Description

本発明は、データ放送を受信してコンテンツを提示する受信装置及び受信方法に関する。
近年、情報技術の発展を背景に、衛星波、地上波、ケーブルなどによるデジタル放送システムの開発が急速に進んできている。放送されるコンテンツがデジタル情報となることで、視聴者は、高品質のマルチメディア情報を受信して利用することができるようになる。
すなわち、デジタルデータ放送のコンテンツは、実際にユーザが操作して遷移させることで、画面上に描画される。しかしながら、そのような操作を必要とするために、所望のコンテンツを視聴することができるまでに時間を要する場合がある。
なお、本発明に係るデジタル放送受信機に関する先行技術文献として、下記特許文献１は、第１階層のニュースガイドの選択項目を選択すると、第１階層の表示に代えて、文字放送のカテゴリにより構成される第２階層と、第２階層の文字放送のカテゴリに含まれる複数のコンテンツにより構成される第３階層と、を同時に表示させる電子機器について開示している。
また、下記特許文献２は、チャンネル切換前の第１のチャンネルの映像とチャンネル切換後の第２のチャンネルの映像との合成画像を所定期間表示するようにした受信装置について開示している。
また、下記特許文献３は、ジョグダイアルスイッチの回転方向及び回転量並びに押下を検出し、回転方向及び回転量の検出結果とＬＣＤ上のフォーカス移動操作を対応付け、この対応に従って機器の動作を行わせ及び対応付けを変更する携帯型情報処理装置について開示し、特に、フォーカスされているメニュー項目に下位メニューがあればその下位メニューを表示する点について記載している。

本発明は、上述した問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的は、ユーザがコンテンツの切り替え（決定）操作をする前にコンテンツ内容を予め提示することで、ユーザが事前の確認により所望のコンテンツの視聴を早期に開始することができるようにした受信装置及び受信方法を提供することにある。
上記目的を達成するために、本発明によれば、データ放送を受信してコンテンツを表示する表示手段と、コンテンツの項目をリスト表示するリスト表示手段と、コンテンツが表示される画面にプレビューコンテンツを表示するプレビュー表示手段と、コンテンツの項目に対するポインタの移動に連動して、プレビューコンテンツの内容を、ポインタで選択されている項目に応じた遷移先のコンテンツに切り替える切替手段と、前記ポインタで選択されている項目の周辺の項目に応じた遷移先のプレビューコンテンツを表示する表示制御手段とを具備することを特徴とする受信装置が提供される。
一つの好適な態様では、前記プレビュー表示手段は、コンテンツとプレビューコンテンツを同時に表示する。
更に好ましくは、前記表示制御手段は、前記ポインタで選択されている項目に隣接した項目に応じた遷移先のプレビューコンテンツを表示する。
一つの好適な態様では、前記切替手段は、ポインタの移動が検出されてから一定の時間が経過した後に、プレビューコンテンツの内容を切り替える。
一つの好適な態様では、プレビューコンテンツのＵＲＩを記憶する手段と、記憶されたＵＲＩを読み出す手段と、コンテンツの内容を、読み出されたＵＲＩに該当するコンテンツに遷移させる手段と、を具備する。
一つの好適な態様では、前記切替手段は、ポインタの移動が可能な全範囲において自動的にポインタを移動させるとともに、該自動的なポインタの移動に連動してプレビューコンテンツの内容を切り替える自動プレビュー制御を実行する。
更に好ましくは、前記切替手段は、ポインタの移動を伴うことなくコンテンツの内容を遷移させるための釦が設けられている場合に、該自動プレビュー制御において、該釦操作による遷移先のコンテンツも含めてプレビューコンテンツの内容を切り替える。
また好ましくは、プレビューコンテンツの内容が切り替えられている際に、コンテンツの内容を現在のプレビューコンテンツに遷移させる手段を更に具備する。
