BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a vehicle start assist device for a vehicle on which a brake force is maintained even after the brake pedal is released when the brake pedal is depressed to stop, and the brake force retained at the time of starting is released.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A vehicle start assist device (Hill Start Aid: hereinafter also abbreviated as HSA) is one that can easily start a hill without using a side brake (parking brake). When such HSA is applied to a vehicle (a vehicle with a torque converter) in which a fluid coupling (including a torque converter) is interposed between the engine and the transmission, the brake pedal is released when the brake pedal is depressed and stopped. After that, keep the braking force, and then release the braking force that was held when the accelerator pedal was depressed.
[0003]
Specifically, a braking force holding valve that holds the braking force at that time by closing the passage in the fluid pressure passage between the master cylinder operated by the brake pedal and the wheel cylinder that operates the brake of the wheel. As shown in FIG. 5, after detecting that the brake pedal is depressed, the vehicle is stopped, and the gear is neutral, the brake force holding valve is closed and the brake pedal is released. However, the braking force is maintained, and after that, as shown in FIG. 6, when the accelerator pedal is depressed in the gear-in state, the braking force holding valve is opened (HSA is released).
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, as shown in FIG. 5, when the HSA is operated only when the gear is stopped in the neutral state (the braking force holding valve is closed), even if the vehicle is stopped in the gear-in state, the shift lever is moved to move the gear. If it is not neutral, the HSA cannot be operated, and the operation becomes complicated.
[0005]
In addition, when the gear is stopped in the neutral state and the HSA is operated, when the shift lever is moved and geared in to the starting stage, if the creep force generated by the gear-in is greater than the braking force generated by the operation of the HSA, the vehicle is driven by the creep force. Will move against the intention of the person (the intention that the vehicle should be stopped because the HSA is operating).
[0006]
In order to avoid this, as shown in FIG. 7, “brake pressure> P 1 A predetermined pressure P at which the brake pressure in the fluid pressure passage can counter the creep force of the starting stage. 1 It is conceivable to permit the operation of the HSA only when the above is reached, but the apparatus and control are complicated.
[0007]
The object of the present invention, which was created in view of the above circumstances, is that the HSA can be operated in the gear-in state without stopping the gear after each stop of the vehicle, and at this time, the creep force is detected without detecting the brake depression pressure. An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle slope starting assistance device that can prevent the vehicle from starting to move.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a vehicle slope start assisting device according to the present invention includes a fluid coupling interposed between an engine and a transmission that generates a predetermined creep force when the transmission is geared in, and a fluid pressure of a brake. A braking force holding device that is interposed in the passage and holds the braking force at that time by closing the passage, a gear-in sensor that detects gear-in or neutral of the transmission, and a brake sensor that detects depression of the brake pedal When, A vehicle slope start assisting device having a vehicle speed sensor for detecting a stop of the vehicle and a control device for controlling the operation / release of the braking force holding device, the control device comprising: When the depression is detected and the vehicle speed sensor detects the stop of the vehicle, the braking force holding device is allowed to operate, and thereafter , The brake sensor When the depression of the brake pedal is detected and the gear-in sensor detects a gear-in after detecting the neutral of the transmission, the brake force holding device is permitted to be released.
[0009]
According to the present invention, when the control device detects the depression of the brake pedal and the stop of the vehicle, the control device allows the operation of the braking force holding device regardless of whether the transmission is gear-in or neutral. Here, when the vehicle stops in a gear-in state, the vehicle is stopped with a foot brake force that exceeds the creep force. Therefore, if the foot brake stepping pressure is maintained by operating the braking force holding device, It is possible to prevent the vehicle from moving, and it is not necessary to detect the brake depression pressure. That is, according to the present invention, the HSA can be operated in the gear-in state without neutralizing the gear after stopping the vehicle, and the vehicle can be prevented from moving due to the creep force without detecting the brake depression pressure at that time.
[0010]
By the way, when the HSA is operated by depressing the brake pedal, gearing in, and stopping in this way, the release is only the depression of the accelerator pedal. This makes it impossible to start with the creep force by loosening the brake pedal during gear-in, and creep start / run, which is a merit of a vehicle with a torque converter, cannot be performed. In particular, when starting downhill, you cannot start by simply releasing the brake pedal, and you cannot start without depressing the accelerator pedal. This is not only contrary to the will of drivers who are used to driving conventional vehicles with torque converters. The vehicle is suddenly started, which is not preferable.
[0011]
Therefore, in the present invention, when the vehicle is stopped in the gear-in state and the HSA is operated. Once, When the gear-in operation was performed while stepping on the foot brake after the gear was operated in neutral, the HSA was released. As a result, it is possible to start with a creep force by loosening the depression of the brake pedal in the gear-in state, and it is also possible to avoid the occurrence of a jumping feeling when starting downhill.

