Description
(a)40〜70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と、
(b)5〜20重量パーセントのp−アラミド繊維と、
(c)結晶化度が少なくとも20%の10〜40重量パーセントのm−アラミド繊維と
を含んでなり、前記パーセンテージは成分(a)、(b)および(c)を基準とするものであるアークおよび火炎保護布帛および衣類に用いる糸に関する。
摩耗試験
ASTM D−3884−01「テキスタイル布帛の耐摩耗性についての標準ガイド(Standard Guide for Abrasion Resistance of Textile Fabrics )(ロータリプラットフォーム、ダブルヘッド法(Rotary Platform,Double Head Method))」に従って、本発明の布帛の摩耗性能を求める。
ASTM F−1959−99「布帛についての材料のアーク熱性能値を求めるための標準試験法(Standard Test Method for Determining the Arc Thermal Performance Value of Materials for Clothing)」に従って、本発明の布帛の耐アーク性を求める。本発明の布帛の耐アーク性は、好ましくは、opsy当たり1平方センチメートル当たり少なくとも0.8カロリー、より好ましくは少なくとも1.2カロリーである。
ASTM D−5034−95「布帛の破断強度および伸びについての標準試験法(Standard Test Method for Breaking Strength and Elongation of Fabrics)(グラブ試験(Grab Test))」に従って、本発明の布帛の耐グラブ性を求める。
ASTM G−125−00「ガス状酸化剤中での液体および固体材料の防火限界を測定するための標準試験方法(Standard Test Method for Measuring Liquid and Solid Material Fire Limits in Gaseous Oxidants)」に従って、本発明の布帛の限界酸素指数(LOI)を求める。
ASTM D−5587−03「台形手順による布帛の引裂きについての標準試験法(Standard Test Method for Tearing of Fabrics by Trapezoid Procedure)」に従って、本発明の布帛の引裂き抵抗を求める。
NFPA2112「突発的な火事に対する工業作業者の保護のための難燃性衣類についての規格(Standard on Flame Resistant Garments for Protection of Industrial Personnel Against Flash Fire)」に従って、本発明の布帛の熱保護性能を求める。
ASTM D−6413−99「テキスタイルの難燃性についての標準試験法(垂直法)(Standard Test Method for Flame Resistance of Textiles (Vertical Method))」に従って、本発明の布帛の炭化長を求める。
ASTM G125/D2863より
ASTM D2863の条件下で、最初は室温で材料の火炎燃焼をサポートする酸素と窒素の混合物中、体積パーセントとして表される最低酸素濃度。
収縮率は、1回もしくはそれ以上の洗浄サイクル後の布帛の単位面積を物理的に測定することにより求める。サイクルとは、140°Fの水温で20分間にわたる工業洗濯機での布帛の洗浄のことである。
ノーメックス(Nomex)(登録商標)タイプ450、ケブラー(Kevlar)(登録商標)29、モダクリルおよびナイロンの密着混紡のリング精紡糸の縦糸と横糸の両方を有するようにして、熱保護耐久性布帛を作製した。ノーメックス(Nomex)(登録商標)タイプ450は、結晶化度が33〜37%のポリ(m−フェニレンイソフタルアミド)(MPD−I)、モダクリルは、アンチモン6.8%のACN/ポリ塩化ビニリデンコポリマー(プロテックス(Protex)(登録商標)Cとして知られている)、ケブラー(Kevlar)(登録商標)29は、ポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)(PPD−T)である。
ノーメックス(Nomex)(登録商標)タイプ455、ケブラー(Kevlar)(登録商標)29、モダクリルおよびナイロンの密着混紡のリング精紡糸の縦糸と横糸の両方を有するようにして、熱保護耐久性布帛を作製した。ノーメックス(Nomex)(登録商標)タイプ455は、結晶化度が5〜10%のポリ(m−フェニレンイソフタルアミド)(MPD−I)、モダクリルは、アンチモン6.8%のACN/ポリ塩化ビニリデンコポリマー(プロテックス(Protex)(登録商標)Cとして知られている)、ケブラー(Kevlar)(登録商標)29は、ポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)(PPD−T)、P140は帯電防止繊維である。
20%ノーメックス(Nomex)(登録商標)タイプN303、10%ケブラー(Kevlar)(登録商標)29、60%モダクリルおよび10%ナイロンの密着混紡のリング精紡糸の縦糸と横糸の両方を有するようにして、熱保護耐久性布帛を作製した。ノーメックス(Nomex)(登録商標)タイプN303は、結晶化度が33〜37%の92%ポリ(m−フェニレンイソフタルアミド)(MPD−I)、5%ケブラー(Kevlar)(登録商標)29および3%P140(帯電防止のために炭素で塗膜したナイロン)、モダクリルは、アンチモン2%のACN/ポリ塩化ビニリデンコポリマー、ケブラー(Kevlar)(登録商標)29は、ポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)(PPD−T)であり、用いたナイロンは、ポリヘキサメチレンジアジパミドであった。
