Description
本出願は、「注射器用デュアルマテリアルプランジャチップ」と題された、2005年8月29日出願の、米国仮特許出願番号60/712,324の利益を請求するものであり、その全体は参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は、一般には、注射器(シリンジ)用のプランジャチップ(プランジャの先端部)に関するものであり、より詳細には、注射器と共に用いるための、ソリッド(中実)コアを有するデュアルマテリアルプランジャチップ(2種類の材料のプランジャチップ)に関するものである。
簡潔に言うと、本発明は、注射器プランジャの遠位端に配置されるプランジャチップに向けられる。前記プランジャチップは、注射筒の内面と滑り密閉係合する。前記注射筒の内面は、所定の内径を有する。前記プランジャチップは、略剛体材料で構成されたコアを有し、これは前記プランジャの遠位端に固定される。一連の複数の周方向***部が、前記コアの周囲に且つ前記コアから半径方向外側に延在する。前記***部の外径は、前記プランジャチップが前記内面と摺動可能に係合される時に前記プランジャチップの前記一連の周方向***部のみが前記内面に接触するように、前記注射筒の内径よりも大きい。
以下の説明において、ある種の用語は便宜的な目的でのみ用いられ、これは限定的なものではない。“右”、“左”、“下”、“上”との語は、参照される図面における方向を指定するものである。“内側”、“外側”との語は、それぞれ本発明に従うプランジャチップ及びその指定された部分の幾何学的中心に向かう方向、それから離れる方向を意味する。当該用語は、上記の語、その派生語及び同様の意味の語を含む。
Claims (5)
- アクチュエータロッドによって推進され、注射筒の内面と滑り密閉係合するプランジャチップにおいて、
プランジャの遠位端に固定されるコアであって、第1のフランジ付き端部と、前記第1のフランジ付き端部とは反対側の第2のフランジ付き端部と、前記第1のフランジ付き端部と前記第2のフランジ付き端部との間に延在するテーパー状の環状の側壁であり、前記第1のフランジ付き端部側の近位の直径と前記第2のフランジ付き端部側の遠位の直径とを有し、前記近位の直径は前記遠位の直径よりも大きいテーパー状の環状の側壁と、を有し、当該コアは略剛体材料で構成されるコアと、
前記第1のフランジ付き端部側において前記側壁に隣接するネジであって、当該ネジの最大直径は前記側壁の最小直径よりも大きいネジと、
弾性スリーブであって、当該弾性スリーブが前記第1及び第2のフランジ付き端部に隣接するように且つ前記第1及び第2のフランジ付き端部が少なくとも部分的に露出するように、前記側壁を取り囲む弾性スリーブと、
を有するプランジャチップ。 - 前記ネジは、前記プランジャ上の雄ネジに固定されるように前記コア内に延在する雌ネジである請求項1に記載のプランジャチップ。
- 前記コアは更に、前記コアの前記第1のフランジ付き端部から軸方向に延在し且つ前記ネジを内包する延長部を有する請求項1に記載のプランジャチップ。
- 前記ネジは、前記コアの前記第1のフランジ付き端部から軸方向に延在する雄ネジである請求項1に記載のプランジャチップ。
- 前記側壁は、前記弾性スリーブの保持を強化する複数の窪みを有する請求項1に記載のプランジャチップ。
