Description
本発明は、上述した複雑な問題に取組むことを目的とする。特に、本発明は、カーカス層の穴領域においてアルミニウム箔層と、その層に接触する1以上の重合材料層、例えば1以上の熱可塑材で形成されたプラスチック製ライニングおよび(または)層状の熱可塑材で構成されたフィルム、との改良された接着を行う押圧ローラーを使用する方法を提供する。それらの層(1つまたは複数)は、押出し形成されて本発明による押圧ローラーで構成されるプレス・ニップ内に直接に与えられる。これに関連して、有利な短いプレスニップ長さを有し、穴領域において良好な接着を行うと同時に大きな線荷重を有するプレス・ニップの製造を可能にするべきことを目的とする。速い工程ライン速度、大きな線荷重および短いプレス・ニップ長さと組合わされて、押圧ローラーは穴領域の内部へ押込まれてそのような箇所に位置するフィルムおよび層を互いに積層するための時間を有するように配置されねばならない。
一連の実験例において、25g/m2のLDPEで構成した層状熱可塑性層で外面を被覆された270g/m2、260mNのフレーヴィー・デュプレックスCLC/C製のカーカス層の積層材がパイロット・マシーンで試験され、パイロット・マシーンは300m/分で運転された。カーカス層の穴は直径が19mmであった。実験は3つの異なる線荷重にて実施された。ショアーA硬度80のゴム層で構成された1つの表皮層のみをそれぞれ有する2つの従来の押圧ローラーが図1に示されるような本発明の押圧ローラーとして試験され、その押圧ローラーは直径310mmの鋼製コアーと、厚さ18mmでショアーA硬度90の内側被覆層と、厚さ2mmでショアーA硬度70の外側被覆層とを有していた。この実験ではアルミニウム箔層は使用せず、透明な穴内を目視検査できるようにされた。アルミニウム箔が無いにもかかわらずに、穴縁の付近での冷却カウンタ・ローラに対する明確な接触の相違が明かになった。図4は接触不足が幅xの環状部分として現れ、この環状部分は穴の縁に沿って周回するように形成された。目視検査により、この環状部分は輝きを示すのに対して、その内側に位置する良好な接触をして積層された熱可塑材は曇った状態を示した。表1はこれらの対照実験と本発明に基づく実験とにおける環状部分の幅xを示す。見られるような幅xの減少は、アルミニウム箔が積層材に含まれる場合にさらに大きく減少すると予想される。何故なら、空気の閉込めの問題はそのほとんどがアルミニウム箔フィルムの存在に関係しているからである。
Claims (5)
- 紙またはボール紙で形成されたカーカス層(40)を含む形式で、カーカス層が貫通穴、開口またはスリット(42)を備え、またカーカス層がその片側にアルミニウム箔であることが好ましいバリヤ層(44)と、このバリヤ層の外側に配置されて1以上の熱可塑材で形成されたプラスチック製ライニング(46,47)と、カーカス層(40)およびバリヤ層(44)の間に配置された層状の熱可塑材のフィルム(43)とを備えている形式のウェブとされる包装材料を製造する方法であり、前記プラスチック製ライニングと前記層状熱可塑材との少なくとも一方が溶融状態または半溶融状態の連続したフィルム(25;31)として押出し形成されるプレス・ニップ(32;26)において前記バリヤ層(44)が前記カーカス層(40)と同時に前記プラスチック製ライニングと前記層状熱可塑材の前記フィルム(43)との少なくとも一方に対して接着される包装材料の製造方法であって、前記プレス・ニップ(32;26)が、円形−円筒形のジャケット面を有する金属製コアー(11)を備えた押圧ローラー(28;10)を含み、前記ジャケット面が第1の硬度および第1の厚さを有する弾性材料で形成された内側表皮層(12)を備え、前記第1の硬度よりも低い第2の硬度および前記第1の厚さよりも薄い第2の厚さを有する弾性材料で構成された外側表皮層(13)が前記内側表皮層(12)の外側に配置されていることを特徴とする方法。
- 前記外側表皮層(13)の前記第2の硬度がショアーA硬度50〜80であり、前記第2の厚さが、前記第1の厚さに前記第2の厚さを加えた厚さの5〜25%であり、前記内側表皮層(12)の前記第1の硬度がショアーA硬度60〜99であることを特徴とする方法。
- 前記プレス・ニップ(32;26)が冷却カウンタ・ローラー(29;27)も含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載された方法。
- 前記押圧ローラー(28;10)が800m/分までの周速、好ましくは300〜700m/分、さらに好ましくは400〜700m/分の周速を有することを特徴とする請求項1から3までのいずれか一項に記載された方法。
- 前記プレス・ニップ(32;26)が20〜60N/mm、好ましくは20〜50N/mmの線荷重を有し、プレス・ニップ長さが少なくとも20mm、好ましくは20〜35mm、さらに好ましくは20〜30mmであることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4までのいずれか一項に記載された方法。
