Description
(1)溶接に必要な時間が短い。溶接箇所全体に同時にまたはほぼ同時にレーザー光を照射できるからである。
(2) 溶着強度が安定する。溶接箇所の一部、特に溶接の開始点・終了点付近に過剰なエネルギー供給することを防ぐことができ、また溶接箇所が濡れていた場合に溶接中の水滴の移動を防ぐことができるからである。
(3) 適切な容器の耐圧強度を提供できる。溶接箇所単位面積あたりに安定して一定のエネルギーを供給できるため、密封性と安全性を兼ね備えた溶着が得られるからである。
(4) 溶接装置の操作・安定稼動が容易になる。レーザースポットの移動機構または容器の回転機構といった複雑な可動部がなくなり、レーザー照射装置の上下動やコンベアによる容器の搬送といった単純な可動部だけで溶接が実施できるからである。さらに、レーザースポット光が溶接箇所全体を正確に移動するように機械部品位置・方向を調整する場合に比べ、溶接箇所全体にどのようにレーザー光が照射されるか観察しやすいため、容器の受光位置を調整しやすいからである。

Claims (10)
- レーザー溶接法によって、容器胴体と該容器胴体の口部に装着された蓋とを溶着して気密状態とした飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法において、
前記容器胴体は口部の外壁に口部の縁と平行に環状のリブを有し、前記蓋は縁に前記リブと密着部分を形成する環状のリングを有し、前記リブと前記リングとの密着部分が溶接予定個所となり、該溶接予定箇所となる密着部分の形状が、前記蓋を天面から見たときに環状の形状であり、かつ、
レーザー光を上方から下方に向けて照射し、該レーザー光の照射形状を前記溶接予定箇所の各方向での幅のうち最小の幅よりも大きい幅を有する領域状として、前記溶接予定箇所全体をほぼ同時に溶着する工程を有することを特徴とする飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。 - 前記溶接予定箇所全体を包含した領域にレーザー光を照射することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。
- 前記容器胴体に前記蓋が装着された飲料用又は食品用の容器が、回転及び/又は搬送されながら、レーザー光を照射されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。
- 前記容器の搬送が一定速度の連続搬送であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。
- 前記容器胴体に前記蓋が装着された飲料用又は食品用の容器が搬送されながらレーザー光を照射されるときに、前記容器が特定の位置範囲にある時間帯に限ってレーザー光が照射されることを特徴とする請求項3又は4に記載の飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。
- 前記容器胴体及び前記蓋が、プラスチック樹脂又は金属により形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、4又は5に記載の飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。
- 前記プラスチック樹脂がポリエチレンテレフタレートであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。
- 前記溶接予定箇所へのレーザー光の照射エネルギーを1平方ミリメートルあたり0.5〜2.1Jとすることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。
- 前記容器胴体及び前記蓋が、0.2mm以下の厚さのアルミニウムにより形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、4又は5に記載の飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。
- 前記溶接予定箇所へのレーザー光の照射エネルギーを1平方ミリメートルあたり17〜26Jとすることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の飲料用又は食品用の密封容器の製造方法。
