本発明は、はんだ付け用のリフロー装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
図9および図10に示されるように、従来のリフロー装置は、第1プリヒート炉11、第2プリヒート炉12、第3プリヒート炉13およびリフロー炉14の各々の炉体15内に、外部のモータ16により回転伝達機構17を介して駆動される送風機(シロッコファン)18と、この送風機18により生じた風を炉体15内で循環させる案内板19とが配置され、炉体15内の上部から下方へ向かう風路中に、触媒21、加熱ヒータ22、整流板23、防風板24および遠赤外線ヒータ25が順次配設され、遠赤外線ヒータ25の下側に部品実装基板搬送用のチェンコンベヤ26が配設されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前記部品実装基板Wが両面実装型の場合は、先立つリフロー工程で基板の片面に予めはんだ付けされた実装部品は、残りの片面のリフロー工程でもリフロー加熱を受けるため、耐熱温度の低い実装部品では熱破壊などの問題が生ずるおそれもある。

特に、最近は、鉛を用いない鉛フリーはんだを用いることが環境問題の観点から主流となっているが、鉛フリーはんだは高融点であり、はんだ付けされる実装部品も従来より高温で加熱する必要があるので、耐熱温度の低い実装部品を保護する必要性が従来より高まっている。

本発明は、このような点に鑑みなされたもので、両面実装型の部品実装基板をリフロー加熱する際に、加熱する必要のない側の実装部品を熱的に保護できるリフロー装置を提供することを目的とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
請求項1に記載された発明は、両面実装型の部品実装基板の供給を受ける炉体と、炉体内で部品実装基板の一面を加熱する加熱手段と、加熱手段による加熱中に部品実装基板の他面を温度調整された冷風により冷却する冷却手段とを具備し、冷却手段は、加熱手段に対し部品実装基板の搬送経路を介し反対側に配置された熱伝導性を有する冷却プレートと、冷却プレート内に配設され温度調整された冷却用の冷媒を通す冷媒通路と、冷却プレートに穿設された冷風吹出穴と、冷却プレートの一側面に冷風となる気体を供給する送風手段と、冷却プレートの他側面に突設され冷風吹出穴から吹出された冷風を整流する複数のフィンとを具備したリフロー装置である。

そして、部品実装基板の一面を加熱手段により加熱しているときは、部品実装基板の他面を冷却手段の温度調整された冷風により冷却して、その他面の実装部品を熱的に保護する。さらに、熱伝導性を有する冷却プレート内の冷媒通路に温度調整された冷媒を通すことで、冷却プレート自体を設定された温度範囲に保ち、この冷却プレートに接触しながら冷風吹出穴を通過する気体を所定温度範囲の冷風に制御し、フィンにより冷風吹出穴から吹出された冷風を整流するから、プレート状のコンパクトな冷風温度制御手段を、炉体内に場所を取らずに設置する。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を、図1乃至図8に示された実施の形態を参照しながら説明する。

図1乃至図7には一実施の形態が示され、図2および図3に示されるように、両面実装型の部品実装基板Wの搬送方向に、第1プリヒート炉31、第2プリヒート炉32およびリフロー炉33が順次配置されている。

第1プリヒート炉31およびリフロー炉33では、これらの炉体34内に、図1に示されるように、熱風発生用送風機(シロッコファン)35と、この熱風発生用送風機35により生じた風を炉体34内で循環させる案内板36およびヒータ取付板37とが、炉体34内に左右対称に設けられている。

炉体34内の上部から下方へ向かう中央部の風路中には、炉内で強制循環される空気または窒素ガスなどの不活性雰囲気を加熱する雰囲気加熱ヒータ(シーズヒータ)51と、加熱された不活性雰囲気の流量を炉内全体で均一化するパンチングプレート(多孔板)などの整流板52と、炉体34内の部品実装基板Wを760〜3000nmの波長をもつ近赤外線により加熱する近赤外線ヒータとしてハロゲンランプ53と、炉体34内の部品実装基板Wを50〜1000μmの波長をもつ遠赤外線により加熱する遠赤外線ヒータ54とが順次配設され、これらのヒータの下側に部品実装基板搬送用のチェンコンベヤ55が配設されている。

図2および図3に示されるように、ハロゲンランプ53および遠赤外線ヒータ54は、基板温度の立ち上げに多量の熱量を必要とする第1プリヒート炉31と、リフロー加熱に多量の熱量を必要とするリフロー炉33とには設けられているが、プリヒート温度を保てる程度の熱量でよい第2プリヒート炉32には、設けられていない。第2プリヒート炉32には熱風加熱手段57のみが設けられている。

図3において、第1プリヒート炉31と第2プリヒート炉32との間、第2プリヒート炉32とリフロー炉33との間には、炉体内雰囲気を換気するための排気口60がそれぞれ設けられている。

図4に示されるように、炉体34の上部34a は、下部34b に対して跳上げ式扉のように開閉自在に設けられ、それらの間にはシール部材61が介在されている。そして、この開放可能な炉体34の上部34a に、前記雰囲気加熱ヒータ51とともに、ブラケット62を介して前記左右のヒータ取付板37が設けられ、これらのヒータ取付板37の間に前記防風板58が取付けられているとともに、これらのヒータ取付板37の上部に形成された上部切込溝63間に前記ハロゲンランプ53が、またヒータ取付板37の下部に形成された下部切込溝64間に前記遠赤外線ヒータ54がそれぞれ嵌着されている。