1. (a)40〜70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と、
(b)5〜20重量パーセントのp−アラミド繊維と、
(c)結晶化度が少なくとも20%の10〜40重量パーセントのm−アラミド繊維とを含んでなり、前記パーセンテージは成分(a)、(b)および(c)を基準とするものであるアークおよび火炎保護に用いる糸。
2. (a)55〜65重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と、
(b)5〜15重量パーセントのp−アラミド繊維と、
(c)20〜35重量パーセントのm−アラミド繊維と
を含んでなる上記1に記載の糸。
3. (d)耐摩耗性繊維をさらに含有する上記1に記載の糸。
4. 前記耐摩耗性繊維が、成分(a)、(b)、(c)および(d)を基準として2〜15重量パーセントの量で存在している上記3に記載の糸。
5. 前記耐摩耗性繊維が、ナイロンである上記3に記載の糸。
6. 帯電防止成分をさらに含有する上記1に記載の糸。
7. 前記帯電防止成分が、糸全体の1〜5重量パーセントの量で存在している上記6に記載の糸。
8. 前記帯電防止成分が、炭素または金属繊維を含んでなる上記6に記載の糸。
9. 前記帯電防止成分が、炭素を含んでなる上記8に記載の糸。
10. 前記m−アラミド繊維が、20〜50%の範囲の結晶化度を有している上記1に記載の糸。
11. 10回の洗浄サイクル後の収縮率が約0%である上記1に記載の糸。
12. 糸を含んでなるアークおよび火炎保護に用いるのに好適な布帛であって、さらに該糸が (a)40〜70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と、
(b)5〜20重量パーセントのp−アラミド繊維と、
(c)結晶化度が少なくとも20%の10〜40重量パーセントのm−アラミド繊維とを含んでなり、前記パーセンテージは成分(a)、(b)および(c)を基準とするものである布帛。
13. 前記糸が、
(a)55〜65重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と、
(b)5〜15重量パーセントのp−アラミド繊維と、
(c)20〜35重量パーセントのm−アラミド繊維と
を含んでなる上記12に記載の布帛。
14. (d)耐摩耗性繊維をさらに含んでなる上記12に記載の布帛。
15. 前記耐摩耗性繊維が、成分(a)、(b)、(c)および(d)を基準として2〜15重量パーセントの量で存在している上記14に記載の布帛。
16. 前記耐摩耗性繊維が、ナイロンである上記14に記載の布帛。
17. 帯電防止成分をさらに含有する上記12に記載の布帛。
18. ASTM D−6413−99に従った炭化長が、6インチ未満である上記12に記載の布帛。
19. ASTM F−1959−99による耐アーク性が、opsy当たり1平方センチメートル当たり少なくとも0.8カロリーである上記12記載の布帛。
20. 前記耐アーク性が、opsy当たり1平方センチメートル当たり少なくとも1.2カロリーである上記19記載の布帛。
21. 前記m−アラミド繊維が、20〜50%の範囲の結晶化度を有している上記12に記載の布帛。
22. 10回の洗浄サイクル後の収縮率が0%である上記1に記載の糸。
23. (a)40〜70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と、
(b)5〜20重量パーセントのp−アラミド繊維と、
(c)結晶化度が少なくとも20%の10〜40重量パーセントのm−アラミド繊維とを含んでなり、前記パーセンテージは成分(a)、(b)および(c)を基準とするものであるアークおよび火炎保護に用いるのに好適な衣類。
Claims (3)
- (a)40〜70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と、
(b)5〜20重量パーセントのp−アラミド繊維と、
(c)結晶化度が少なくとも20%の10〜40重量パーセントのm−アラミド繊維とを含んでなり、前記パーセンテージは成分(a)、(b)および(c)を基準とするものであるアークおよび火炎保護に用いる紡績糸。 - 紡績糸を含んでなるアークおよび火炎保護に用いるのに好適な布帛であって、さらに該糸が
(a)40〜70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と、
(b)5〜20重量パーセントのp−アラミド繊維と、
(c)結晶化度が少なくとも20%の10〜40重量パーセントのm−アラミド繊維とを含んでなり、前記パーセンテージは成分(a)、(b)および(c)を基準とするものである布帛。 - 紡績糸を含んでなるアークおよび火炎保護に用いるのに好適な衣類であって、さらに該糸が
(a)40〜70重量パーセントのモダクリル繊維と、
(b)5〜20重量パーセントのp−アラミド繊維と、
(c)結晶化度が少なくとも20%の10〜40重量パーセントのm−アラミド繊維とを含んでなり、前記パーセンテージは成分(a)、(b)および(c)を基準とするものである衣類。
