Claims (6)
- 液体を吐出するための複数の吐出エネルギー発生手段および複数の液流路を有する本体部と、前記複数の液流路に連通する複数のノズルを有するノズルプレートと、を備える液体吐出ヘッドに用いられるノズルプレートの製造方法において、
ビッカース硬度が100以上500以下の材料からなり、プレス工具を嵌挿させるための開口を持たない、平板状の雌型上に、ノズルプレートを形成するためのノズルとなる穴を形成する前の被加工材料を用意し、水平方向の位置決めをする工程と、
前記被加工材料を肉厚方向に拘束せず、水平方向に拘束した状態で、先端部が断面円形でストレート状の前記プレス工具の前記先端部が前記被加工材料を押圧して前記被加工材料の一部を排除し、排除された被加工材料の一部が、前記プレス工具が前記被加工材料と前記平板状の雌型とを押圧することで前記平板状の雌型に形成される凹部に肉逃げするように、前記被加工材料に対して前記プレス工具を移動させる工程と、
前記排除された被加工材料の一部が前記凹部に肉逃げすることで生じたバリを除去する工程と、
を有することを特徴とするノズルプレートの製造方法。 - 少なくとも一対の位置決めピンを被加工材料の位置決め穴に嵌合させることで、前記平板状の雌型上に前記被加工材料を位置決めし、水平方向に拘束することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。
- 前記平板状の雌型はニッケルまたは真鍮から形成されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。
- 前記被加工材料はニッケルから形成されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。
- 前記被加工材料を研磨ディスクにより研磨することにより前記バリを除去することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。
- 前記被加工材料に電圧を印加することにより、前記被加工材料の前記バリの部分を溶解させて前記バリを除去することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。