The transmission 3 includes an input shaft 12, an output shaft 13 disposed coaxially with the input shaft 12, and a countershaft 14 disposed in parallel therewith. An input main gear 15 is provided on the input shaft 12. The output shaft 13 is supported by a first speed main gear 16, a second speed main gear 17, a third speed main gear 18, a fourth speed main gear 19, and a reverse main gear 20, and a sixth speed. A main gear 21 is fixed. The auxiliary shaft 14 has an input auxiliary gear 22 that meshes with the input main gear 15, a first-speed auxiliary gear 23 that meshes with the first-speed main gear 16, a second-speed auxiliary gear 24 that meshes with the second-speed main gear 17, and 3 A three-speed sub gear 25 meshing with the speed main gear 18, a four-speed sub gear 26 meshing with the fourth speed main gear 19, and a reverse sub gear 28 meshing with the reverse main gear 20 via the

Then, when the sleeve 39 spline-engaged with the hub 38 fixed to the output shaft 13 is spline-engaged with the dog 40 of the 4-speed main gear 19, the output shaft 13 rotates at a speed equivalent to the 4-speed, and the sleeve 39 is input to the input main gear. When the spline meshes with the dog 41 of the gear 15, the output shaft 13 rotates at the fifth speed (direct connection). When the sleeve 43 spline-engaged with the hub 42 fixed to the auxiliary shaft 14 is spline-engaged with the dog 44 of the sixth-speed auxiliary gear 29, the output shaft 13 rotates at the sixth speed.

Each of the sleeves 31, 35, 39, 43 is operated by a shift lever 45 shown in FIG. 3 in the cab via a shift fork and a shift rod (not shown). At this time, the wet multi-plate clutch 5 is disengaged so that the speed can be changed during the operation of each sleeve 31 and the like, and the wet multi-plate clutch 5 is connected to transmit the power of the

As shown in FIG. 3, the transmission 3 has a neutral gear (each sleeve 31, 35, 39, 43 is a dog 32, 33, 36, 37, 40, 41, 44 is also provided with a neutral sensor 46 for detecting that the spline is not engaged. In other words, the neutral sensor 46 is a gear-in sensor 46 that detects the presence or absence of gear-in of the transmission 3.
[0022]
Further, the transmission 3 is provided with a vehicle speed sensor 47 as shown in FIGS. The vehicle speed sensor 47 calculates the vehicle speed based on the rotation speed (rpm) of the output shaft 13 of the transmission 3. Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the

The accelerator pedal 53 is provided with an accelerator sensor 54 that detects whether or not the accelerator pedal 53 is in the idle position. [0026]
Further, an HSA release switch 55 for releasing the operation of the vehicle slope start assist device (HSA) is provided in the driver's cab. When the HSA release switch 55 is turned on, the HSA does not operate, and a normal vehicle not equipped with the HSA behaves in the same manner.

