【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、インターネットに接続しインターネットを介して画像データを転送する一体型インターネットカメラに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来のインターネットカメラおよびインターネットカメラシステムとしては、例えば特願平１０-３４６０７１号公報に記載されたものがある。従来のインターネットカメラは、画像データをインターネット内のファイルサーバーの所定のサイトに転送する機能および、前記ディレクトリに置かれた、画像データ転送先のサイト名や前記サイトに接続するためのパスワード等の設定データが記入された設定ファイルを読み込み、前記設定ファイルの内容に従って前記インターネットカメラの設定の変更を行うことを特徴としている。

しかしながら、従来の技術では前記画像データが転送されるサイトと前記設定ファイルが置かれるサイトが同一であり、前記ファイルサーバーが前記サイトに対する書き込みを一つのアカウントのみに認め、さらには前記アカウントにて複数の端末から同時に書き込みをすることができない場合、インターネットカメラが画像データを前記サイトに転送している間設定者は設定ファイルを前記サイトに転送できないという問題があった。

上記の問題を解決する手段としては、前記サイトに対する書き込みを複数のアカウントに対して認め、前記インターネットカメラと前記設定者がそれぞれ別のアカウントを用いてサイトに書き込みを行う手段がある。

しかしながら、上記の手段においては、前記サイトのファイルサーバーの管理者によって、アカウント追加の作業を行わなければならず、またファイルサーバーの管理者によってはアカウントの追加を認めないケースもある。

また、上記の問題を解決する他の手段として、前記インターネットカメラが画像データを転送するサイトと、前記設定者が設定ファイルを送信するサイトを別々に用意するという手段がある。

しかしながら、上記の手段においては、設定者は複数のアカウントを取らなくてはならず、設定者はより多くの出費を強いられる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明のインターネットカメラは、インターネットカメラが画像データを前記サイトに転送している間であっても、設定変更を行うことが可能なインターネットカメラを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するために、請求項１記載のインターネットカメラは、ファイルサーバーの所定のサイトに設定ファイルを置く代わりに、電子メールの添付ファイルとして、設定ファイルをインターネットカメラのメールアドレスに送信し、インターネットカメラが該インターネットメールを受信し、該設定ファイルに従ってインターネットカメラの設定変更を行う。なお、ファイル転送手段が画像データを所定のサイトに転送している間に電子メール受信手段が電子メールを受信した場合、制御手段は画像データの転送を中断し、インターネットカメラの設定変更の終了後に画像データの転送を再開する。

上記の手法においては設定者は前記サイトにアクセスする必要がないので、インターネットカメラが画像データを送信中であっても設定ファイルをインターネットカメラが読み込むことができる。

また、請求項４記載のインターネットカメラは、設定者が所定のコマンドを含むインターネットメールをインターネットカメラのメールアドレスに送信し、インターネットカメラは該インターネットメールを受信後所定のコマンドに従って少なくとも設定者によって設定ファイルが前記サイトに転送されるまでの間、インターネットの接続を切断する。しかる後にインターネットに再接続し、該サイトより設定ファイルを読み込み、設定の変更を行う。なお、ファイル転送手段が画像データを所定のサイトに転送している間に電子メール受信手段が電子メールを受信した場合、制御手段は画像データの転送を中断し、インターネットカメラの設定変更の終了後に画像データの転送を再開する。

上記の手法においてはまず設定者によってインターネットカメラのインターネットの接続が切断されるので、設定者はインターネットカメラのインターネットの接続が切断されている間に、設定ファイルを送信するために該サイトにアクセスすることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明のインターネットカメラの第１の実施の形態のブロック図を図１に示す。該インターネットカメラのカメラ本体１に内蔵された電子メール受信手段７は所定のタイミングで電子メールの受信確認を行っており、電子メール受信手段７が電子メールを受信した場合、前記電子メールは電子メール解析手段８によって解析される。前記電子メールが添付ファイルを含んでいる場合は、電子メール解析手段８は添付ファイルの内容を解析し、該添付ファイルがインターネットカメラの設定ファイルである場合は、制御手段６は該設定ファイルに従ってインターネットカメラの設定変更を行う。

また、設定ファイルが添付された電子メールを受信した時が画像データの転送中である場合は、制御手段６はファイル転送手段５としてのＦＴＰクライアントを制御して画像データの転送を一時中断し、その間にインターネットカメラの設定変更を行い、設定変更終了後に画像データの転送を再開する。

