Claims (2)
- 気筒から排気通路に排出された排ガスの当該気筒内への還流量を外部EGR量として変更する外部EGR装置と、当該気筒内で発生した既燃ガスを前記排ガスよりも高温のガスとして当該気筒内に残留させる残留量を内部EGR量として変更する内部EGR装置とを有し、少なくとも成層混合気を自己着火により燃焼させる成層自己着火燃焼モードと、当該成層混合気を火花点火により燃焼させる成層火炎伝播燃焼モードと、均質混合気を火花点火により燃焼させる均質火炎伝播燃焼モードとを含む複数の燃焼モードの間で燃焼モードを切り換えて運転される内燃機関のEGR制御装置であって、
前記複数の燃焼モードのいずれかを選択する燃焼モード選択手段と、
当該選択された燃焼モードに応じて、前記内部EGR量および前記外部EGR量の総和の目標となる総目標EGR量を算出する総目標EGR量算出手段と、
前記選択された燃焼モードに応じて、前記気筒内の未燃ガスの目標温度を目標筒内ガス温度として設定する目標筒内ガス温度設定手段と、
前記選択された燃焼モードに応じて、前記気筒内に残留した既燃ガスの温度を既燃ガス温度として算出する既燃ガス温度算出手段と、
前記選択された燃焼モードに応じて、前記気筒内に残留した既燃ガスの周囲の温度を周囲温度として算出する周囲温度算出手段と、
前記算出された既燃ガス温度および前記算出された周囲温度を用いて、混合気の次回の燃焼時に用いられるときの既燃ガスの温度を内部EGR温度として算出する内部EGR温度算出手段と、
当該算出された内部EGR温度および前記設定された目標筒内ガス温度を用いて、前記内部EGR量の目標となる目標内部EGR量を算出する目標内部EGR量算出手段と、
前記算出された総目標EGR量から前記算出された目標内部EGR量を減算することにより、前記外部EGR量の目標となる目標外部EGR量を算出する目標外部EGR量算出手段と、
前記内部EGR装置および前記外部EGR装置を駆動することにより、前記内部EGR量および前記外部EGR量を、前記目標内部EGR量および前記目標外部EGR量になるようにそれぞれ制御するEGR制御手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関のEGR制御装置。 - 前記総目標EGR量算出手段は、前記成層自己着火燃焼モードおよび前記成層火炎伝播燃焼モードの一方が選択されたときには、前記総目標EGR量を、前記均質火炎伝播燃焼モードが選択されたときよりも大きい値に設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関のEGR制御装置。
