本発明は、水底にトンネルを建造する水底シールドに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
シールド掘進機は、その先端のカッタの回転と、シールドジャッキによる推進力によって、地中を掘進するようになっている。

ところで、海底や川底等の水底にトンネルを建造する場合、従来は水底面にシールド掘進機全体が埋没しており、カッタで水底土砂を掘削しながらその水底土砂をスクリュコンベヤによりシールドフレーム内に取り込んで排出して、掘進を行うようになっていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上述のシールド掘進機では、水底や水底に近い場所を掘進するため、水底土砂を過剰に取り込んだ場合に、水底面からシールド掘進機前端のスクリュコンベヤの開口部に繋がる水みちができることがある。このようにスクリュコンベヤの開口部に水みちが一旦できると、スクリュコンベヤから水が吸い込まれて、シールド掘進機内への水の吹き上げが発生して掘進ができなくなってしまうといった問題があった。

そこで、本発明は、上記課題を解決するために案出されたものであり、その目的は、シールド内部への水の吹き上げが発生しない水底シールドを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、本発明は、水底にトンネルを建造する水底シールドにおいて、シールドフレームの先端の下側に前面の土砂を幅方向両側の水底面へ掻き分けるべく後方が上側に傾斜したくさび状の掻き分け部を備え、上側が水内に位置し、下側が水底土砂内に埋没して水底土砂を押し退けながら掘進するものである。

上記構成によれば、上側が水内に位置し、下側が水底土砂内に埋没して、その前方の水底土砂を掻き分け部でシールドフレームの幅方向両側の水底面へ押し退けながら掘進するので、シールド内に土砂を取り込まなくてよい。従って、水底土砂を過剰に取り込むことがなく、水みちもできないので、シールド内に水が浸入することはなく、水の吹き上げも発生しない。

そして、上記掻き分け部に、水底土砂を撹拌するためのカッタを設けたものが好ましい。

また、上記掻き分け部に水底土砂の取込口を形成し、この土砂取込口に土砂を取り込んでシールドフレームの側面から水底面上に排出する排土装置を接続したものが好ましい。

以下本発明の好適な実施の形態を添付図面に基づいて詳述する。

まず、本実施の形態に係る水底シールドの構成を説明する。

係る水底シールド1は、水底にトンネルを建造するものであって、図示するように、シールドフレーム2の先端の下側(本実施の形態では下側半分)に前面の土砂3を幅方向両側へ掻き分けるべく後方が上側に傾斜したくさび状の掻き分け部4を設け、上側(本実施の形態では上側半分)が水内に位置し、下側(本実施の形態では下側半分)が水底土砂3内に埋没して水底土砂3を押し退けながら掘進することを特徴としている。

掻き分け部4は、シールドフレーム2の先端のバルクヘッド5の下側半分を、その下部が前方に突出して傾斜すると共に、幅方向中央部が稜線となるくさび状に形成して構成されている。掻き分け部4はシールドフレーム2の高さ方向中間部まで形成されている。掻き分け部4の上部となるバルクヘッド5の上側半分は、垂直で且つ幅方向中央部が稜線となるくさび状に形成されている。

本実施の形態では、掻き分け部4に、水底土砂3を撹拌するカッタ6が設けられている。カッタ6は、一般的な形状のものが用いられる。本実施の形態では、揺動式のスポーク型カッタが用いられている。

カッタ6は、バルクヘッド5を貫通して設けられたカッタ回転軸7を有している。カッタ回転軸7の先端には、その径方向に延びるカッタスポーク8が設けられている。カッタ回転軸7の後部には、カッタ回転軸7を回転させるためのモータ9が設けられている。カッタ6は、幅方向左右に隣接して2機設けられており、カッタスポーク8の回転軌道が互いにラップするように配置されている。各カッタ6はそれぞれのカッタスポーク8が干渉しないように、同期して所定角度揺動する(図3中、破線にて示す)ようになっている。