また、本発明によれば、表示手段が、データ放送を受信してコンテンツを表示するステップと、リスト表示手段が、コンテンツの項目をリスト表示するステップと、プレビュー表示手段が、コンテンツが表示される画面にプレビューコンテンツを表示するステップと、切替手段が、コンテンツの項目に対するポインタの移動に連動して、プレビューコンテンツの内容を、ポインタで選択されている項目に応じた遷移先のコンテンツに切り替えるステップと、表示制御手段が、前記ポインタで選択されている項目の周辺の項目に応じた遷移先のプレビューコンテンツを表示するステップと、を具備することを特徴とする受信方法が提供される。
本発明による受信装置及び受信方法によれば、ユーザは、コンテンツの切り替え（決定）操作をする前に、コンテンツの内容を確認することができる。
特に、ポインタの移動が検出されてから一定の時間が経過した時点で、プレビューコンテンツの内容を切り替えるようにすることで、ユーザの釦操作が素早い場合において、描画処理を削減することができる。
また、プレビューコンテンツのＵＲＩを記憶して読み出すことができるようにすることで、視聴者は、プレビューで気に入ったコンテンツを素早く視聴することができる。
また、プレビューコンテンツの内容を順次切り替える自動プレビュー制御を備えることで、ユーザは、１回の釦操作で連続的にプレビューを表示させることが可能となる。
また、フォーカスの移動を伴うことなく提示中コンテンツの内容を遷移させるための釦が設けられている場合、自動プレビュー制御において、当該釦操作による遷移先のコンテンツも含めて、プレビューコンテンツの内容を順次切り替えるようにすることで、ユーザは１回の釦操作で全てのプレビューを連続的に表示させることが可能になる。
また、プレビューコンテンツの内容が順次切り替えられている際に、提示中コンテンツの内容を現在のプレビューコンテンツに遷移させる手段を設けることで、ユーザは、プレビューで気に入ったコンテンツを素早く視聴することができる。
以下、添付図面を参照して本発明の実施形態について説明する。図１は、本発明によるデジタル放送受信機が適用されるシステムのハードウェア構成の一例を示すブロック図である。同図において、符号１０はアンテナ、符号１２はリモコン、符号１４はスピーカ、符号１６はディスプレイ、符号２０はデジタル放送受信機、をそれぞれ示す。なお、ユーザの操作手段として、リモコン１２の代わりにタッチパネル等を用いてもよい。
また、図１に示されるように、デジタル放送受信機２０は、その内部に、チューナ２２、復調器２４、ＴＳ（transport stream）デコーダ２６、音声デコーダ２８、映像デコーダ３０、提示処理部３２、Ｉ／Ｏ（input/output）アダプタ３４、ＲＡＭ（random access memory）３６、ＲＯＭ（read only memory）３８、ＣＰＵ（central processing unit）４０及びモデム４２を備える。
図１において、データ放送のコンテンツは、アンテナ１０により受信され、チューナ２２、復調器２４及びＴＳデコーダ２６にて処理された後、ＢＭＬ（broadcast markup language）文書としてＲＡＭ３６に記憶される。なお、ＢＭＬは、データ画面を記述する言語である。
図２は、リモコン１２の一例を示す図である。同図に示されるように、データ放送においては、１０キー、上下左右矢印釦（カーソル釦）に加え、「ｄ」釦、「戻る」釦、「決定」釦、カラー釦（青・赤・緑・黄）等が使用される。
図３は、提示中コンテンツ及びプレビューコンテンツの画面表示例を説明するための図である。同図に示されるように、ディスプレイ１６には、提示中コンテンツ５０が表示されるとともにプレビューコンテンツ５２が同時に表示される。このプレビューコンテンツ５２は、提示中コンテンツにおいて、フォーカスされた釦（ＢＭＬ文書のｐ要素、object要素）が選択されたとき、すなわちリモコンの決定釦が押下されたときに遷移する遷移先コンテンツを表示するものである。
図３の例では、「ニュース」釦がフォーカスされているため、「ニュース」釦が選択されたときの遷移先コンテンツがプレビューコンテンツ５２として表示されている。なお、ＢＭＬ文書において、ｐ要素は、テキストの表示のための要素であり、object要素は、モノメディアの表示のための要素である。
図４は、フォーカスの移動に伴うプレビューコンテンツの切り替えについて説明するための図である。図３の状態において、リモコン１２における矢印釦が押下されることで、図４に示されるように、「ニュース」釦から「気象情報」釦へとフォーカスが移動した場合には、新たにフォーカスされた「気象情報」釦が選択されたときに遷移する遷移先コンテンツがプレビューコンテンツ５２として表示される。