このため、炉体34の上部34a を開扉することにより、全てのヒータ51,53,54を外部に取出すことができ、保守、点検を容易にできる。

各防風板58は、熱風を切裂く尖端部65を持つ逆V字形の増速部66の下部に平行板部67が形成され、ハロゲンランプ53は、各防風板58の尖端部65間に配置され、また、遠赤外線ヒータ54は、各防風板58の平行板部67内に配置されている。

図5に示されるように、ハロゲンランプ53は、長尺に形成されたガラス管71の両端部に口金72が設けられた両口金形であり、そのガラス管71の内部に口金72間のフィラメント73とともに、不活性ガスおよび微量のハロゲン化物が封入されている。

このハロゲンランプ53のガラス管71における部品実装基板と対向する面(下面)の反対側の片面(上面)には、反射膜74が設けられている。この反射膜74は、アルミニュームまたは金などをガラス面に蒸着またはメッキにより形成したもので、この片面の反射膜74の反射作用により、この反射膜方向への近赤外線の照射を部品実装基板方向へ矯正し、余剰な加熱を防止する。

このハロゲンランプ53に供給される供給電圧は調整可能であり、その供給電圧を可変調整することにより、図6に示されるように、ハロゲンランプ53から照射される近赤外線の波長帯およびエネルギを、部品実装基板に応じて変えることができる。

図1に戻って、両面実装型の部品実装基板Wの供給を受ける炉体34内で、ハロゲンランプ53、遠赤外線ヒータ54および熱風加熱手段57は、部品実装基板Wの一面としての上側面を加熱する加熱手段81を形成しており、この上側面用の加熱手段81に対し、この加熱手段81による加熱中に部品実装基板Wの他面としての下側面を温度調整された冷風により冷却する冷却手段82が設けられている。

この冷却手段82は、炉体34の下部左右部の凹部41間に、加熱手段81に対し部品実装基板Wの搬送経路を介し反対側に配置された熱伝導性を有する多孔性の冷却プレート83が設けられ、この冷却プレート83の下側に、冷却プレート83に冷風となる空気または窒素ガスなどの気体を供給する送風手段としての冷却用送風機84が送風ガイド85を介して設けられている。冷却用送風機84は、モータ86により駆動されるシロッコファンである。

ここで、熱風加熱手段57は、部品実装基板Wの搬送経路上に配置された雰囲気加熱ヒータ51と、部品実装基板Wの搬送経路より下側でかつ基板幅方向一側部および他側部に対称に配置され雰囲気加熱ヒータ51で加熱された熱風を部品実装基板Wを経て吸引するとともに雰囲気加熱ヒータ51上に循環させる両側の熱風発生用送風機35とを備えているが、冷却手段82の冷却プレート83および冷却用送風機84は、両側の熱風発生用送風機35の間に配置されたものである。

このため、両側の熱風発生用送風機35の間に配置された冷却手段82の冷却プレート83および冷却用送風機84は、炉体34にコンパクトに組込める。特に、プレート状のコンパクトな冷風温度制御手段である冷却プレート83は、炉体34内に場所を取らずに設置できる。

なお、この冷却手段82は、図2に示されるように第1プリヒート炉31、第2プリヒート炉32およびリフロー炉33にそれぞれ設けられている。

図7に示されるように、冷却プレート83内には、冷却用の冷媒を通す冷媒通路87が蛇行形に配設されている。この冷媒通路87は、例えば2枚のパネルの片面に蛇行溝を加工し、その溝加工面を重ね合わせて溶接付けすることにより形成すると良い。

また、ハロゲンランプ53に供給される電圧を可変調整することにより、波長帯を変えることができるとともに、例えば、ハロゲンランプ53に供給される電圧を落とすことにより、ハロゲンランプ53の周囲温度を上げずに、近赤外線放射エネルギだけで部品搭載基板を加熱することもできる。

このようにして、部品実装基板Wの上側面を加熱手段81により加熱しているときに、同時に、部品実装基板Wの下側面を冷却手段82の温度調整された空気や窒素ガスの冷風により冷却して、その下側面の実装部品を熱的に保護する。

【発明の効果】
請求項1記載の発明によれば、部品実装基板の一面を加熱手段により加熱しているときは、部品実装基板の他面を冷却手段の温度調整された冷風により冷却するから、その他面の実装部品を熱的に保護できる。特に、温度調整された冷風により冷却するから、加熱された炉体の温度や、炉体周囲の雰囲気温度に影響されず、耐熱温度の低い実装部品も安定良く保護できる。さらに、熱伝導性を有する冷却プレート内の冷媒通路に温度調整された冷媒を通すことで、冷却プレート自体を設定された温度範囲に保ち、この冷却プレートに接触しながら冷風吹出穴を通過する気体を所定温度範囲の冷風に制御し、フィンにより冷風吹出穴から吹出された冷風を整流するから、プレート状のコンパクトな冷風温度制御手 段を、炉体内に場所を取らずに設置できる。
