Description
Claims (6)
- 燃料電池の電極構造体を構成する電極層に対して、燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスとをそれぞれ供給するとともに、前記電極層における電極反応によって発電された電気を集電する燃料電池用セパレータであって、
導電性を有する素材から成形されて、前記燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスとを分離して混流を防止する平板状のセパレータ本体と、
所定の開口形状を有する多数の貫通孔が網目状かつ階段状に形成されたラスメタルであって、前記網目状かつ階段状の貫通孔がラスメタルの形成方向に対して左右方向にて所定のピッチだけオフセットしながら連続的に形成されるラスメタルから成形されて、前記セパレータ本体と前記電極層との間にて、前記燃料ガスまたは酸化剤ガスを前記電極層に供給するためのガス流路を形成するとともに、前記電極層における電極反応によって発電された電気を集電するコレクタと、
前記コレクタと前記電極層との間に設けられて導電性を有する繊維状のカーボン層とから構成したことを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータ。 - 請求項1に記載した燃料電池用セパレータにおいて、
前記電極層と前記コレクタとが接触する部位の接触面積は、前記セパレータ本体と前記コレクタとが接触する部位の接触面積以上であることを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータ。 - 前記ラスメタルを複数枚重ねて、前記コレクタを形成した請求項1または請求項2に記載した燃料電池用セパレータ。
- 前記複数枚重ねる各ラスメタルの表面積に対する貫通孔の開口面積の比率がそれぞれ異なる請求項3に記載した燃料電池用セパレータ。
- 前記コレクタは、前記供給される燃料ガスまたは酸化剤ガスの導通方向と、前記ラスメタルの形成方向とが一致した状態で、前記ガス流路を形成する請求項1または請求項2に記載した燃料電池用セパレータ。
- 前記コレクタの所定の開口形状は、六角形状である請求項1または請求項2に記載した燃料電池用セパレータ。