このような処理は、ＣＰＵ４０が、提示中コンテンツにおける釦に対するフォーカスの移動に連動して、プレビューコンテンツの内容を、フォーカスされた釦が選択された（決定された）際に遷移する遷移先コンテンツに切り替える制御を実行することにより、実現される。
ところで、ユーザの釦操作が素早い場合には、描画処理の負荷が大きくなる。そこで、フォーカスの移動が検出されてから一定の時間が経過した時点で、プレビューコンテンツの内容を切り替えるようにすることが好ましい。
具体的には、ＣＰＵ４０が、以下（１）〜（３）の手順に従って制御を行う。
（１）フォーカスの移動を検出する。
（２）タイマを起動する。
（３）タイムアウト後にプレビューコンテンツの切り替えを行う。
図５は、プレビューコンテンツの操作のためのＧＵＩ（graphical user interface）を表す画面表示の一例を示す図である。この例では、タッチパネル画面やリモコンに、プレビューコンテンツのＵＲＩ（uniform resource identifier）をＲＡＭ３６に記憶させるための「Save Preview」釦５４が備えられる。ＣＰＵ４０は、「Save Preview」釦５４が押下されたことを検出すると、ＢＭＬ文書から現在のプレビューコンテンツのＵＲＩを取得し、それをＲＡＭ３６に格納する。
そして、図５の例では、タッチパネル画面やリモコンに、ＲＡＭ３６に記憶されたＵＲＩを読み出すための「Load Preview」釦５６が備えられる。ＣＰＵ４０は、「Load Preview」釦５６が押下されたことを検出すると、ＲＡＭ３６に記憶されたＵＲＩを読み出し、提示中コンテンツの内容を、読み出されたＵＲＩに該当するコンテンツに遷移させる。かくして、視聴者は、プレビューで気に入ったコンテンツを素早く視聴することができるようになる。
また、図５の例では、タッチパネル画面やリモコンに、フォーカス移動によるプレビューコンテンツの切り替えを自動で行わせるための「Auto Preview」釦５８が備えられている。ＣＰＵ４０は、「Auto Preview」釦５８が押下されたことを検出すると、フォーカスされ得る釦に順番にフォーカスを当てていく。そして、ＣＰＵ４０は、フォーカス移動後にプレビューコンテンツを切り替える。なお、フォーカスされ得る釦の検出は、ＢＭＬ文書内においてnav-index特性が付与されている要素か否かを判定することにより実行される。
このように、フォーカスの移動が可能な全範囲において自動的にフォーカスを順次移動させるとともに自動的なフォーカスの移動に連動してプレビューコンテンツの内容を順次切り替える自動プレビューを行うことで、ユーザは、１回の釦操作で連続的にプレビューを表示させることができる。
また、図５の例では、タッチパネル画面やリモコンに、自動プレビュー中のコンテンツに遷移させるための「Enter Preview」釦６０が備えられている。そして、ＣＰＵ４０は、自動プレビューにより、プレビューコンテンツの内容が順次切り替えられている際に、「Enter Preview」釦６０が押下されたことを検出すると、提示中コンテンツの内容を現在のプレビューコンテンツに遷移させる処理を実行する。かくして、ユーザは、プレビューで気に入ったコンテンツを素早く視聴することができる。
図６は、プレビューコンテンツの操作のためのＧＵＩを表す画面表示の他の例を示す図である。フォーカスの移動を伴うことなく提示中コンテンツの内容を遷移させるための釦が設けられる場合がある。その場合には、自動プレビューにおいて、当該釦操作による遷移先のコンテンツも含めて、プレビューコンテンツの内容を順次切り替えることが好ましい。
すなわち、ＣＰＵ４０は、「Auto Preview」釦５８が押下されたことを検出すると、「ｄ」釦、カラー釦（赤・青・黄・緑）等の中から、コンテンツの切り替え（遷移）に対応している釦を検出する。そして、ＣＰＵ４０は、フォーカスされ得る釦に加え、当該検出された釦をもコンテンツプレビューの対象とする。
