It has been. In particular, in a remote control equipped with a VFD (fluorescent display tube) that displays time, set value, etc., a filament heating voltage of about 2.4V, a grit, and an anode voltage of about 30V are required as a driving power source for the provided fluorescent display tube. Therefore, a DC / DC converter is required to generate the voltage inside the remote controller from the voltage (about 14V to 16V) supplied from the main unit to the remote controller.
[0003]
Since the minimum current required for the filament to operate is about 250 mA, a switching regulator type DC / DC converter is generally used to obtain a stabilized voltage with high efficiency. Since such a switching regulator changes the duty ratio according to the load, if the switching is continued while the output is short-circuited or the switching is continued under a load condition more than assumed, the idle period becomes 0%, that is, Since the switching element is turned on all the time, the switching element generates heat, and deterioration or burnout occurs. Therefore, when the output is short-circuited, the short-circuit protection function for stopping the switching operation and the ratio of the pause period to the switching cycle of the switching element in order to protect the switching element from being kept on even for a heavy load. Providing a rest period setting function (duty ratio upper limit setting function) that can be set in the range of 0 to 100% is effective in obtaining a more reliable power supply circuit.
[0004]
In order to individually create such a switching circuit, a stabilizing circuit, and the protection function described above, a large number of parts are required. However, in recent years, a power supply IC in which the above functions are all contained in one package. Are commercially available from many device manufacturers, and are widely used because they can save space and reduce costs by reducing the number of parts.
[0005]
In particular, many of the short-circuit protection functions implemented in PWM (pulse width modulation) switching regulator ICs are called so-called timer latch types. When the output falls below the set value, the timer is started and set. After a lapse of time, the latch circuit of the short circuit protection circuit is set, the switching element is turned off, and the switching element is kept off thereafter. In this case, it is necessary to turn off the power to reset.
[0006]
In addition, the idle period setting function can set the upper limit of the on-duty during the switching cycle, and even if the load becomes heavier, the on-duty does not become larger than the set upper limit. Is a function that prevents the signal from being continuously turned on (rest period 0%).

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, having a delay in the operation of this short-circuit protection function also helps prevent the short-circuit protection function from misjudging a load short-circuit as a load short-circuit due to a sudden change in load current, If the timer time for this short-circuit protection function is too long, if a load circuit short-circuit accident occurs, the main switching element will be overheated and burned out due to the short-circuit current during the delay period of the protection operation. Obviously, the timer time to be set is limited to a few milliseconds. Therefore, there is no problem if the time required for the input voltage of the DC / DC converter to rise to a sufficient value is less than the setting timer time of the short-circuit protection function, but the input power supply voltage to the DC / DC converter in the remote control is remotely Because it is supplied from the main unit, its rise is slow.
[0016]
In other words, when it takes several hundreds of milliseconds or more to reach the required voltage for the start-up of the power supply due to the action of the capacitor added to stabilize the input voltage to the DC / DC converter or the resistance of the remote control cable. At this time, the short-circuit protection function works and the latch circuit is set, and the switching element is always turned off. In order to restore the switching operation, the power supply from the main unit must be temporarily stopped and reset. As a countermeasure, when the set timer time of the short circuit protection circuit is made longer than the delay in the rise of the input voltage, the output short circuit occurs and continues in the setting of the duty ratio upper limit by the duty ratio upper limit setting circuit considering normal operation. As a result, the load on the switching element increases and the above-described problems occur.
[0017]
The problem to be solved by the present invention is that a predetermined voltage of the input voltage is used to stop the control of the protection function and the switching operation as described above until the input voltage to the DC / DC converter becomes a sufficient value. By detecting the value and stopping the short-circuit protection function below it, and prohibiting the switching operation control, the highly reliable remote device is not affected by factors such as the installation status (the length of the remote control cable) It is to realize the power supply circuit.
[0018]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve this problem, a power supply circuit for a remote device according to the present invention has a switching element that is supplied with power from a main device by wire to open and close the power supply from the main device and supplies power to a load of the remote device. A DC / DC converter circuit, a main control unit that controls the duty ratio of the switching element so as to reduce a difference between an output voltage of the DC / DC converter and a desired voltage, and an output voltage of the DC-DC converter are predetermined. After the state in which the voltage is lower than the predetermined voltage has continued for a predetermined time, a short-circuit protection circuit that outputs a signal that instructs the switching element to always turn off to the main control unit, and a signal that commands the upper limit of the duty ratio. In a power supply circuit of a remote device comprising a duty ratio upper limit setting circuit that outputs to
A start-up short-circuit protection stop circuit that stops the short-circuit protection circuit from outputting the always-off command signal during a period when the input voltage to the DC / DC converter is lower than a predetermined voltage; Control is performed so that the duty ratio upper limit setting circuit outputs a signal for setting the duty ratio upper limit to 0% to the main control unit during a period when the input voltage to the DC converter is lower than a predetermined voltage. The gist of the present invention is to provide a startup duty ratio control circuit.

[0037]
Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to such embodiment, and can of course be implemented in various modes without departing from the gist of the present invention. For example, although the step-up DC / DC converter is used in the above embodiment, it goes without saying that the step-down DC / DC converter can be similarly implemented. In addition, as the configuration of the start-up short circuit protection stop circuit and the start-up duty ratio control circuit, a circuit using an open collector output comparator has been shown in the embodiment, but the same effect can be obtained by using other switching elements. Needless to say, you can get it. In short, it is only necessary to have a function of detecting a predetermined voltage value of the input voltage and stopping and canceling the short-circuit protection function and prohibiting the switching operation in synchronization with the cancellation.
[0038]
【The invention's effect】
According to the power supply circuit of the remote device according to the present invention, the command to always turn off the switching element by the short-circuit protection circuit due to the low output voltage until the input voltage to the DC / DC converter becomes a sufficient value at start-up. Since the switching element is not turned on by setting the duty ratio to 0%, the input voltage rises due to factors such as installation conditions (for example, the length of the cable supplied from the main unit to the remote control). Even if there is a delay, the main switching element will not be accidentally activated, and if the load circuit is short-circuited while the short-circuit protection function is stopped, the main switching element will be Since it can be protected, it is possible to perform appropriate settings for the output short-circuit protection function and the rest period setting function assuming normal operation, and a highly reliable remote It is possible to realize a power supply circuit of the location.
[0039]
In addition, by configuring the minimum power supply voltage for operating the short circuit protection stop circuit at startup and the duty ratio control circuit at startup to be lower than the minimum power supply voltage for operating the short circuit protection function, Since the start-up short-circuit protection stop circuit and the start-up duty ratio control circuit operate before the short-circuit protection function starts to operate, it is possible to perform a highly reliable operation in which voltage coordination is maintained.
[0040]
Further, the start-up short circuit protection stop circuit and the start-up duty ratio control circuit are configured to detect a decrease in input voltage based on a reference voltage output from a reference voltage terminal provided in a switching regulator control IC or the like generally used in the past. Therefore, it can be implemented simply by adding a simple comparison circuit, and is inexpensive because the number of components such as elements to be added is small.