As shown in FIG. 3, the

[0029]
The braking force holding valve 61 is opened and closed as described later in response to a command from the control unit 56. In this embodiment, the control unit 56 permits the operation of the HSA, that is, the closing of the braking force holding valve 61 by the flow shown in FIG.
[0030]
First, in
[0031]
In
[0032]
In step 3, it is determined whether the brake pedal 51 is depressed. This judgment is made by a brake sensor 52 (a limit switch provided in the brake pedal 51) or a pressure switch (not shown) provided in the brake fluid pressure passage 60 (set pressure = 0.5 kg / cm). 2 Etc.). If the brake pedal 51 is not depressed, the process ends. If the brake pedal 51 is depressed, the process proceeds to step 4. That is, the HSA does not operate unless the brake pedal 51 is depressed.
[0033]
In step 4, it is determined whether the parking brake is off. This determination is made based on the output of the
[0034]
In step 5, it is determined whether the HSA release switch 55 is off. This determination is made based on the output of the HSA release switch 55 provided in the driver's cab. If the HSA release switch 55 is not off, that is, if it is on, the process ends. If the HSA release switch 55 is off, the process goes to step 27. . This reflects the driver's will. That is, even if the operating conditions of the HSA are met, the HSA does not operate when the driver turns on the HSA release switch 55 because he / she does not want to operate the HSA.
[0035]
In
[0036]
In step 7, a fault diagnosis of the system is performed to determine whether the system is normal. This failure diagnosis is performed by detecting whether each
[0037]
In step 8, it is determined whether the gear is neutral. This determination is made based on the output from the neutral sensor (gear-in sensor) 46 of the transmission 3. If the gear is neutral, the routine proceeds to step 9, the gear N (neutral) flag is set, and the HSA is operated at step 10 (the braking force holding valve 61 is closed). As a result, the braking force generated when the brake pedal 51 is depressed at that time is maintained even after the foot is released from the brake pedal 51, and the stop of the vehicle is maintained.
[0038]
In step 8, if the gear is not neutral, that is, if it is in a gear-in state, the process proceeds to step 11. In step 11, it is determined whether the accelerator pedal 53 is in the idle position. This determination is made based on the output of the accelerator sensor 54. If the accelerator pedal 53 is in the idle position, the process proceeds to step 10 where the HSA is activated (the braking force holding valve 61 is closed). As a result, if the accelerator pedal 53 is in the idle position even in the gear-in state, the braking force generated when the brake pedal 51 is depressed at that time is maintained even after the brake pedal 51 is released, and the vehicle is stopped. Retained.
[0039]
Here, the fact that the vehicle stops in the gear-in state means that the vehicle is stopped with a foot brake force that exceeds the creep force, and therefore the foot brake depression pressure (pressure in the brake fluid pressure passage 60) is represented by the braking force shown in FIG. If the holding valve 61 is held closed, the vehicle can be prevented from moving due to the creep force, and at this time, it is not necessary to detect the brake depression pressure that exceeds the creep force. That is, according to the present embodiment, the HSA can be operated in the gear-in state without neutralizing the gear after stopping the vehicle, and the vehicle can be prevented from moving due to the creep force without detecting the brake depression pressure at that time.
[0040]
On the other hand, in step 11, if the accelerator pedal 53 is not in the idle position, that is, if the accelerator pedal 53 is depressed, the process proceeds to the end without operating the HSA. The fact that the accelerator pedal 53 is depressed is considered that the driver is willing to start and it is not necessary to operate the HSA.
[0041]
Next, FIG. 2 shows HSA release conditions (opening conditions of the braking force holding valve 61).
[0042]
First, in step 21, it is determined whether the parking brake is on. This determination is made based on the output of the
[0043]
In step 22, it is determined whether the vehicle speed is 4.5 km / h or more. This determination is made based on the output from the vehicle speed sensor 47. If the vehicle speed is 4.5 km / h or more, the process proceeds to step 27, where the HSA is released (braking force holding valve 61 is opened). This is because if the vehicle speed is 4.5 km / h or more, it is not necessary to generate a braking force by HSA. On the other hand, if the vehicle speed is lower than 4.5 km / h, the process proceeds to step 23.
[0044]
In step 23, it is determined whether the HSA release switch 55 is on. This determination is made based on the output of the HSA release switch 55 provided in the cab. If the HSA release switch 55 is on, the process proceeds to step 27 where the HSA is released (the braking force holding valve 61 is opened). This reflects the driver's will. On the other hand, if the HSA release switch 55 is off, the process proceeds to step 24.
[0045]