上記のような処理を行うことによって本発明のインターネットカメラのは画像データの転送中、即ち、ファイルサーバーに接続中であっても、外部からインターネット経由で設定の変更を可能とする。

また、本発明のインターネットカメラの第２の形態のブロック図を図２に示す。該インターネットカメラのカメラ本体１に内蔵された電子メール受信手段７は所定のタイミングで電子メールの受信確認を行っており、電子メール受信手段７が電子メールを受信した場合、前記電子メールは電子メール解析手段８によって解析される。

前記電子メールが所定のコマンドを含む場合、制御手段６は前記所定のコマンドに従ってインターネットへの接続を切断する。その後インターネットカメラの設定者が設定ファイルをインターネット上の所定のファイルサーバー内の所定のサイトに転送した後、インターネットカメラの電話受信手段９に電話をかけ、例えば所定の組み合わせのダイヤルトーンといった、特定の音声信号を電話受信手段９に対して送信する。

音声信号は音声解析手段１０によって解析され、制御手段６は解析された音声信号に従ってネットワーク・インターフェース４を制御してインターネットとの接続を再開し、さらにファイル転送手段５を制御して、インターネット上の所定のファイルサーバー内の所定のサイトに設定者によって転送された設定ファイルを読み込み、該設定ファイルに従ってインターネットカメラの設定変更を行う。

また、電子メール受信手段７が所定のコマンドを含む電子メールを受信した時が画像データの転送中である場合は、制御手段６はファイル転送手段５を制御して画像データの転送を一時中断し、その間にインターネットカメラの設定変更を行い、設定変更終了後に画像データの転送を再開する。

上記のような処理を行うことによって本発明のインターネットカメラは画像データの転送中、即ち、ファイルサーバーに接続中であっても、外部からインターネット経由で設定の変更を可能とする。

なお、インターネットカメラの設定者が特定の音声信号を電話受信手段９に対して送信する代わりに、所定回数呼び出し音をならすことによって前記インターネットカメラがインターネットとの接続を再開する仕様としても構わない。
【実施例】
本発明の実施例を図面を用いて説明する。図３は本発明の第１の実施の形態において、０：００より４分間画像データの転送を行い、その間に設定者が設定の変更を行うときのタイムテーブルを示したものである。

本実施例においてはインターネットカメラは電話回線を用いてインターネットに接続されており、原則として常時インターネットに接続されている。また、前記インターネットカメラは１分に一度電子メールの受信確認を行っている。本実施例においては０：０１に設定者が、例えば図５に示す項目を有する設定ファイルの添付された電子メールを送信しているので、前記インターネットカメラは前記電子メールを０：０２の受信確認時に受信する。

前記インターネットカメラは前記電子メールを受信後、ただちに画像の転送を中断し、前記電子メールに添付された設定ファイルに従って設定の変更をおこない、しかる後に画像の転送を再開する。

上記実施例の通り、前記インターネットカメラが画像データを転送している間であっても、設定者はインターネットカメラの設定変更を行うことができる。

また、図４は本発明の第２の実施の形態において、０：００より４分間画像データの転送を行い、その間に設定者が設定の変更をおこなうときのたいむテーブルを示したものである。

本実施例においては、インターネットカメラは電話回線を用いてインターネットに接続されており、原則として常時インターネットに接続されている。また、前記インターネットカメラは１分に一度電子メールの受信確認を行っている。本実施例においては０：０１に設定者が所定のコマンドの添付された電子メールを送信しているので、前記インターネットカメラは前記電子メールを０：０２の受信確認時に受信する。

前記インターネットカメラは前記電子メールを受信後、直ちに画像の転送を中断し、さらにインターネットへの接続を切断する。設定者は前記インターネットカメラがインターネットへの接続を切断した後に、インターネット内の所定のファイルサーバーの所定のサイトに接続し、例えば図５に示す項目を有する設定ファイルを前記サイトに転送した後、前記サイトへの接続を切断する。

さらに、設定者はインターネットカメラに内蔵された電話受信手段に直接電話をかけ、さらに所定の番号を電話のダイヤルトーンとして入力する。前記インターネットカメラの音声解析手段は前記ダイヤルトーンを番号に復号し、前記番号が「設定ファイルの転送終了」を意味するものであれば、電話回線を切断し、インターネットへの再接続を行い、さらに前記サイト上の設定ファイルを読み込み、前記設定ファイルに従って設定変更を行い、しかる後に画像データの転送を再開する。