図６の例では、赤色釦及び青色釦がコンテンツの切り替え（遷移）に対応する釦とされている。そして、赤色釦及び青色釦による遷移先のコンテンツも自動プレビューの対象とされる。また、図６の例では、プレビューコンテンツの近隣に、遷移するための釦（“赤”）６２が表示されている。
また、図６の例においても、自動プレビュー中のコンテンツに遷移させるための「Enter Preview」釦６０が備えられている。そして、前述のように、ＣＰＵ４０は、自動プレビューにより、プレビューコンテンツの内容が順次切り替えられている際に、「Enter Preview」釦６０が押下されたことを検出すると、提示中コンテンツの内容を現在のプレビューコンテンツに遷移させる処理を実行する。
図７は、本発明の更に他の実施形態を説明するための図である。この実施形態では、現在フォーカスされている項目と、その項目の前後の項目に対応するコンテンツを分割画面に表示している。すなわち、「スポーツ情報」釦に対応する提示中コンテンツ５０が表示されるとともに、その提示中コンテンツ５０においてフォーカスされている「気象情報」釦に対応するプレビューコンテンツ５２ａが表示されている。本実施形態では、さらに、それらに加えて、「気象情報」釦の前後に存在する「ニュース」釦及び「グルメ情報」釦に対応するコンテンツがプレビューコンテンツ５２ｂ及びプレビューコンテンツ５２ｃとして、それぞれ、分割画面表示されている。このようなプレビューコンテンツの表示によれば、ユーザは、更に迅速に所望のコンテンツの視聴に到達することができる。

Claims (7)

  1. データ放送を受信してコンテンツを表示する表示手段と、
    コンテンツの項目をリスト表示するリスト表示手段と、
    プレビューコンテンツを表示するプレビュー表示手段と、
    コンテンツの項目に対するフォーカスの移動に連動して、プレビューコンテンツの内容を、フォーカスされている項目に応じたコンテンツに切り替える切替手段と、
    分割された画面の１画面にコンテンツの項目のリスト及び提示中のコンテンツを表示し、他の分割された３画面に前記フォーカスされている項目に応じたコンテンツのプレビューコンテンツ及び前記フォーカスされている項目の前後の項目に応じたコンテンツのプレビューコンテンツを表示する表示制御手段とを具備することを特徴とする受信装置。
  2. 前記切替手段は、前記フォーカスの移動が検出されてから一定の時間が経過した後に、前記プレビューコンテンツの内容を切り替えることを特徴とする請求項１に記載の受信装置。
  3. プレビューコンテンツのＵＲＩを記憶する手段と、
    記憶されたＵＲＩを読み出す手段と、
    コンテンツの内容を、読み出されたＵＲＩに該当するコンテンツに遷移させる手段と、
    を具備することを特徴とする請求項１に記載の受信装置。
  4. 前記切替手段は、フォーカスの移動が可能な全範囲において自動的にフォーカスを移動させるとともに、該自動的なフォーカスの移動に連動してプレビューコンテンツの内容を切り替える自動プレビュー制御を実行することを特徴とする請求項１に記載の受信装置。
  5. 前記自動プレビュー制御において、自動プレビューが選択されたことを検出した後に、自動的にフォーカスされるプレビューコンテンツも含めてプレビューコンテンツの内容を切り替えることを特徴とする請求項４に記載の受信装置。
  6. プレビューコンテンツの内容が切り替えられる際に、提示中のコンテンツの内容を現在のプレビューコンテンツに遷移させる手段を更に具備することを特徴とする請求項４に記載の受信装置。
  7. 表示手段が、データ放送を受信してコンテンツを表示するステップと、
    リスト表示手段が、コンテンツの項目をリスト表示するステップと、
    プレビュー表示手段が、プレビューコンテンツを表示するステップと、
    切替手段が、コンテンツの項目に対するフォーカスの移動に連動して、プレビューコンテンツの内容を、フォーカスされている項目に応じたコンテンツに切り替えるステップと、
    表示制御手段が、分割された画面の１画面にコンテンツの項目のリスト及び提示中のコンテンツを表示し、他の分割された３画面に前記フォーカスされている項目に応じたコンテンツのプレビューコンテンツ及び前記フォーカスされている項目の前後の項目に応じたコンテンツのプレビューコンテンツを表示するステップと、
    を含むことを特徴とする受信方法。
