[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and a high tensile strength is imparted to the internally reinforced brittle fiber material, which can be easily braided or twisted. Provided is a gland packing material that can prevent sealing and maintain high shape retention, and that can prevent adhesive curing, adhesive burnout, and the like, and a gland packing manufactured using the gland packing material. The purpose is that.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the gland packing material according to the first aspect of the present invention is a base material in which a reinforcing material made of a brittle fiber material in which a brittle fiber bundle is made wide and thin is provided on at least one side of a band-like expanded graphite. However, the reinforcing material is twisted inside, and the twisted reinforcing material is formed between the brittle fibers in the brittle fiber bundle. And face the expanded graphiteThere are many openings, these openingsThe opening is formed by compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on a reinforcing material provided withIt is characterized by the fact that expanded graphite is allowed to face.
[0009]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a gland packing material in which a base material provided with a reinforcing material made of a brittle fiber material in which a brittle fiber bundle is made thin and thin is provided on at least one surface of a band-shaped expanded graphite with the reinforcing material inside. The wound reinforcement is formed between brittle fibers in the brittle fiber bundle. And face the expanded graphiteThere are many openings, these openingsThe opening is formed by compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on a reinforcing material provided withIt is characterized by the fact that expanded graphite is allowed to face.
[0010]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided a gland packing material in which a base material in which a reinforcing material made of a brittle fiber material in which a brittle fiber bundle is widened and thin is provided on at least one side of a strip-shaped expanded graphite has the reinforcing material inside. The wound and twisted reinforcement is formed between brittle fibers in the brittle fiber bundle. And face the expanded graphiteThere are many openings, these openingsThe opening is formed by compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on a reinforcing material provided withIt is characterized by the fact that expanded graphite is allowed to face.
[0011]
As in the fourth aspect of the present invention, it is preferable to provide a reinforcing material made of a brittle fiber material in which a brittle fiber bundle is widened and thinned on one side of the band-shaped expanded graphite.
[0012]
As in the invention described in
[0013]
As in the sixth aspect of the invention, the brittle fiber material in which the brittle fiber bundle is made thin and wide is any one of glass such as E glass, T glass, C glass, and S glass, or ceramic such as silica, alumina, and alumina silica. It is preferable that
[0014]
A gland packing according to a seventh aspect of the invention is characterized in that a plurality of gland packing materials according to any one of the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth aspects are braided.
[0015]
The gland packing according to the invention described in
[0016]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the brittle fiber material has a characteristic that does not break even when twisted, the reinforcing material made of the brittle fiber material in which the brittle fiber bundle is made thin and wide is broken. The gland packing material which coat | covered this brittle fiber material with strip | belt-shaped expanded graphite as an inner reinforcement material is obtained.
Also,By compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on the reinforcing materialExpanded graphite is formed between brittle fibers in a brittle fiber bundle provided in a reinforcing material made of a brittle fiber material that makes the brittle fiber bundle wide and thin. And face the expanded graphiteThe anchoring action that engages with the reinforcing material facing a large number of openings increases the bonding force between the expanded graphite and the reinforcing material. To zeroEven when braiding or twisting to manufacture the gland packing, the reinforcing material becomes difficult to separate from the strip-shaped expanded graphite, and the internal reinforcing effect can be effectively exhibited.
Furthermore, since the usage-amount of an adhesive agent can be restrict | limited to zero or a very small amount, the fall of the characteristics (affinity, compression restoration property, etc.) of strip | belt-shaped expanded graphite by adhesive hardening can be suppressed.
In addition, since the band-like expanded graphite imparts favorable sealing properties such as compressibility and restoring property, high sealing properties can be obtained. Furthermore, when compression or pressure is applied, the band-shaped expanded graphite has a sandwich structure, and the movement of the expanded graphite particles is suppressed, so that the shape retention can be improved.
[0017]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the brittle fiber material has a characteristic that it does not break even when it is wound, the reinforcing material made of the brittle fiber material in which the brittle fiber bundle is made thin and wide is broken. Instead, a gland packing material in which the brittle fiber material is coated with band-shaped expanded graphite as an inner reinforcing material can be obtained.
In addition, reduce the amount of adhesive usedTo zeroBy being able to do, the fall of the characteristics (affinity, compression recovery property, etc.) of the strip-like expanded graphite by adhesive hardening can be controlled.
[0018]
According to the invention described in
Also,By compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on the reinforcing materialExpanded graphite is formed between brittle fibers in a brittle fiber bundle provided in a reinforcing material made of a brittle fiber material that makes the brittle fiber bundle wide and thin.

Furthermore, when compression or pressure is applied, the band-shaped expanded graphite has a sandwich structure, and the movement of the expanded graphite particles is suppressed, so that the shape retention can be improved.
[0019]
Even if a reinforcing material made of a brittle fiber material in which a brittle fiber bundle is made wide and thin is provided on one side of the band-like expanded graphite as in the invention described in
[0020]
According to the invention described in
[0021]
According to invention of Claim 6, it can provide at low cost compared with a metal wire.
[0022]
According to the seventh aspect of the present invention, since the gland packing is formed by braiding using a plurality of the above gland packing materials, it is possible to improve the shape retention by preventing the expanded graphite from falling off during braiding. it can. For this reason, the elasticity of the grant packing is not lowered, and the sealing properties of the grant packing can be improved while maintaining favorable sealing properties such as compressibility and recoverability. Further, even when used under high heat conditions, the sealing performance is not deteriorated due to burning of the adhesive.