なお、前記インターネットへの再接続は、設定者が所定の番号を電話のダイヤルトーンとして入力する代わりに、所定回数呼び出し音をならすことによって前記インターネットカメラがインターネットとの接続を再開する仕様としても構わない。

さらに、前記インターネットへの再接続は、前記電話受信手段および前記音声解析手段を用いずに、タイマー手段を設け、インターネット切断後一定時間経過後に自動的にインターネットへの再接続を行う仕様であっても差し支えない。

上記実施例の通り、前記インターネットカメラが画像転送中であっても、設定者はインターネットカメラの設定変更を行うことができる。

Claims (8)

  1. 撮像装置により撮像した画像をデータとして記憶する画像データ記憶手段を備えたカメラであって、
    インターネットに接続するネットワーク・インターフェースと、
    画像データ記憶手段に格納された画像データを所定のネットワーク内の所定のサイトに転送するファイル転送手段と、
    電子メールを受信する、電子メール受信手段と、
    前記電子メール受信手段を制御して、受信した電子メールから設定ファイルを得、前記設定ファイルを用いて前記インターネットカメラの設定変更を行う制御手段とを有し、
    前記ファイル転送手段が前記画像データを前記所定のサイトに転送している間に前記電子メール受信手段が前記電子メールを受信した場合、前記制御手段は前記画像データの転送を中断して前記インターネットカメラの設定変更を行い、該設定変更の終了後に前記画像データの転送を再開すること、
    を特徴とするインターネットカメラ。
  2. 前記電子メールの内容を解析し、前記電子メールが添付ファイルを含んでいるかどうかを判断する電子メール解析手段を有することを特徴とする、請求項１記載のインターネットカメラ。
  3. 前記電子メールの内容を解析し、前記電子メールに含まれる添付ファイルが前記設定ファイルであるかどうかを判断する電子メール解析手段を有することを特徴とする、請求項１または請求項２記載のインターネットカメラ。
  4. 撮像装置により撮像した画像をデータとして記憶する画像データ記憶手段を備えたカメラであって、
    インターネットに接続するネットワーク・インターフェースと、
    画像データ記憶手段に格納された画像データを所定のネットワーク内の所定のサイトに転送するファイル転送手段と、
    所定のネットワーク内の所定のサイトに格納されている設定ファイルを読み込むファイル受信手段と、
    電子メールを受信する、電子メール受信手段と、
    前記電子メール受信手段を制御して、受信した電子メールからコマンドを得、該コマンドに従ってファイル転送手段およびネットワーク・インターフェースを制御して、少なくとも設定ファイルが前記サイトに転送されるまでインターネットの接続を切断し、しかるのちにインターネットに再接続しネットワーク・インターフェースおよびファイル受信手段を制御して設定ファイルを読み込み、前記設定ファイルを用いて前記インターネットカメラの設定変更を行う制御手段とを有し、
    前記ファイル転送手段が前記画像データを前記所定のサイトに転送している間に前記電子メール受信手段が前記電子メールを受信した場合、前記制御手段は前記画像データの転送を中断し、前記インターネットカメラの設定変更の終了後に前記画像データの転送を再開すること、
    を特徴とするインターネットカメラ。
  5. 前記電子メールの内容を解析して前記電子メールに所定のコマンドが含まれているかどうか判断する、電子メール解析手段を有することを特徴とする、請求項４記載のインターネットカメラ。
  6. 前記インターネットカメラがインターネットへの接続を切断している間に、外部からの電話を受信する電話受信手段と、
    前記電話受信手段が受信した電話の音声を解析し、前記音声が所定の信号であるかどうかを判断する、音声解析手段とを有し、
    前記音声が所定の信号であった場合に前記制御手段がネットワーク・インターフェースを制御して、インターネットに再接続をすることを特徴とする、請求項４または請求項５記載のインターネットカメラ。
  7. 前記インターネットカメラがインターネットへの接続を切断している間、
    前記音声解析手段が、前記電話受信手段が受信した呼び出し音を検知し、前記呼び出し音が所定の回数になったときにネットワーク・インターフェースを制御して、インターネットに再接続をすることを特徴とする、請求項６に記載のインターネットカメラ。
  8. 時間を測定するタイマー手段を有し、
    前記制御手段が前記タイマー手段を制御して、前記インターネットカメラがインターネットへの接続を切断した後に一定時間経過後、ネットワーク・インターフェースを制御して、インターネットに再接続をすることを特徴とする、請求項４または請求項５記載のインターネットカメラ。