なお、カッタ6の形状は、上記形状に限られるものではなく、回転式のカッタ等、他の形状であってもよい。

カッタ6の下部の掻き分け部4には、水底土砂3の取込口11が形成されている。この土砂取込口11には、水底土砂3を水底シールド1内に一旦取り込んで、シールドフレーム2の側面から水底面12上に排出する排土装置14が接続されている。

排土装置14は、土砂取込口11に接続されるツインスクリュ15と、このツインスクリュ15からシールドフレーム2の側面に形成された土砂排出口16に繋がる排土用配管17とを備えている。ツインスクリュ15は、止水性とポンプ機能とを備えており、土砂取込口11から取り込んだ水底土砂3を排土用配管17に送り出すようになっている。土砂取込口11及びツインスクリュ15は、各カッタ6ごとに設けられている。土砂排出口16は、シールドフレーム2の左右両側面に形成されており、各ツインスクリュ15にて取り込まれた水底土砂3を、水底シールド1の左右の水底面12上に均等に排出して、水底面12の乱れを低減するようになっている。

なお、図1中、18は、水底シールド1を推進させるためのシールドジャッキ、19は、セグメントをそれぞれ示す。シールドジャッキ18は、軸方向に延びて配置され、シールドフレーム2の内周面に周方向に所定ピッチで、複数設けられている。

次に、上記構成に係る水底シールド1の作用を説明する。

水底シールド1は、その上側半分が水内に位置し、下側半分が水底土砂内に埋没して掘進する。

水底土砂3が比較的軟弱な場合には、排土装置14は作動させずに、カッタ6で、水底シールド1の前面の水底土砂3を撹拌しながら、シールドジャッキ18で水底シールド1を推進させる。このとき、水底土砂3は、ラッセル車に雪が掻き分けられるように、掻き分け部4に沿って、左右上方に案内され、シールドフレーム2の左右の水底面12へと押し流される。

以上のように、水底シールド1の上側半分が水内に位置し、下側半分が水底土砂内に埋没して、その前方の水底土砂3を掻き分け部4でシールドフレームの左右両側へ押し退けながら掘進するので、水底シールド1内に土砂を取り込まなくてよい。従って、水底土砂を過剰に取り込むことがなく、水みちもできないので、シールド内に水が浸入することはなく、水の吹き上げも発生しない。

一方、水底土砂3が比較的硬く、撹拌された土砂が水底シールド1の推進の抵抗となる場合には、排土装置14を作動させながら、掘進を行う。このとき、撹拌された水底土砂3の一部は、土砂取込口11からツインスクリュ15にて取り込まれ、土砂排出口16からシールドフレーム2の左右の水底面12上に排出される。これによって、バルクヘッド2の前面の水底土砂3が減少して、残りの水底土砂3が、掻き分け部4を介して、スムーズにシールドフレーム2の左右の水底面12へと適宜押し流される。

この場合、水底土砂3は、水底シールド1内に一旦取り込まれるが、止水性を備えたスクリュ(本実施の形態ではツインスクリュ)15及び排土用配管17を通して、土砂排出口16から機外に排出されるので、土砂取込口11に繋がる水みちができても、水が水底土砂3と共に、機外に排出されるので、機内へ水が浸入することはなく、水の吹き上げも発生しない。

また、取り込んだ水底土砂3は、シールドフレーム2の左右の水底面12上に排土されるので、掘進により凸凹になった水底面12を平滑な状態に戻す役目を果たすこともできると共に、産業廃棄物となる掘削土砂が発生しないので、コスト的にも有利になる。

なお、上記実施の形態の水底シールド1は、カッタ6や排土装置14を備えているが、水底土砂3の状態によっては、カッタ6や排土装置14を設けない水底シールド1であってもよい。

また、上記実施の形態では、掻き分け部4はバルクヘッド5の高さ方向中央まで形成されているが、もっと上方まで形成するようにしてもよい。これによれば、水底土砂3が、組み立てられたセグメント19の上端近傍まで被さることとなり、トンネルが浮き上がろうとする力に対して有効となる。

以上要するに本発明によれば、シールド内に水が浸入することはなく、水の吹き上げも発生しないといった優れた効果を発揮する。
