中間転写ベルトに転写されたトナー画像の搬送方向に直交する方向に沿って複数設けられ、
前記カバー部材は、前記複数の濃度検出部の中間転写ベルトに対向する面を個別に遮蔽する複数の部材を備え、
前記開閉部は、前記複数の部材を一括して遮蔽または開放する請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の画像形成装置。
