The disk device further serves as a disk loading control system, a disk insertion detecting means 24 for detecting that a disk has been inserted into the disk device, and a disk for detecting a state in which a disk can be loaded and a loading operation can be performed. Based on the detection information detected by the loading standby state detection means 25 and the disk insertion detection means 24 that the disk has been inserted into the disk device, the disk can be moved into the disk device by driving the loading motor and rotated to the
The disk insertion detecting means 24 is configured by a switch that is turned off when a disk is inserted and turned on when a disk is not inserted. The disk loading standby state detection means 25 is configured by a switch that is turned on when a disk loading standby state is entered and turned off in a state other than the loading standby state. The loading completion detection means 27 is configured by a switch that is turned on when the loading state of the disk is monitored and the disk is completely loaded, and is turned off otherwise. The disk presence / absence detecting means 28 is composed of a switch which is turned off when there is a disk inside the disk device and turned on when there is no disk. The mechanical position detecting means 29 detects the mechanical position when the mechanism of the disk loading means 26 is moving during the loading operation, and between the standby position and the loading completion position where the mechanism is between the loading completion position and the ejection completion position. Further, as a disk discharge control system, a
Next, the operation will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 2 is a flowchart for explaining the initialization operation processing of the disk device according to the embodiment of the present invention. First, when a power-on or initialization operation is requested, basic initialization operation processing in the disk device is performed. In the slot loading type, it is necessary to perform the initialization operation by performing the eject operation once immediately after the power is turned on. The purpose is to return the disk loading mechanism, which may have stopped at an abnormal position, to the normal standby position when there is no disk. In the initialization operation, as shown in FIG. 2, first, the disk presence /
On the other hand, if there is no disk, the ejection operation is started (step 3), and the disk ejection means 43 is operated to perform the disk ejection operation until the disk ejection state detection means 44 detects the disk ejection state (step 4). When the disc ejection state is detected by the disc ejection operation of the disc ejection means 43, the disc loading means 26 is operated to move to the loading operation (step 5), and is operated until the disc loading standby state detection means 25 detects the disc loading standby state. The disk loading standby state is set (step 6), and the initialization is completed.
If a disk ejection command is received when there is a disk in the disk device, the operations from step 3 to step 6 are performed. That is, the disc ejecting means 43 is operated and the disc ejecting operation is performed until the disc ejecting state detecting means 44 detects the disc ejecting state. Further, the disc loading means 26 or the disc ejecting means 43 is replaced by the disc loading standby
When a disk ejection command is received when there is no disk in the disk device, the disk ejection means 43 is operated to perform a forced ejection operation.
In addition, since a mechanical movement operation is always performed to return to the standby position when the power is turned on, the loading sound is felt loud when the power is turned on. Therefore, it is preferable to set the driving voltage of the loading motor in the initialization process to be lower than the driving voltage of the normal disk loading process or ejection process. In actual processing, the discharge processing routine may be used as it is, and the drive voltage at the time of discharge may be reduced. During the transition from the power-on to the initialization process, even if the eject switch or the disk detection switch is detected, the event is held without issuing an event and the initialization operation is performed. When the initialization operation is completed, the hold is released.
Also, when a disk ejection command is received when a disk is present in the disk device, the loading motor in the step of performing the disk ejection operation is operated at a normal voltage, and in the step of setting the disk loading standby state, the loading motor It is preferable to set the operation to a voltage lower than the drive voltage in the normal disk loading operation.
Further, when a disk ejection command is received when there is no disk in the disk device, the disk ejection means 44 is operated to perform a forced ejection operation, and after the forced ejection operation, The means 26 is operated until the disk loading standby state detecting means 25 detects the disk loading standby state to enter the disk loading standby state. At this time, in the step of performing the forced ejection operation, the loading motor is operated at a normal voltage. After the forced ejection operation is completed, the loading motor operation is performed in the normal disk loading operation in the step of setting the disk loading standby state. A voltage lower than the driving voltage is preferable.
Note that the step of performing the disc ejection operation and the step of entering the disc loading standby state are each automatically terminated after a predetermined time has elapsed, so that the loading motor is automatically operated at the end of each step. The voltage can be restored.
Next, the loading operation processing of the disk device will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3 is a control flowchart of the loading operation process. When a disk is inserted into the
During the loading process, a disk rotation process (step 13) and a pickup inner circumference feed process (step 14) are performed in parallel with the driving of the loading motor. The disk rotation process is performed in order to perform a chucking operation a plurality of times. In other words, there is a risk that chucking may fail in a one-time chucking operation, so after reaching the position where the loading mechanism performs chucking during the loading process, the loading mechanism is temporarily returned to the ejection direction and driven again in the loading direction. The second chucking operation is performed, and then the loading motor is driven so as to perform a plurality of chucking operations by repeating this operation as necessary. At this time, in the disk rotation processing, the disk is rotated by the
The loading completion detection means 27 determines whether or not the loading is completed (step 15). When the loading completion is detected, the loading motor brake is driven with 0 volts to prevent the loading motor from generating a back electromotive voltage. The operation is performed (step 16), and the loading motor is operated in reverse to stop the repulsive force loading operation immediately (step 17). Finally, the mechanism of the disk loading means 26 is locked so that the next disk cannot be inserted and the loading operation is not performed even if a loading request is made again (step 18).
If necessary, after completion of loading in step 16, the loading operation may be continued and further pushed in to prevent the disk from being removed.
Next, disk ejection processing of the disk device will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 4 is a control flowchart of the disc ejection process. The discharge process is activated either when the
During the ejection process, the loading motor is driven to move the position of the loading mechanism while monitoring the disk detection means 24, the disk ejection state detection means 45 and the standby position detection means 25. At this time, while monitoring the mechanical position detecting means 29, the position of the loading mechanism at that time is grasped, and the discharge voltage is finely controlled by changing the driving voltage of the loading motor for each position of the loading mechanism. The actual discharge process is composed of two operations: movement of the loading mechanism in the discharge direction and return to the standby position. After moving in the eject direction, the loading mechanism is locked, and the mechanism does not move when trying to insert a disc. In order to be able to insert the next disk, it is necessary to move the loading mechanism position again in the loading direction and return to the standby position. If the
The disc ejection state detection means 45 determines whether or not the disc ejection has been completed by the disc ejection means 44 (step 24). When it is detected that the disc has been ejected, the disc loading standby state detection means 25 causes the disc loading state detection means 25 to complete the disc loading. It is determined whether or not an operation can be performed (step 25). If it is detected in
If it is determined in
It is to be noted that chattering removal is performed as necessary before the disc ejection
By the way, if the
The
If the current position cannot be obtained, the
In order to prevent the ejection lever from hitting the pickup lens when the disc is ejected, it is preferable to move the pickup lens downward to a predetermined position where the ejection lever does not strike.
