Claims (4)
- 液晶ディスプレイモジュールと、該液晶ディスプレイモジュールに光を照射するバックライト光源と、該バックライト光源の動作を制御するバックライト制御部とを有するディスプレイ装置であって、
前記液晶ディスプレイモジュールとは別個に該液晶ディスプレイモジュールと同じガラス基板上に形成され、周辺光を検知して該周辺光の強さに依存した光電流を出力する光センサと、
三端子ダイオードである前記光センサのゲート電極へ該光センサが所定量の光電流を出力するための電圧を供給する電圧供給手段と、
前記バックライト制御部から前記バックライト光源の作動又は非作動を示す信号を受信し、該信号に応じて前記光センサへ供給する電圧を変更するよう前記電圧供給手段を制御する供給電圧制御手段とを有し、
前記供給電圧制御手段は、前記バックライト光源が作動中である場合は第1の電圧値を有する電圧が前記光センサへ供給され、前記バックライト光源が非作動である場合は前記第1の電圧値とは異なる第2の電圧値を有する電圧が前記光センサへ供給されるよう前記電圧供給手段を制御し、
前記第2の電圧値は、前記光センサが最大光電流を出力可能な電圧値であり、
前記第1の電圧値は、前記光センサが前記最大光電流よりも低い光電流を出力可能な電圧値である、ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記光センサは、低温ポリシリコン・ラテラル型PINフォトダイオード又はアモルファスシリコンダイオードである、請求項1記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 透過型又は半透過型の液晶ディスプレイである、請求項1又は2記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 請求項1乃至3のうちいずれか一項記載のディスプレイ装置を備える電子機器。
