Description
Defect Management Area:TDMA)に記録し、記録された臨時欠陥情報を管理するための臨時欠陥管理情報をTDMAにさらに記録する。一レコーディングオペレーションの間に、記録後検証作業は、少なくとも1回、通常、複数回行われる。記録後検証作業の実行結果、得られた欠陥情報は、メモリ部3に臨時欠陥情報として一時保存される。レコーディングオペレーションが終了すれば、制御部2は、メモリ部3に保存された臨時欠陥情報を読み取って記録/再生部1に提供し、これら情報をディスク100に設けられたTDMAに記録することを命令する。
−アップデート領域B:1000ブロック、アップデートされるレコーディングオペレーションの回数=b、
−アップデート領域C:1000ブロック、アップデートされるレコーディングオペレーションの回数=c、
−接近情報領域のアップデート時点:a+b+c=30。
−接近情報領域の無い場合:a+b+c。

Claims (2)
- 少なくとも一つの記録層を備えた追記型ディスクへの接近時間を短縮させる方法であって、
前記追記型ディスクの接近情報領域から臨時管理情報が最後にアップデートされて記録された領域に関する位置情報を読み取る段階であって、前記臨時管理情報は臨時欠陥情報及び臨時欠陥管理情報を有し、前記臨時欠陥情報は欠陥領域の位置情報及び前記欠陥領域を代替する代替領域の位置情報を有し、前記臨時欠陥管理情報は、前記臨時欠陥情報が記録された位置を示す情報を有する、段階と、
前記接近情報領域から読み取られた位置情報を用いて、前記臨時管理情報が最後にアップデートされて記録された前記領域に関する位置を決定する段階と、
前記臨時管理情報における前記臨時欠陥情報を用いて欠陥管理を実行する段階と、
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 少なくとも一つの記録層を備えた追記型ディスクに情報を記録する方法において
臨時欠陥情報及び臨時欠陥管理情報を有する臨時管理情報が記録された少なくとも一つの臨時欠陥管理領域を有する前記追記型ディスクの接近情報領域に、前記臨時管理情報が最後にアップデートされて記録された領域に関する位置情報を記録する段階を含み、
前記臨時欠陥情報は欠陥領域の位置情報及び前記欠陥領域を代替する代替領域の位置情報を有し、前記臨時欠陥管理情報は、前記臨時欠陥情報が記録された位置を示す情報を有することを特徴とする記録方法。
