Claims (3)
- 内燃機関の制御装置であって、
前記内燃機関は、
複数のバンクと、
前記複数のバンクに対応してそれぞれ設けられ、吸気弁の動作特性を変化させる複数の可変動弁機構と、
前記複数の可変動弁機構の制御する制御装置とを含み、
前記制御装置は、前記複数の可変動弁機構のそれぞれに対応する複数の制御情報を積算して制御を行ない、前記複数の制御情報のうちの1つが不明となった場合には、不明となった制御情報に対応するバンクの可変動弁機構について前記制御情報の学習処理を行ない、他のバンクの可変動弁機構については、対応する制御情報を用いる制御を続行し、
前記複数の可変動弁機構の各々は、
駆動要素を動かすことによって対応するバンクの前記吸気弁の最大リフト量を決定するアクチュエータと、
前記アクチュエータの前記駆動要素の相対位置変化を検知するセンサとを含み、
前記制御情報は、前記センサの出力に応じて基準位置に前記相対位置変化を積算することによって算出した前記駆動要素の絶対位置を含み、
前記制御装置は、前記複数のバンクのうちの第1のバンクに対する算出した前記絶対位置が不明となった場合には、前記吸気弁の最大リフト量が最小となる側の前記駆動要素の第1の動作限界値に前記絶対位置を仮設定し、前記駆動要素が前記第1の動作限界と反対側の第2の動作限界に至るまで前記アクチュエータを前記最大リフト量が徐々に増加するように動作させ、前記駆動要素が前記第2の動作限界に至ったときに第1の基準位置を前記絶対位置として学習し、前記絶対位置が不明となっていない第2のバンクに対しては、前記第1、第2の動作限界の間の所定範囲において前記第1のバンクに対応させて前記駆動要素を前記アクチュエータによって動作させる、内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記複数の可変動弁機構の各々は、
開弁時期を前後に移動させるバルブタイミング機構をさらに含み、
前記制御装置は、前記第1の基準位置を学習するための動作中は、前記第1、第2のバンクの前記バルブタイミング機構に対し共に前記開弁時期を所定の中間位置に保持させる、請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記複数の可変動弁機構の各々は、駆動要素を動かすことによって前記最大リフト量の増加とともにクランク角度を単位とする開弁範囲を示す作用角も増加させる、請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