In step 24, it is determined whether the gear is neutral. This determination is made based on the output from the neutral sensor (gear-in sensor) 46 of the transmission 3. If the gear is neutral, the gear N flag is set in step 28 and the process ends and the HSA is not released. The fact that the gear is neutral means that the driver does not intend to start the vehicle, and the operation of the HSA should be maintained (the braking force holding valve 61 is kept closed).
[0046]
On the other hand, if the gear is not neutral, that is, if it is in the gear-in state, the routine proceeds to step 25. In step 25, it is determined whether or not the gear N flag is set. If the gear N flag is not set, the routine proceeds to step 29. In step 29, it is determined by the accelerator sensor 54 whether the accelerator pedal 53 is depressed. If the accelerator pedal 53 is depressed more than a certain amount (for example, 3% or more), the process proceeds to step 27 where the HSA is released, otherwise the process ends without releasing the HSA.
[0047]
If the gear N flag is set in step 25, the process proceeds to step 26. In step 26, it is determined whether the brake pedal 51 is depressed. This judgment is made by a brake sensor 52 (a limit switch provided in the brake pedal 51) or a pressure switch (not shown) provided in the brake fluid pressure passage 60 (set pressure = 0.5 kg / cm). 2 Etc.). If the brake pedal 51 is depressed, the process proceeds to step 27, where the HSA is released. Otherwise, the process proceeds to step 29.
[0048]
In step 29, as described above, it is determined by the accelerator sensor 54 whether the accelerator pedal 53 is depressed. If the accelerator pedal 53 is depressed more than a certain amount (for example, 3% or more), the process proceeds to step 27 where the HSA is released, otherwise the process ends without releasing the HSA.
[0049]
The reason why such HSA release control is adopted will be described.
[0050]
As shown in FIG. 1, when the HSA is operated by depressing the brake pedal 51 (step 3), gear-in (steps 8 and 11), and stopping (step 1), the release is not limited to the accelerator pedal 53. I don't get it. This is because if the HSA is released by depressing the brake pedal 51, the gear-in and the vehicle stop are the conditions for releasing the HSA, and the HSA releasing condition overlaps with the HSA operating condition, resulting in control interference. .
[0051]
However, if the release of the HSA is performed by depressing the accelerator pedal 53, it is impossible to start with the creep force by loosening the depressing of the brake pedal 51 during gear-in, and creep starting / running, which is a merit of a vehicle with a torque converter, is not possible. I can't. In particular, when starting downhill, it is not possible to start only by loosening the brake pedal 51, and it is not possible to start unless the accelerator pedal 53 is depressed, which is contrary to the intention of the driver who is used to driving a conventional vehicle with a torque converter. This is not preferable because it causes a sudden start of the vehicle.
[0052]
Therefore, when the vehicle is stopped in the gear-in state shown in FIG. 1 and the HSA is operated (steps 8, 11, 10), as shown in steps 24, 25, and 29 in FIG. As shown in steps 24, 25, and 26, when the gear is operated neutrally and then the foot brake 51 is depressed and the gear-in operation is performed, the HSA is released. Accordingly, it is possible to start with a creep force by loosening the depression of the brake pedal 51 in the gear-in state, and it is possible to avoid the occurrence of a jumping feeling when starting on a downhill.
[0053]
That is, the control unit 56 shown in FIG. 3 detects when the gear-in sensor 46 detects gear-in of the transmission 3 and the accelerator pedal sensor 54 detects depression of the accelerator pedal 53 (steps 24, 25, 29, and 27), or a brake sensor. When 52 detects the depression of the brake pedal 51 and the gear-in sensor 46 detects the neutral of the transmission 3 and then detects a gear-in (steps 24, 25, 26, and 27), the brake force holding valve 61 is allowed to open.
[0054]
In this way, the HSA release condition does not overlap with and interfere with the HSA operation condition, and creep start / running by loosening the brake pedal 51, which is a merit of the vehicle with the torque converter, is possible. That is, according to the present embodiment, after the operation of the HSA (after the braking force holding valve 61 is closed), it is possible to start with the creep force regardless of whether the accelerator pedal 53 or the brake pedal 51 is depressed. There is no control interference between the operation and release of.
[0055]
In the present embodiment, a two-shaft manual transmission as shown in FIG. 4 is used for the transmission 3 and a wet multi-plate clutch 5 and a fluid coupling 4 are used for the

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the vehicle slope starting assistance device of the present invention, the following effects can be exhibited.
(1) In a vehicle equipped with a fluid coupling that generates a predetermined creep force when the transmission is geared in, the HSA can be operated in the gear-in state without making the gear neutral after the vehicle stops, and the brake depression pressure is set at that time. It is possible to prevent the vehicle from moving due to the creep force without detection.
(2) After operation of HSA (after closing of braking force holding valve) Next, by depressing the brake pedal and gearing in from the neutral, The vehicle can be started with creep force, and control interference between the operation and release of the HSA can be avoided.
